Can any one you provide some information on below questions.
Check printing by XML template (XML Publisher).
    1. When printing checks, how do you print the checks from one printer tray and the overflow remittance pages from another printer tray?
    2. When printing a large batch of checks using XML and PDF output, how do you split the print job across multiple printers to shorten the print time?
I appreciate if you could give some information on above 2 questions.

  • I have multiple users on one account and now want to split the account.  How do you split and account?

My family and I have used the same account for many years.  We are now looking to create individual accounts and separating the music and other items appropriately.  How do you split an account?

It's not currently possible to split an account, all content will remain tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded it. You can try leaving feedback for Apple, and maybe at some point it will be possible : http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • How would you split a 10 GB root partition? Would you?

The system seems to be booting a little slow lately (been using Arch for more than a year now) and I was thinking of splitting the root partition to improve performance.
Right now the entire OS is on a single partition. I don't have a /home partition but I can see it's usefulness:
    - files on /home are, in general, more frequently written (browser cache especially), which means less fragmentation for the root partition
    - having a noexec flag for /home so no potentially dangerous software will run from there (and why would you need to run software from /home?)
    - my /var folder takes up 102 MB, 9.706 files in 4.846 folders. Is there a filesystem that will deal well with many small files ? ReiserFS maybe ?
So how would you split (gigabyte-wise) a 10 GB partition into /, /home and /var ? And would you ? I've been told from the IRC channel that it makes zero sense. At least not for desktop use.
PS: I'm also switching from i686 to x86_64, so please take that into account as well. For instance I noticed that 64 bit software usually takes up more space than 32 bit.

    hi BoJ,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If you're referring to having an extended display , you will need to have an external monitor and enable extended mode by pressing the Winkey+P and select Extend.
If you want to split the screen to work with 2 documents or 2 windows at a time, you can snap the windows by pressing Winkey+ Left or Right arrow - check this article in reference.
    Hope this helps

How do you split a clip to do an insert edit in iMovie 08? I have a single, long event that I'd like to do insert editing on. I'd also like to insert transitions. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
    1) Move a clip (or any portion thereof) from your Event clip to your project and place it where you need it.
    2) With the newly added clip still selected in your project, grasp and move the right and left handles to set the exact frames you wish to use as your "in" and "out" points.
    3) Select the "Spit" option to segment the selected area into what you want to keep and what you don't need.
    4) Select the segment(s) you don't want and press the "Delete" key to remove it/them from the project window.
    5) Repeat as needed to create your sequence of segments and then add titles and transitions as needed.
Note: Since your editing in iMovie '08 is non-linear, non-destructive, and "by-reference," you can source the same content multiple times to a single project or even to multiple projects and overlap your "splits" since they are "logical" rather than physical.

  • How do you split clips in the event viewer in iMovie '11?

I'm using iMovie '11 and have imported a very long movie (over an hour from VCR Tape) that I want to split into multiple events, however the "Split Clip" option is grayed out. How can I split a large event into smaller events?

I have discovered a round-about way to split large events from comments in this forum, so apologies, and or thanks to other posters.
You can split events by deleting (and discarding) a single frame at the point where you want to split the two clips. It's processor intensive (takes a while to do), but it works.
1.) In the Event Viewer, click to select where you want to split the event.
2.) Drag the yellow handles to make the selection as small as possible (1 frame?). If you drag the thumbnail display slider to the left to show only 1/2 second intervals, it helps when selecting a single frame.
3.) Right click and select "Reject Selection". The clip is now split.
4.) When you've completed all of your clip splitting, select "Show: Rejected Only" at the bottom of the Event Viewer to show all of the rejected frames.
5.) Click on "Move Rejected to Trash". This operation could take a while.
    That should be it.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do you split a shot in Color?

Before anyone says, don't - here's the workflow:
FCPX to Motion for noise reduction (Neat is not ready for FCPX yet) and output as 444 ProRes clips, numbered sequentially in a folder.
Some shots were grouped in the noise reduction process.
I want to split these shots in Color.
I find a Split tool, and many others, but they don't appear to exist.
    [Time passes]
    AHA!! I figured it out.
You don't want to SPLIT a shot, you want to "Create an Edit"
    Timeline > Create an Edit
    Keystroke: Control+v

Is there a way that I can split a shoot in two that has been sent from FCP?
In the timeline you are presently working in... no... you are correct-- the split tool will corrupt the XML roundtrip.
The 'long way' around the problem would be to back out of this project, re-cut the FCP timeline and try a Reconform (if you are using COLOR 1.5 or later).
Barring that, if you need to keep this colorproj, keyframes are the only option. You seem to be aware that you cannot paste whole grades onto a keyframe, so if you have multiple rooms involved in the grade, then the 'brute force copy' is accomplished by creating keyframes in every room that you need to change, save the individual room corrections from the source grade into the room bin, and copy those corrections into the appropriate keyframe in the new scene. Not much fun, I'm afraid.

