If I buy an app for my iPhone why doesn't it show up on my iPad

There are some apps that are not compatible. Some are device specific. the ones that are universal are ones with a little plus beside the download button.
If it is a universal app that won't automatically cross go into your settings. Scroll down to iTunes an App Store and there's a setting for automatic downloads. Enable that for apps and compatible apps should download on the devices.

Go to the Apple menu >> system preferences >> icloud. Make sure you're logged in with the same apple ID as you are on the other two devices. If you're already signed in, you can click on Account details to verify that.
Then, make sure you have safari checked off in the icloud preferences. If you already do, uncheck them for a minute or so. Then recheck them.

Ical sync issue between Iphone and Ipad

I seem to be having issues syncing events between my Iphone to my Ipad. icloud is enabled on both and it appears that all the calendars are enabled for syncing. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I'm having this issue as well. I have tried the add new account as was mentioned in other posts (going through the Advanced settings and changing the server location), but it appears that I would be duplicating accounts, and "that is not supported". I also am having issues with alerts not going to me, but to my husband (who has a google.com email). When I check the Address Book to see what the main contact card is, it shows my information, yet I am not receiving alerts and my email is not an option to select. When I changed my Apple Id, he received the confirmation email (as did I). What do I need to do to: 1) get alerts to come to me and not my husband and 2) sync my iCal with macbook, iPhone, and iPad? Cannot sync bookmarks between iPhone and iPad

I have the latest iOS running on both the iPhone and iPad. I have the latest version of iBooks on both. I am running the latest version of iTunes on the latest version of Lion on my Mac and am logged into my iCloud account on all devices, with servcies enabled throughout all devices. In iBooks, I have enabled sync bookmarks on all devices. And just in case someone asks, yes they all have access to a wifi network.
However, my bookmarks are not in sync at all. In fact no device duplicates the same bookmarks.
So what is going on here?
I just saw an Apple ad with the tag line "it just works" ... Nothing could be farther from the truth. In the absence of any instructions, I feel like I have reached the edge of intuitiveness here ...

Seriously, why don't my Bookmarks synchronize between my devices?
Is this an iCloud problem or is it an iBooks problem?
Obviously selecting sync bookmarks in the settings for each device is not enough ...

Sync Apps between iPhone and ITunes before install of IOS6?

I use an IPhone 4. I always purchase my apps directly from the IPhone, and never from my computer.
The consequence is that there is no sync whatsoever between the actual screens/folders/apps on the IPhone and what is displayed on ITunes, in the TAB "apps".
Last year, when I installed IOS 5, I killed all my apps on the IPhone, and it took weeks to re-install my apps and the folders.
I am not prepared to suffer this exercise again, and I am even considering to skip the install of IOS 6 to avoid this pain.
How can I mirror the content of my IPhone such that the apps and the folders content/position actually present in the phone are memorized in Itunes?

Syncing PoketLife app between iPhone and iPad.

I have the PocketLife calendar app on my iPhone 4s and want to sync it with my new iPad. I've already downloaded the app on my ipad from my appstore account. It pulled in all my templates but not my saved calendar items. I've tried all I know to do and the app's information says it should work. Can anyone help?

Yes iBooks can only be bought via the iBookstore which is only accessible via the iBooks app (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch). I don't think that if you purchase it on your iPhone that it will automatically appear on the iPad, but she should be able to (re-)download it for free (as long as she is using the same account as you purchase it with (from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4059) :
Yes, you may be able to redownload certain books from the iBookstore, free of charge. To redownload a book, tap Store, then tap Purchases. Find the book you wish to download again and tap Redownload. You must be logged in to the iTunes account from which you originally purchased the book in order to redownload a title.
You can also make a backup of the book(s) on your Mac by copying it off your iPhone (File > Transfer Purchases), just in case it ever gets removed from the iBookstore and therefore can't be re-downloaded from it.

How do I sync Notes between iPhone and Macbook, preferably using a cable?

I was running Lion before I upgraded to Mavericks. I would sync notes via iTunes using a cable.
My understanding is that you have to use WiFi and iCloud with Mavericks, which if true is a really dumb limitation and a problematic one. I do not have WiFi at home and often not when traveling. But I do have a cable and my Macbook.
Is there no way to sync Notes with a cable?

At a standstill on a solution so I retried other suggestions I have found on various threads. I have done this specific process multiple times but luckily this time it worked. What helped was - on MBP went to Settings > iCloud then unchecked Notes. Said ok to delete Notes from MBP (my most recent version is on my iPhone). Waited about 5 min then went back to Settings > iCloud checked Notes, said ok to merge and now my Notes on iPhone and MBP are the same. Will have to see what happens. I had my phone connected to MBP vis USB and used wireless during process. Hope this helps with your problem also.

When using iOS 6 and its updates, it would seem that Sample downloads from iBooks would sync automatically between my devices - iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Now that I have iOS 7(.0.4 on both) this does not happen even though the same 'switches' are enabled in the iBooks settings. Nor are PDF files on one device synced to the other. Contacts lists for the two devices will only sync if you have them set up to do so: Open the Settings App > iCloud, then turn off Contacts. This also means that the device you turn this function off for will not back up the contacts list. If that is an issue, you may need to consider creating a second AppleID for iCloud purposes only.
If you are getting automatica downloads of apps and such: Settings app > itunes&App Stores > turn off automatic downloads.
