The next question will be what weather and stock apps will display data in Notifications similar to an iPhone. Sure there are lots of apps available but nothing I found will duplicate the features found on the iPhone.

Hi .... I'm new at WorkFlow (and SAP for that matter) and have inherited a WF that is already built. In several of the steps I can see "Objects and Attachments" on the work item screen where a User can click to be directed to a transaction. For example, on one screen the User can click on "Incoming Invoice: 5105601690" to be directed to the Invoice Display Screen that is populated with information for that particular invoice (5105601690).
I am looking at the WF using TCode SWDD and cannot figure our how the original developer set this up. So my question is ..... for a particular WF step, how do you set up the "Objects and Attachments: area so that the User will be directed to a particular transaction when he/she clicks on it.

I am looking at the screen you have directed me to. Business object is BUS2081 (actually it is ZMMWBS2081 which is a customized version BUS2081) Method is "Display" and Attribute is "InvoiceDocNumber". How do I know by looking at this that "Display" means Display Invoice? What if I wanted to display the PO instead?

You cannot use USB. It has to be a network capable printer.. is it?? You did not indicate how it is connected.. but by wireless or ethernet then scanning is possible otherwise not.

You can blur it out with retouch
The built-in "Retouch" brush in "Edit" mode should suffice, if the background is mostly uniform, and if you set the size of the brush to slightly wider than the bar width of the letters. For example, in this picture I removed the year from the date (in the lower right corner) by using the "retouch" brush and following the contours of the letters. (the screen shot is from iPhoto '11, but iPhoto 9 should give similar results).

How do you set up the passkey between the Mac & Palm?

Hi all,
I need help with a couple of things relating to bluetooth and Mac;
a) when I try to HotSync the Palm TX and iBook(OS 10.3.9) using BT, I get an error message saying "can't initiate Hotsync because port is in use by another application'.
b) how do you set up the passkey between the Mac & Palm? I can't work out how to input anything on the Palm at the step where it asks for the passkey.

Palm has this to say about the issue:
'Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application.'
This error can occur on the Palm™ Zire™ 72 handheld after setting up a Bluetooth® HotSync® connection. When you configure the Bluetooth application on the handheld for synchronization (or when you set up a Bluetooth connection in the Connections preference screen), the HotSync button in the Writing Area may try to launch a Bluetooth connection, regardless of the connection selected in the HotSync application on your handheld. The HotSync icon in the Writing Area will always try to connect using whatever method was last used. When you set up Bluetooth HotSync, it used Bluetooth, and now tapping the icon in the Writing Area will result in a Bluetooth connection.
The issue arises if you launch the HotSync application on your handheld, and select the "Cradle/Cable" option from the pulldown menu, and then tap on the HotSync icon in the Writing Area. Your handheld will still try to perform a Bluetooth HotSync operation, because that was the method last used. You will see an error message, and won't be able to synchronize.
Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application.
Why does this happen?
Because your handheld was set up for Bluetooth, tapping the HotSync icon in the Writing Area should launch a Bluetooth HotSync. But if you select a different method in the HotSync application, your handheld will try to connect using that method as well. The HotSync application is unsure which method to use, and you will see the error message.
What should I do?
If you see this error, here's how to correct the issue:
1. Launch the HotSync application on your handheld.
2. In the pulldown menu at the center of the screen, choose the connection method by which you wish to synchronize.
3. Then, instead of tapping the HotSync icon in the Writing Area, tap the large onscreen HotSync icon in the middle of the HotSync application screen.
4. Do this every time you wish to synchronize using Cable/Cradle.
5. Whenever you want to synchronize using Bluetooth, exit the HotSync application and tap the HotSync icon in the Writing Area.
6. This will allow you to keep multiple connection methods for synchronization, and the flexibility of alternating between them.

I would highly suggest searching the community before posting in this case since this discussion is currently going on in a lot of threads. Long answer short - wait for your apps to be updated by the developers and then you can link them - as of right now, only Fandago and Walgreens have update.