  • How do you split?

In iPhoto '09 I could easily split photos from one event into two events. I can't figure out how to split events in iPhoto '11 though.

It is a menu item now - select the photo and go to the event menu ==> split event
If you type "Split event" into help it will show the menu item to you

  • How do you split video clips?

I want to split video clips so that they can begin when I want them to and end when I want as well. I'm new to the software and I don't really know how to do some things.

There's a lot of good info in your manuals. Always a good place to start. I'd also reccomend Tom Wolsky's (he's a regular contributor here) books.
Having said that, basically, take your clip and put it in the Viewer. In the Viewer, shuttle around till you find the piece you want .. set an In point where the shot should begin, set an End point where you want it to end. Now grab that shot in the Viewer and drag it over to the right; some little submenus will pop up, choose Overwrite and that puts it into the Timeline. You can also use F10 to overwrite the short to the Timeline.

  • How do you split a vector image into several different colors

Hi, I'm trying to make an infographic for my company and wanted to use an image of christmas tree I found. I put it into Illustrator CS6 and traced it with the 16 colors option ( which i believe makes it a vector). What I want to do is change the colors of the christmas tree on each level of needles, but I can't figure out how to split up the image to change it into different colors. Sorry if this is confusing, any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Audrey

Audrey, first off, you should know this:
Working with "a vector graphic" and working with a vector graphic that is the result of Illustrator's Image Trace are very likely to be very different things.
You would be much better off if you were starting with a tree graphic that was designed and drawn as a vector graphic in the first place. The people reading your post here can only imagine what's on your screen and how the Image Trace utility might have "seen" and traced it. I'll go so far as to say you won't be able to accomplish what you describe with an Image Trace as the basis. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I do know I wouldn't dare put myself through the anguish of attempting it. Honestly, I think you'll have a better chance of pulling it off if you keep the tree as a raster image, open it in Photoshop, and recolor sections of the tree there. But again, that could be determined with considerably more certainty if I could actually see it.
As a side note, I'd like to add this: You refer to the christmas tree image as one that you "found." I read that to mean you found it on the Internet. If that's the case, and the infographic you're planning is only for an internal presentation, it's not really a big problem, but even then you should consider acquiring permission or license to reuse the image. However, no matter how you might adapt or alter the image, just about any other scenario involving your re-use of that image could lead to issues of legality. Please don't pirate images.

  • Printing Sheets? How do you split cells?

    Hello
I'm trying to print a sheet which is about 10 pages long.
The cells are filled with large amounts of text and i'm trying to figure out how to print the cells so they continue from page to page by splitting them in their print format rather than having half an empty page and starting a fresh cell on the next page?
Does this make sense and if so, can anyone help?
    Thanks

There is a simple workaround : split your huge pieces of text by yourself.
If you want, I may write a script doing that.

  • How do you split a column into two

I have a huge list of names that ended up in one column. For example it says "John Smith" in one column. How do I put John in one column and smith in another without having to do each one manually?
Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Copy all the text into TextEdit , Pages or any other texteditor.
Select all the text and set up tabs on the ruler where you want the 2 columns to appear.
Search on the space between the "John" and "Smith" and replace it with a tab.
You can now copy and paste this into a Numbers table and it will fill the appropriate columns.
And if the entry is John Broadus WATSON you will get an odd result !

  • How do you split a voiceover audio clip?

I have not found a way to take sections of a voiceover and split them up. It only allows me to trim from the beginning or from the end. I thought if I could copy the complete voiceover again, I could trim each version differently but I have not found a command to copy another version of the voiceover. Any ideas?

  • How do you split a list of dates/times into weeks?

    Hello all,
I am trying to make a time management spreadsheet that will keep track of my odd hours at my workplace. What I want to do is have one table with all of my date/times in and out, hours worked, and notes, that is then linked to a form. In a second table, I'd like to tablulate my week-by-week totals as well as monthly leave totals (sick/annual leave). What I can't work out is if you can make a table that automatically calculates a total number of hours for a week/month. So for example, if I have all my work from January through March in my first table, that the second table would be able to split that sheet into week-long sections and calculate the total number of hours worked for each week. Is such a thing possible in Numbers? Am I making sense? Thanks for the help!

    =SUMIF(Work Times::C2:C84,Work Times::A2:A84,>=A14,Work Times::A2:A84,<=B14) returns a syntax error.
I won't have and opportunity to test here, but I think you need to add double quotes and concatenate, e.g.
    >=A14
    should be
    ">="&A14
    etc.
And you need to use SUMIFS if you have more than one column-criterion pair.
