I live in Canada and I wanted to get an app you can only get in the USA, so I switched to the American apple store and tried to buy it.. Then it said I have to switch to the Canadian apple store to get it but when I do I can't get the app!! How can I get the app??

You can only purchase items from the country's store in which you are located and your account, including the payment method has to be associated with that country. Apple checks the public IP address used by the iPod/computer to determine the country in which you are located.

Stuck in the Canadian Apple store!

Can someone please tell me how to rectify this problem? I'm stuck in the Canadian Apple store, and I need to move to the US, the system keeps telling me I have seasons passes that I have not expired yet, but they are old shows at this point. Apparently, you have to wait 30 days after the pass has expired. I just want out of the store, any suggestions?

5. Tap Country/Region;

How to purchase "Movies" through the Canadian iTune store?

Could some one please tell me how to purchase a "movie" through the Canadian iTunes store?
The "Movies" icon only available in the United States iTune store. I tried to set up an account through this US store but was unable due to "no option" for Canadian address.
Back to Canadian iTune store page, but there are no "movies" available for purchase and download.

At present movies are only available in the US iTunes store. There are a variety of reasons for this including copyright and licensing issues in different countries.
You cannot purchase anything from an iTunes store outside of the country in which you live as mentioned in the Terms of Sale.
"You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside of the available territory, and that iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance."
The Terms of Use for the iTMS state that you agree that you won't attempt to make purchases from outside the store's country. The chance is small that Apple will cut off your account, but just be aware that it is possible. They certainly won't support your use of the US iTMS from Canada if you do have any problems.

Why isn't the Murfie app available on the Canadian Apple store site yet?re

I recently became a member of Murfie which enables me to store my CDs digitally on their site and stream them from anywhere I happen to be, I can also buy used CDs from other members .
They have a digital app so you can stream your music from their site.
Their app is available in the U.S. store but not the Canadian store.
Just wondering why that would be so.

OK, then perhaps your web/marketing folks should alter this statement on your web site:
Unlimited trading with other Murfie members
to say "Unlimited trading of your physical CDs with other members" to make it more clear what services you actually offer. Being right after the "lossless download formats" statement rather implies that you are allowing trading of the digital copies as well as the physical CDs.

If you're locked in Portrait Orientation, from any screen other than the lock screen, double-tap "Home." Your list of recently accessed apps will come up at the bottom--scroll left (swipe left to right) one screen's worth and it'll give you the Music controls and the orientation lock option, which is all the way on the left. Tap that to either lock or unlock Portrait Orientation. Unlocked, it'll allow most apps to rotate to landscape when you tip your phone. There's no option to lock in Landscape, unfortunately.

I've been getting into downloading and watching shows (granted only way to watch at the moment is via my iPhone and AV cables, but that's another annoyance about iTunes Store - No Linux version)
Out of the shows that my family is watching iTunes Canada only has about 1%. I see the US and UK stores have a lot more of what we want, about 10%, but I'm unable to download/purchase from there because of my home address. I already, one a week, add show requests to the iTunes Requests link. But I want to do more to get my favourite shows into iTunes Store (Canada).
Anyone have any ideas, other than pounding the "Feedback" forms with requests? Is there a way to talk or advertise and bring the requests to the studios? Do the studios have to request to iTunes or is it the other way around? or Both?

Pounding the Apple feedback forms will do no good. The content and relative lack thereof is totally under the control of the various entities that own the rights to distribution of said content in Canada, i.e the record labels, movie studios, etc. It's them you need to be pounding with feedback. Apple would like nothing better than to be able to provide all the content there is, but it's completely up to the owners of the content.
