Nevermind, I fixed it (I think). I went into Settings | Accounts & Sync and found Yahoo at the bottom of the list (alphabetically). I selected it and it had an optiion to delete the account, which I did.

Thanks Lawrence. I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Now my phone won't take cloud because they advised to set up new apple ID and use that, but can't sign out of old one completely. Two suggestions. With Mail as the active application, from the menu bar select Window --> Activity. A window should open that may have multiple entries. One of them should say Sending Message with a progress bar on the right hand side and to the right of that a Stop Sign icon. Click the Stop Sign icon and the message should quit sending.
Another place to do the same thing is in the leftmost panel of your Mail window where your mailboxes are listed. At the very bottom is a Mail Activity panel. If it is not visible click the icon at the very bottom between the plus sign and the gear. If you're sending a message, a progress bar should show there with an X to the far right of the bar. Click the X to stop the message from being transmitted.

Could be a cookie issue...
Go to Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab then click Show Cookies
Type yahoo in the serach field then click Remove All > Done
Quit then relaunch Safari.
Try accessing your Yahoo mail account.
FYI... there is rarely a sure fire correct response for third party web based email client software. Often takes time consuming troubleshooting.

If its is to restrict that user to view some data,then no need to place him in a separate group.Can achieve this...
High priority is for restriction.
Lets take group-Test with two users-test1,test2.These two users are under Test group.
I applied data level security for only one user test1(restricted him to view market not equal to Central Region) but didn't apply data level security for test2.
Now i added the group to presentation catalog and gave permission to dashboard showing Market report.
When test1 logs in he can see all markets except Central Region,where as test2 logs in he can view all regions including Central Region.
Here Test group is having full access so,test2 can view all regions but test1 user is restricted for some value and its working fine.
If you want apply data level security to user to not view some data,then you can maintain that user in a group with many other users and achieve it.Above example shows it.
If its is to restrict the whole group to view dashboard and make a single user in the group to view some data in the dashboard then its not possible(priority is for restriction) in this way,in this case its better to create that a new group to that user and assign him.

Just got a new Imac. have had Apple computers for a long time. Want to start using voice input with mail. How do I get started?

Apple's voice input options are the following:
Dictation
This allows you to speak a phrase and have the system enter it as text in any text field, be it a name and address form or a text editor like Pages or Word. The settings for this service are in the Dictation system preferences, and by default you activate it by pressing the Fn key twice in a row and then speak the desired phrase after you hear the bing sounds.
Speakable Items
This option allows you to somewhat control the Mac's interface elements by speaking key phrases to the system. This option is enabled in the Accessibility system preferences, and is at the bottom of the listed services. In here you can turn on the service and calibrate it to properly hear your voice, set a "listening key" (similar to the Fn key for Dictation), and then enable various command libraries.

How do you stop Lightroom from automatically making adjustemnts when you are looking at the images?

There is some kind of auto adjustment happening when I look at my images for the first time.
Any knowledge of this, I've looked in help and can't find anything.
Anyone know how to make it stop?
Usually it looks pretty good, but it would be nice to simply revert if you don't like what it did.

Jayme, what you see first is the camera produced jpg (thumbnail) which is done by the camera at the time the shot is taken even if you have set the camera to save as raw. This thumbnail jpg, which is part of the raw file, is required for you to view the image on the camera lcd screen. If it were not produced you would not be able see the image either in the camera or on your computer. Raw files are not in a viewable format until they are processed by a raw converter.
When you import the raw files into the LR library LR will first display the camera produced thumbnail as a preview until it has been able to convert the raw data. This is done at the LR default settings. Since the LR conversion engine is different from the camera firmware it is not able to produce an exact jpg image. LR does not have the info/ technology used by the camera and uses its own proprietary procedures to produce its own conversion.
All the camera manufacturers have their own proprietary technology for processing the raw data which is not publicly shared for competitive reasons.
Tools are provided in LR to allow you to make your own adjustments to the raw data and create an image to your liking. Hopefully even better than what your camera is able to produce. You now have your own "darkroom" to produce your images.
There are lots of tutorials available to bring your skils up to mark. Have fun. There is a thread in the FAQ which deals with this issue. Every raw converter has its own taste which you can adjust.

How do you stop Safari from removing last download when it's of the same file type? (e.g., when I download a new pps file I can no longer open a pps file that I've just downloaded)

When I download a .pps file, I can open it from the downloads and everything is great. But if I try to download another one, then I can no longer access the previous download from the download bar. This is very annoying to me as I download and open dozens of these files every day. Is there some way that I can display all the files in the download bar and not just the last file downloaded of a certain type (a way to get Safari to stop hiding the .pps files)

I suggest bookmarking this for easier future access.

How do you stop all devices from going off when one is being called?

After most recent update for apple, all my devices are going off at the same time when only one is where the call is gong to. I have 2 iPhones, 3 iPads and an iPad mini and one newer iPod. Is there a way to stop this? It is kind of a pain.
