How do you script in Photoshop?

I've asked everywhere but here. Please where is there an option to script in Photoshop. Im tryin gto make the hands on a clock go around, which I have the script for it, I just need to use it in Photoshop. Somebody please direct me or help me.

There is a folder called 'Scripting' in your PS app installation directory. It's full of docs and examples. Start there.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry. To find your anchors again, spread your 2 fingers apart on screen to zoom the canvas out. You should be able to access the Fade anchors again! Hope this helps

How do you save your external edits from Photoshop back to iPhoto?
Fine, I know how it can be done ONCE : you simply flatten the image and then hit Save, and you see your edited image in iPhoto.
But, what if you FIRST want to save the .psd document complete with layers outside iPhoto, THEN flatten the image and save as a jpeg back to iPhoto? I tried this yesterday. I saved as a PSD file - with all layers and a new name - to my Pictures folder. Then I flattened the image and wanted to save it to iPhoto, but the temporary iPhoto location had disappeared from the Photoshop Save dialogue and Photoshop now displayed it under the new name.
This is annoying : you've got to save the PSD document first in order to preserve the layers. But when you do this, you lose the ability to save the image a second time, all layers flattened, back to iPhoto.

But if I'd flattened the psd without saving it as a psd, I could simply have saved it back to iPhoto (I've done that before).
Hold on - perhaps that's the answer...
What if..
1. I flatten the image and Save it back to iPhoto, then ...
2. Undo the 'flatten image' in Photoshop, then save THAT version as a psd?
I'll try this and let you know if it works.

Unless your photos are stored in a Dropbox or other on-line type file site (as well as your computer) you cannot expect to see them on another computer. The same goes for the catalog.

How to Attach Script to Photoshop Action or Folder?

I'm not familiar with Applescript at all! However, I downloaded a script for use with Photoshop which crops an image to a specific format. It works great if I've got an image open in Photoshop.
What I can't figure out how to do is to either apply that script to an entire folder to process all images in that folder, or better yet, record a Photoshop Action that uses that script.
How can I use that script to do a batch process from either Photoshop or the Finder?

How do I fix this so I can actually use Photoshop? I have tried un/installing, force stop, turning on and off my tablet....nothing seems to be working! How much storage do you have left on that 64GB SSD? 4GB ram is fairly comfortable (if you're doing absolutely nothing else) while using Flash. The paired down tablet specs are most certainly crimping the performance.
You have to know apps like Photoshop may let you brush but the application is primarily a bitmap engine which operates at memory speed and certainly has no overhead from being a multimedia, scriptable IDE. As you pile up dozens of layers, especially with vectors and filters, Photoshop will also start to lag just the same.
You have to keep in mind, you really have a tablet. The i5 1.6GHz is not a normal i5, it's a mobile i5 product. I have an i5 quad also (2500k), but the desktop model (Sandy/Ivy) runs at 3.7GHz in turbo, and that's an old model (Sandy). Also the desktop i5 has Intel HD4000 graphics which is extremely slow (outside simple video playback) and your i5 is even slower, only Intel HD3000 graphics. Clearly there's a big difference and you should expect tablet performance.
Just about the only thing you can do to increase performance, especially in a vector heavy app, is reduce any other things going on. Slim out your OS as best you can, removing any unnecessary apps or services running. Update all your drivers and if you're not using WHQL drivers for the HD3000 on your display driver you should revert back to Win7 for fully supported drivers (which is the version of Windows I think the Slate originally came with). Unless something is corrupt or no WHQL driver support exists for HD3000, I don't see what else it can be besides perhaps no WHQL support for your input driver either.
I'm on a 5 year old Dell touchscreen laptop at a higher resolution (1600x900) running an old i7 @ 1.6GHz quad (similar to yours) with 4GB DDR2 (slower) and Flash runs perfectly fine. Although I'm not running Intel HD graphics. I'm running it on a discreet ATI Mobility Radeon HD.

I am trying to help a user convert a photoshop file back into an .eps file. She was unable to open the ,eps file so I installed the Premiere Elements 13 to her workstation and point the file to open with Premiere and now it changed all her .eps files to photoshop files. How do I convert back?

You can't do that using Photoshop it being a raster based application. In order to convert back to a vector based eps file you will have to use Illustrator and do a bunch of things to recreate the vectors.
If you save to eps in Photoshop they will not be vector based files.

Have you installed the Desktop Application manager that has an icon like this:

This is where you install Photoshop CC from. If on Windows 7, you'll find find the Photoshop icon in Start > All Programs. If Windows 8.1, got to Start screen and start typing 'Photoshop'. If Mac, I have no idea.

Does your Lenovo have a USB 2.0, or 3.0, or a FireWire port?
If so, then I see two methods, but they will involve other equipment, at some point:
Curt's suggestion should work just fine. However, you will need a computer WITH a multi-drive (either internal, or external). With that other computer (maybe even one on display in a computer/electronics store, or at a friend's house), just Copy the full installation disc(s) to a USB thumbdrive, and insert that into the USB port on the Lenovo.
Borrow, or buy, an external USB 2.0, or 3.0, or FireWire multi-drive, and use that to install from. If you borrow, I think that I would do it very slightly differently, and would Copy the installation disc(s) to my internal HDD, and install from there.
Possibility would be to download the program's installation file(s) for the trial (say from ProDesignTools - be sure to read ALL instructions carefully), install, then plug in your S/N to convert that trial to the full-paid version, and Activate. Obviously, you will need an Internet connection for this method. However, since you are posting here, it is very likely that you have an Internet connection available somewhere. This would probably be the way to go, if your Lenovo does not have USB, or FW.

I have a lot of photographs with metadata and tags in Photoshop Album version 2.0 and I want to pull thee images, metadata, and tags into Photoshop Elements version 13.0 on a Windows 7 computer. Searching the web I found that this has to be done with the convert feature. I tried File, Manage Catalogs, Convert and point to the folder holding my Photo Project Catalog.psa file, but nothing happens. It does not apparently see the .psa file. How do I get my .psa catalog migrated into Elements 13?

How do you launch trial Photoshop after a seemingly successful install?

I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS5.5. The installation progress went to 100% and I clicked "Done". The only icon on desktop is "Adobe Download Assistant". Surely something is wrong but I'm not sure where to troubleshoot. Photoshop was installed on a PC using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I found a folder with "Set- up", but that started "Initializing Installer", Been there, done that. Any thoughts?

Are you able to locate the program under Start>All Programs? Photoshop CS5.5 does not create a shortcut automatically on the desktop for you. You will need to create your own shortcut if you wish to launch Photoshop from the desktop. Please also make sure to create a shortcut and not move the application to the desktop.
