How do you select the play length bar in an iphone/ipod?

Sometimes I have a single song file of a book which is quite long, 10 hours, so I need to be able to restart where I left off. It is easy to mess up and end up back at the beginning. I have noticed that sometimes Imusic shows a play back length bar which would allow me to go back into the middle of a long song, rather than start all over again. I can't figure how this play length bar is activated, even though I have seen it often. See the upper bar in image below.

When your music is playing, with the screen as shown in your first picture, tap the screen to make the scrub bar appear.

Here is the workaround for sorting your bookmarks - you don't have to do it manually as suggested in the previous answer here. This is from a 2006 page at Hints.Macworld.com
"One thing that bugs me is that there is no option in Safari to alphabetize bookmarks. I had a crazy idea about how to accomplish this, and it seems to work. Hopefully I'm not missing something more obvious.
What I did was open the Bookmarks window (Bookmarks: Show All Bookmarks), put the links I wanted to alphabetize into a folder, and then dragged that folder into the Finder. The Finder alphabetizes the bookmarks; you can then just drag the folder back into the Bookmarks window. You probably have to set the Finder to arrange files by name before it will work. Hope this helps!
[robg adds: When you drag the folder back, you'll now have two folders, the original and the sorted one. Just delete the original, and you're set. You can also do this without first creating a Safari folder. If you're like me and you like to keep all of your bookmarks in folders in the Bookmarks bar, then from the Bookmarks window you would open the Bookmarks Bar in a window of its own before doing the above.

How do you reset the Work Area Bar to auto adjust?

This is something that's been a thorn in my side for a while. Maybe I'm just being OCD about it... but I've been wondering if there is a way, once you reposition the I / O points of the Work Area Bar (WAB) you can get Pr to go back to auto adjusting it to the end of your clip.
You can double-click it to get it to expand to the full length of the sequence, if you remember to do that... Sometimes I'm in a rush, or I have 10 sequences and I miss the fact that my WAB is not all the way to the end. I select and batch drag them all to Media Encoder and *POW*... I've forgotten to stretch the Out to end on one sequence ... and I have to re-render. A pain, yes, something I should have double checked, but at 2am these things can get missed.
So, can you get the Work Area Bar to auto adjust again?
If yes, it's probably something ridiculously obvious – but I'll take it!

I would have an issue with auto or a default for a number of reasons.
Not least this one...
I now place dummy clip ( black video) a distance off the end of my sequence to prevent the End of Sequence Marker displaying at the end of my edited material. I dont want that included in an export.
Here is another...
As I get to lock down and I am sending previews to clients...I insert Black Video head and tail of the edit so that the preview does not start jarringly on first frame video. I have I and Os marked so that I can simply export "Program at length (without black head and tail) when I come to master.
and...
Often I have edit versions (TVCs) on the same time line ( sequence) and I need to adjust WAB or I/Os to export them separately.
Automating stuff to eliminate our dumb moments doesnt help much because it just opens the chance of another dumb moment driven by expectation and forgetfulness. .
Mental checklist is the only way IMHO.

Can i suggest that you explore al the tools there are drop down menus and on the panels as well in the upper right hand corner there is a drop down with useful functions and options. Also look at the control panel under the menu bar as you change tools to see the option each tool has and also some tools have further settings if you double click the icon in the tool bar other have option if you click in the document window once you have selected them.
But the best advice I can give you is to buy Mordy Goldings book Real World Illustrator CS 4 he also has one for the suites, it is a worthwhile investment.

How do you make the Safari menu bars at the top and bottom of the browser go away in iOS7 when you can't scroll the screen?

The menu bar at the bottom of Safari screens only goes away if you scroll the screen. But for one page content, the screen can't be scrolled which renders useless any links/buttons at the bottom of the page.
Is there a fix for this in iOS7?
In iOS6, users needed only to tap the screen to remove the Safari menu bars. This does not work in iOS6.

How do you select the ical calendar which an event is added to?

Since switching from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4, I cannot choose which ical calendar to add an event to. It used to be an option when you created a new event, but now it creates all events in a new calendar, called 'calendar', which I neither want, nor seem to be able to delete. There appears to be no way to select the calendar or edit which calendar the event appears in. This is important to me as my 'work' calendar is shared with multiple colleagues.

How do you select the center of a box in CS5?

I notice in CS5 that you can no longer select a box - say a picture box - click on the center and snap it to a guide or move to a location. You can only grab the edge of the box to move it. I'm sure this is a vast improvement but I don't like it. Is there a pref to turn on or off to be able to select an object at it's center? Thx.

Hmmm. ID doesn't put the old center dot in a frame anymore, at least not most of the time, but the center should still be snapping, regardless of where you grab the frame. I'm not seeing any necessity to grab the edge (though if you have the content grabber turned on it's not difficult to accidentally move the content instead of the frame). What are you seeing?

How can you select the "from" in Mail with multiple accounts?

Is there a simple dropdown to select the "From" field in Mail when using multiple accounts?
All I can find is a support page saying From is defined by the email account that is highlighted and active.

When you hover your mouse over your name in the from field it presents a little arrow. Click it and it lets you select who you are sending an email as.
Also if your reading an email that you got say to your @iCloud.com email when you hit compose it will automatically select your @iCloud.com email to compose your email.

I've seen a few ways of removing it. Something about a chrome folder and ccs or something. Sorry but I don't understand any of it. I thought Firefox was supposed to be super easy to customize.

How do you manage to sync your music with your iPhone/iPod?

Hello everyone!
I want to ask you how you manage to keep your music library synced with your iPhone/iPod.
For years I managed to copy music onto the iOS device manually as my iTunes library was way to large to fit my iOS device.
Some months ago I created a playlist called "iPhone music". Then I created smart playlists which amongst others followed the rule "Playlist is iPhone music". That works so far and makes sure I do not try syncing more music than I have space on my iPhone (I always have an eye on the "iPhone music" playlist).
But maybe anyone of you uses a better and smarter way? Thanks for any ideas and suggestions!

Creat a list with your top rated trance music, or put a keyword in certain songs and make smart playlists using keywords or simply limit the size of the smart playlist.
You can make =these playlist in just about any manner you wish. They are very flexible.

You don't select it as an option when using the macbook, it just happens when the system needs more speed. Also if you think you're macbook pro is "overheating" while you're using it, it really isn't because it would come up with a heat warning if it was overheating. Your mac will tell you when its running out of spec so when it gets dangerously hot, you will know.
