How do you superimpose someone into another photo quickly?

In the video of Photoshop Element 11, the man draws a green swiggly over his daughter on the beach and adds her into another photo a couple of times, so he ends up with her on the beach 3 times next to each other. I really want to know how to do that in a quicker way than with the lasso tool.

  • How do you put text into a photo book?

    I am new to Photoshop Elements, using Elements 11, and my first project is to make a photo book for a recent trip.  I have figured out importing the pictures and titles.  I want to include a 3000 word story on 3 or 4 pages.  I have spent hours trying to do this.  I thought I would be able to easily copy and paste from Word but that isn't working for me.  I have retyping the whole thing in "Your Text Here".  I can't seem to make it work.  Pane sizing is an issue.  Editing after I have typed several paragraphs.  I am about to give up.  I can't locate any tutorials etc on how to do this.  I bought Elements 11 for Dummys and they might as well have skipped photo books.  It was useless.  Can someone give me some guidance please?

    Try creating a new page template in expert mode.
    File >> New >> Blank File
    Select your page size height and width and background color and use 300 ppi for printing.
    Then select the T tool, click top left, and copy and paste your text.
    Save as jpeg and add it to your book as an image and use the bounding box to scale/re-size.
    Note you may have to click inside the text area and add the carriage return as it’s not easy to justify text in elements.
    I would suggest you first save as PSD that will preserve the text layer as a separate layer. You can then re-open the PSD file at any time e.g. if you decide to edit any of the text. Treat it as your master file and use it to save a fresh jpeg whenever needed.

  • How do you Combine Pictures into one Photo

    I'm really re.tarded when it comes to this stuff.
    I want to take 4 pictures and combine them, making like a montage and I have no clue how to do that.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Did your computer happen to have come with OmniGraffle? It is an amazing application and can create a collage very easily like this one I made out of 96 photos.
    If it didn't come with your computer it's demo mode it will let you work with up to 10 items on a page.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
    Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How can I move part of one photo into another photo?

    In older versions of Photoshop you could see two or more frames in the work area and cut an paste parts of one photo into another photo by using the "move" tool after the area to be moved was selected. I am having trouble discerning how to achieve this action in CC. Could someone in the forum with this experience give me some steps to take to complete this process? Thanks.

  • How do you sync music into your library from another file

    how do you sync music into your library from another file?  After moving all my music into a new location, is there a quicker way to upload the music into the library rather than adding file by file?

    Hi MonicaJani,
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You can also add folders of media as described here:
    Adding music and other content to iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1473
    Adding content on your computer to iTunes
    iTunes helps you add digital audio and video files on your computer directly to your iTunes library. You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats. You can also add video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format to iTunes. To learn how to add these files to iTunes follow the steps below.
    Open iTunes
    From the File menu, choose one of the following choices:
    MacAdd to Library
    Windows
    Add File to Library
    Add Folder to Library
    Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add
    If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library," iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. To adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes Preferences.
    Cheers,
    - Ari

  • Need help placing people / objects into another photo ...realistically

    Hi, I've been a Photoshop user for many years now and have adopted CS4 when it initially came available. My photoshop skills are to a good standard however one thing I always find difficult is taking a selection from one photo (usually a person / object) and placing it into another photo.
    I am able to correct the size and scale and maintain the aspect ratio but I never seem to be able to make the photo look convincing, I know this is a basic part of Photoshop, but I was wondering if any of you could offer some tips or advice on how to make the person / object more realistic and hopefully so that clients won't be able to spot it was missing in the first place.
    Thanks in advance

    The Daily show is a satirical show in the US with John Stewart. As a kind of running joke on "Photoshopped", they often badly photoshop things together, cut and paste style.
    Whether things will ever look correct, is to do with LIGHT. The light on your background has to be the same as the light on your foreground subjects. Color can be easily tweaked and matched but light cannot. Photographers with the right expertise (thinner on the ground than you might think) can look at the light in a destination image, and try and match in the studio, but this is a highly skilled area. I once had a professional job where someone had taken David Beckham to a studio - and they wanted the images realistically comped into beach scenes, with broad sunshine, resulting hard shadows, sunsets and horizons. Unfortunately the photographer was obviously more interested in having fun with a high profile client like Beckham for their book, than they were in lighting correcty for the intended destination images.  Impossible without weeks of painting, and I told them. No point in wasting clients time on images like this.

  • I have had a new ram module fitted and now i have no photos in I photo but they are there on the hard drive how do I get them into i photo as they were.

    changing the ram has nothing to do with the photos missing.  Did you install the ram or someone else?

  • How to move a selection into another selection in elements 12

    how to move a selection into another selection in elements 12

    Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from to add to another picture.
    Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
    Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
    Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
    Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
    In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer

  • How do you copy a picture in photos?

    How do you copy a picture in photos? When I right click on them it doesn't give you the option to copy and when I click edit, copy, it does nothing.

    I've copied pictures from iPhoto before and its worked perfectly fine. Just can't seem to find a way to do so on Photos.
    I my Photos version it works to select a photo and then use the "Edit" menu.
    Edit > Copy ⌘C  or pressing the key combination ⌘C
    There is no visible confirmation, but the photo will be in the Clipboard.
    I cannot test this with Word.  But I can insert the copied photo from the clipboard into Pages or Keynote documents by using ⌘V

  • How to include one view into another view

    Hi SDN's,
                   Could any please tell me,How to include one view into another view.
    In my requirment.I want to create a 'Z' view for an interface .In that  view i have to take,
    1) Ship-to-email adrr by
                              LIKP-KUNNR -> KNA1-ADRNR
                              KNA1-ADRNR -> ADR6-ADDRESNUMBER.
    2) E-mail addr of person who created the document.i.e
        LIKP-ERNAM -> USR21-BNAME.
        USR21-ADDRESNUMBER ->  ADR6-ADDRESNUMBER
        USR21-PERSNUMBER -> ADR6-PERSNUMBER.
       In both the case we have to pass ADDRESSNUMBER to ADR6 table.
    If we pass these condition it fails,B'Coz at a time it passes Two ADDRESSNUMBER and a PERSNUMBER.
    So i created two which fetches only the email addr of  person who created the document.and another view fetches Ship-to-email addr.
    Now i want to include the second view into first view . Is it possible?or please
    tell me someother way to get these email addresses in a single view.

    hi
    as per my knowledge, nested views are not possible. However, while creating a new view, selection method will not giv u option to select the already created view(S) except the tables..i think so.