I am in need of a weather and stock widget, similiar to the ones on the iphone 4s, that allow you to display current stocks and weather in the notification window but i need it for the ipad2.

the iphone 4s came with a weather and a stock widget. these could be configured in notifications to CONSTANTLY display stock prices and the days weather whenever you pulled down the notification window. the ipad2 doesn't have these programs and i have spend a small fortune and time looking for this same feature. does anyone out there know off a weather and stock program that will let you program stocks into the notification window and then stream the stocks and prices acrossthe screen continously when you open the notification window. Also does anyone know of a weather program that will display the days current conditions ALL THE TIME, not just when the wind picks up or it snows.
the ipad2 doesn't have these built in programs and i can't find similiar ones in the app store.

How do you completely disable the installation and use of add-ons for firefox 4? Is there a config setting/file that can be changed to completely disable add-ons?

I want to completley disable the installation and/or use of add-ons in Firefox 4. I don't want anybody that logs onto either of my computers to be able to use add-ons and I can't find a way to disable it in the configuration files. I've found ways to lock down other options like updates etc. but I cannot find a way to completely disable add-ons.

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. You need the password for your network/router. Sometime the dfault password is on a sticker on the router. As the person who controls/set up the router.

How do you set up the paypal standard gateway to work without a web form?

I must have missed a step. I have this site set up and the paypal standard gateway does not work with a web form, but works with shopping cart. For those who are running Windows and controlling the Airport Base Station with Airport for Windows. Apple just came out with a firmware update for Airport Extreme (7.7.2). It so happens that this Firmware version requires Airport Software version 6.3 or newer. The Windows version only goes as high as Version 5.6 or so. I was also told that Apple is unlikely to upgrade this software. To make a long story short you need to control (Configure) your Airport Base Station with an iMac, or an iPhone or iPad with the Airport app. This solved my problems. Good Luck :)

There is no app to manage you social network stuff, but systemwide in OSX finder,preview etc you will find the new "share" button. For example you share a picture within finder or iphoto to "twitter", then the field will pop up that lets you enter text and shows a miniature of your picture attached to the note.
as you click on the button, you hear a tweet sound that tells you that it is now on twitter.
So to make it clear : If you want to keep track of your twitter interactions you still need a app like the official twitter client or "tweetdeck" for example.
Once the FB integration follows, expect the same features, but also the same limitations : to interact with others you would still use safari on facebook.com .

How do you set/change the default alarm TYPE in iCal?

I like to think I'm a power user, but this one I just can't figure out. The question/problem is: How do you sent the default alarm TYPE in iCal? The problem is illustrated in the picture below in the blue circled area.
Specifically, whenever I set a new event in iCal, it defaults to this window with the default alert being "Default (1 hour before)." The one hour before is fine, but the problem is, WHAT is the default? It seems to be just a sound, but that's not good enough to actually alert me of anything.
The goal I'm trying to achieve with this post is to determine how to CHANGE the "default" new event alert FROM "Default (1 hour before)" TO one of two alerts that I actually find useful: I want MY "default" new event alert to be either "email" to the primary address, OR, "Message with Sound".

Understand. I am in the edit mode for my contact. I see all the contact info. There is no right click or other means to change the DEFAULT address that autofill uses (it also is first to appear if I type my name in an e-mail). For instance for a group e-mail you can change the default addresses of each contact by control-clicking on the group in Address Book. I can't seem to make the default change in my v-card.

You can't, a TimeMachine can only restore, not bootable although I hear it's possible to boot to restore only.

You don't. The softwre and technology is not compatbile.
If you want a clone be able to boot from it, and see everything on the drive like any other, then you need to use a new blank drive and Carbon Copy Cloner, then it's a option key bootable clone drive.
TM or TimeCapsule can't do this, it's a backup system, not a clone.

I don't use TM at all, it's for newbies mostly. It takes a long time to restore with as it has to go through all the states to grab files.
Power and seasoned users use clones so they also can boot from them, make more clones or run the computer if the drive dies etc.etc.
