How do you restore ringtones on a new phone?

I have done it once before but I can't find out how now!! Please help! I have over $20 in ringtones

Ah. So, the reason it'll help to use as new device is because typically the app data is not the issue. It's a corrupt system file. So using new device takes away any corrupt system files and almost always solves most any issue. However it does cause the pain of having to add everything back. I've done this in cases where restoring from backup just didn't solve my issue. It ***** but is sometimes needed.

  • How do you restore iphone as a new phone?

    Hi there,
How do you restore iphone as a new phone? Actually, I know how to restore it but I'm not sure how to get the files back on after... I don't really understand how this will be any different from just restoring from a backup if I'm just going to put the content on later anyways.
Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated!
The reason I'm asking about this is because my battery life on my 4S is soooo bad!

  • How do you restore  icloud data to new phone

I have just gotten a replacement phone and I think I correctly saved my data on icloud.  Now I want to restore it on the new phone.  I can't seem to figure out how to do it .  Please help.

If the phone is already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Make sure it's connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

  • How do you transfer ringtones to a new phone?

I purchased a ringtone on my old phone and don't know how to get it on my new phone without repurchasing it?

    Hi JBob2,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you have a previously purchased ringtone that you would like to recover. In this situation, I would recommend working through the steps provided in the attached article.

  • How can I restore ringtones from my old phone to my new phone?

How can I restore my ringtones from my old phone to my new phone? I know I've done it before, but I can't figure it out.
    Thanks!
    Lynn

If you purchased them from Verizon, you MAY be able to recover them by logging in to your account and checking under MyMedia to see if it's available. You may need to repurchase, since in most cases, ring tones are purchased for the specific device and do not transfer to a new device.
You can also use a service like Phonezoo to get ringtones; it keeps track of all your downloaded ringtones and wallpapers and you can get them again for a new device - and it's all free.

  • HT201269 how do i restore from iCloud on new phone?

    I have a new 4s that I got from the AT&T store.
They got me up and running by getting my contacts downloaded.
Now I've hooked up to iPhone to restore from iCloud.
Do I want to restore or do I want to back up?
I can't figure out how to get my music to migrate to my new phone.
I have backed up my old phone to the cloud.
I don't seem to be getting the automatic prompts all the articles talk about and I think it's because at the store they only did contacts.

If you backup with iTunes and you restored from the backup and the data are gone, then there is no where to retrieve them from unless you have another backup that contains those data.
Launch iTunes on the computer and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed in it.
If you see a recent backup that you are certain contains the data that you need, recover deleted data from iPhone backup.
If your note is gone from iCloud.com there is only a few ways to possibly recover it.
The first things I would check is a iCloud Backup, a iTunes Backup, or a 3rd party email that may have contained the note. To restore from a iCloud or iTunes backup follow this link. This article explains how to restore a device from either back up.
Note if you have backed up since the note went missing, you will not have the note on the backup. Make sure you do not back up if trying to restore from a back up as this will back up the content without the note.
To get to the "Set up assistant" on an iOS device, you must go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings. Once the phone restarts, you will be at the "Set up Assistant"

I just bought new 4s and store turned it on. Had previously backed up everything from my 4 phone to the cloud. Now need to restore all 10 gigs of data to my 4s from the cloud, but 4s has no restore button. All backup does is send more data to the cloud from the new 4s. HELP....

If the phone is already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Make sure it's connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

in the new tab page, how do you restore sites you've deleted.

You can only edit the content of the chromeappsstore.sqlite file with an SQLIte manager like this Firefox extension:
    * SQLite Manager: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/sqlite-manager/
    # open Profile Directory -> chromeappsstore.sqlite -> Go
    # open Table > webappsstore2
    # select the "Browse & Search" tab to see all entries in that table
You can select the "batwen.:about" "blockedLinks" line and click the Delete button on the toolbar to remove that record and reset the deleted sites.

how do you restore a password on a locked folder made in disk utility?

    Hello there, HoseDwellers.
The following Knowledge Base article as a great step by step instructional on how to change the password for the account:
OS X: Changing or resetting an account password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274
Resetting a user's password in OS X Lion and Mountain Lion
Important: Passwords for administrator accounts should not be blank.
Log in with an administrator account. Tip: If you don't know the password of any administrator accounts, see "Resetting the original administrator account password" below.
From the Apple menu choose System Preferences.
From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
Click the lock button if it appears locked; enter the administrator password.
Select the name of the user whose password you want to change.
Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button.
Enter a new password in both the New Password and Verify fields, and add a Password Hint if desired.
Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button. This should get you taken care of.
Remember, also, that you can restart the computer (you will be prompted to enter your administrator password) and this should log him out  so that when you log back in, you can then follow the above steps with success.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
