How do you save an image from the internet to your firefox os phone

Save images to your phone

Hi xpdos,
Thanks for using Firefox OS. We don't currently support downloading an image from the browser, but we have landed a fix that will appear in a future update.

  • How do you add a picture from the internet to Keynote

I am trying to do a Keynote Presentation but don't know how to add pictures from internet

    Simplest way:
1.Save the image you want from the internet on your desktop. Then just drag and drop it on your presentation.
    2. If you want, use a photo masterslide and drop the picture you want onto the standard picture the theme has.
Then you can resize it if needed.
    3. Or: Insert -> Choose... -> and select your photo from your directory.

  • How do i save a photo from the internet to my photo library?

I want to save some copyright-free photos and clip art to my photo library. How do I do that?

Most times you can simply drag the photo onto the desktop and it creates a file which you can then move elsewhere.
Some websites don't allow their photo's to be used.
However OS X has a neat trick, simply hold
    command shift 4
and a cross hairs appears which you then can take a snapshot of anything on the screen just about, even upload it here with the camera icon.
there is also command shift 3 which takes the whole screen.
there are a bunch of others, like to take a picture of the current window etc.
Finally Quicktime allows video recording of the whole screen, for recording segments you may need something like SnapZPro X still.

  • How do you save my files from the recovery HD.

My Macbook keeps processing, so I went to the recovery hd amd mac os x utilitiles.  from this point i am trying save my files so i can erase disk using disk utility.  any ideas.

If you have an external hard drive, you can use the Restore tab in Disk Utility to copy the contents of one disk to another.  Note that this will erase the destination drive, and may very well fail.  You could also use the command line in the Terminal from recovery mode and copy files that way, but that requires knowledge of how to use Unix filesystem commands.  You could also try connecting the Mac to another Mac via Firewire target disk mode and copy the data that way.
Alternately, if your Mac won't start up, you could try just repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility and then installing Mac OS X on top of your existing system.  That will replace all the system files but leave your files and apps alone.  (Of course, things can go wrong in cases like this, so making some kind of backups would be a good idea.)

    Thanks in advance...

you can use the bitmapdata class'es draw() method to create a scaled image that you want.  you can then save it using one of the third party bitmap save classes and server-side script.

I am creating a poster on a website and want to upload some images of stars onto the poster. They can just be graphics. Can this be done?
    How? Thanks!

Yes.  Use Google to search for the type of stars you want to use for your poster.  Download them to your desktop & follow the instructions on the poster website on how to upload to your poster.

How do you save a picture from email to the iPhoto?

Click and hold on the Save button, and a menu appears, listing each attached file’s name along with a Save As button. Select any individual file, and you’ll save just that attachment to disk. But the really nice feature is the final menu item—Add to iPhoto. That’s right; with one button click-and-hold, you can add all of a message’s attached images to iPhoto.

  • How do you copy images from the internet and paste them on Microsoft Word

Hi Lily, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
A screenshot can capture almost anything you're viewing. Hold the command and shift keys down, then press the 4 key and release all keys. Hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor to the size/area of the image you want to capture. Release the mouse button and you've captured the image. Remember that it is the individual's responsibility to respect copyright laws.

  • Does anyone know how to use pages so you can export pdfs from the internet and automatically drag words from the document into the file name of the pdf (i.e., author, title of a scientific paper)

Does anyone know how to use pages so you can export pdfs from the internet and automatically drag words from the document into the file name of the pdf (i.e., author, title of a scientific paper). For example, if I am downloading a paper by smith called "Surgery" that was published in 2002, it will automatically set the file name in the download to smith- surgery 2002. I have heard pages is smart enough to do this.
    thank you

Pages can export only its own documents. They may be exported as PDF, MS Word, RTF or Text files.
Pages can import (ie. Open a file as, or Insert a file into, a Pages document) documents in several formats, but won't rename the document as you describe. Documents that can be Opened (eg. Text, AppleWorks 6 WP, MS Word files) are converted to Pages documents, and retain their original names, with .pages replacing the original file extension. Files that can be Inserted (generally .jpg, .pdf and other image files) become part of the existing Pages file and lose their names.
It may be possible, using AppleScript, to extract the text you want and to Save a Pages file using that text as the filename, but that would depend in part on being able to identify which text is wanted and which is not.
How will the script determine where the author's name begins and where it ends?
How will the script recognize the beginning and of the title, an decide how much of the title to use in the filename?
How will the script recognize the year of publication?
For papers published in a specific journal, with a strict format for placing each of these pieces on information, or containing the needed information as searchable meta data in the file, this might be possible. But it would require knowledge of the structure of these files, and would probably handle only papers published in a specific journal or set of journals.
Outside my field of knowledge, but there are some talented scripters around here who might want to take a closer look.
    Best of luck.
    Regards,
    Barry

How can I get an image from the screen? Like screen printer in PC to pasting after in word or other program.

If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

  • How do you save "game state" so the user can continue next time?

I'm not sure what the correct game terminology is for this, but how do you save "game state" so the user can continue next time?
This seems like a pretty important feature for building some games, we don't want users to have to start over everytime.
Any ideas if this is possible?

Check out my blog post on the PersistenceManager:
    http://www.unitedmindset.com/jonbcampos/2010/11/01/flex-4-5-persistencemanager/
This will help you understand how to store the data. When the app starts up again get the state information from the persistencemanager and reset you game to the state you need. It requires a bit of code for the startup, but it is relatively simple.
