How do you restore the Launchpad icon to the Dock?

Having deleted the Launchpad icon from the Dock during a "tidy up" - can it be restored?

OMG. The one thing I didn't try & of course it's that simple.
Thanks MacJack.

In the playlist, Right Mouse click on the column headers and it will give you a list to choose from in the pop up select Last Played and that column will display

  • How do you restore the previous button & remove / hide the autosync button?

The 'Previous' button at the bottom of the toolbar has disappeared and now it only shows the sync / autosync button & reset.  How do I restore the Previous button? (LR 5.4)

The sync/auto sync button should only display when you have multiple images selected. But after reading your question I went into Lightroom to confirm that. And it seems that the button is kind of "sticky". After having multiple images selected and then deselected, I had to move between images a few times before the "Previous" button returned. I've only checked it briefly.
Later: just tried it again, and it isn't sticky anymore. Must've been a momentary glitch.

How do I restore the black background in safari from the dull gray to an acceptable black?

No. The general theory is that the pics are easier to edit against black.

  • How do you restore the settings icon?

How do I retrieve the settings icon on a 5c phone?

Try a search to see if you can find it. It is a native iOS app and cannot be deleted. If it does not show in a folder, or in the search, then try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. See if you can locate it then. If not, then you will have to perform a restore, since the other software reset commands are in the Settings app.

Sorry that app can't be deleted, because it is a built in app.
Check your other home screens or app folders.
last resort - settings - general - reset - reset home screen layout.

  • How do you restore the system from a backup file that you created previously

I have a notebook, Pavilion g6 - 1031TX running windows 7 64bit OS, and ran the backup utility a few weeks ago before running a full system recovery to attemp to fix an issue - this issue was fixed by warranty, and now I need to recover everything from the backup files, I have run the restore executable in the folder and it created another folder on my C: drive (System recovery files), how do I use this to restore the system to its previous state?

Unfortunately, the backup utilty portion of Recovery is not optimal solution for restoring many files.Unless you know exactly where they go you are stuck. Most of the important stuff such as photos, music, etc will be in the 'Users' folder under your user name. You will have to manually move them to correct location.
A better option in the future is Windows 7's backup app in Control Panel.

  • How do you restore the Mail accounts, files, etc.?

Mail was working fine until an error came up that said the Home folder was full. I cleaned up the drive and have additional free space. I also removed the Envelope file as directed in another post. Mail will will start but it wants me to start over. Last night, I backed up the entire "User" folder on an external hard drive. How do I restore mail?

Mail will will start but it wants me to start over.
Does this mean you are prompted to enter email account information again or you are prompted to import mailboxes when first launching Mail after removing the Envelope Index file?
If the former, did you also remove the Mail.app preference file (com.apple.mail.plist) out of the Preferences folder at Home > Library > Preferences?

  • How do you restore the toolbars

When I click a shortcut on my desktop when the page opens all the toolbars and address bar are gone. The page opens at the top of the webpage. This does not happen when I open Internet Explorer. In fact the top of this page is at the top of my monitor screen. I cannot see anything above the ASK A QUESTION, heading. When this happened I made an online payment to a credit card.

  • How can you "freeze" the dock?

Sometimes, I will accidentally pull an item off the Dock. The item disappears, and I will have to search for the item and reinstall it.
How can I make Dock items (like "Applictions," "Library," "Movies," etc. so they don't move?

Tinker Tool was promising, but Dock items are fairly easily movable/removable with or without the software.
On the other hand, it seems that the people from Onyx have produced a piece of software, Deeper. It looks very promising...but can only be used with 10.4 so far. Came upon it purely by accident. Who knows when it will be Leopard enabld?

  • How do you get the dock to unhide? I've tried everything

My dock disappears everytime I go onto the internet but appears when I click off of of the webpage. I've been to my system preferences and everything says that hiding is off. Please help. I also can't see the bar at the top either.

If the browser is in full screen mode then exit by pressing esc.  The dock always hides with apps in full screen mode.

  • How do you restore the music app on my ipad?

I accedintly deleted the shortcut to "music",  and I have no idea how to get it back. I know it's still there, for I can search for it. I just would like it back on my main page.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home screen layout. That will return the app icon to your home screen but will also return the home screen layout to the way it looked "out of the box".
Or swipe from screen to screen and look for it on another screen.
You can also restrict content in the music app on the iPad in restrictions, but I don't think that removes the icon from the screen, so I don't think that's a solution.
