If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
On the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Syncing your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

I'd like to simply view (not edit) my aperture library from another computer on my home network. The aperture library resides on a mac pro, and I'd like to see the images on a macbook pro to show family members. On the surface, this seems like a simple concept - as Apple TV can do this with home sharing. Further, itunes can share it's library in this manner. Is this possible?

You don't mention which OS you're using and I understand that Lion has changed some of the sharing features but what you are looking to do is doable.
Be warned that accessing an Aperture library over a network is slow and definitely not something you want to do if editing except in an emergency and you want to make triple sure that only one user is accessing the library at a time. But I regularly access libraries over wireless when I'm to lazy to walk across the house and need to check somthing out.
If you are using Snow Leopard go into System preferences->Sharing and tune on file sharing on the the Mac Pro. If you have the same user name on both systems you should have no problem accessing the library from the MBP.
If you're on Lion, you'l need to lok up how to enable file sharing. I haven't swithced so I can;r help you there.

So my current computer's usb cables don't work anymore and I need a way to transfer the songs from this computer to my sister's. I have music that wasn't purchased from the store in my library from things like cd's and other personal files that my friends and family have sent me and I would like to have them all in my library but the only thing that shows up on my sister's computer are the songs that I've purchased. Is there a way to sync my music or put it on my sister's computer somehow? Thank you!

Even if you transfer the songs via some other method when working with a new library you should also look at backing up and then restoring the device to protect the data that you have on it. Alternatively copy over the entire library into a new location on your sister's computer and switch to your library when you want to update your device. easiest way is to use the nomad explorer download available under support/downloads for your mp3 player.
then you just drag and drop from a file you have music on your PC to the mp3 player .
just in case,,, to drag and drop means to click the left mouse button over a mp3 file or individual song and while holding down the left mouse button you drag the file over to the mp3 player icon or folder, then let go of the left mouse button.

my old computer shorted out and was beyond repair
so i have a new one. but, there was about 100$ worth of music on the old one

3 Although your old PC may be fried, it is possible that the disk drive still works. If the drive is OK you can purchase a Drive Enclosure and use the old drive as an external HD on your new PC. If that works your should simply be able to copy your msuic files across.

              1. Upgraded OS WindowsXP to Windows8
              2. Do not have installation media Disc for PSE10 as you purchsed as download.
              1. Please note: PSE10 is not compatible with Windows8, it's not tested on this OS, however you can try working on this, in case if you face any issue it will be extremely hard to get it resolved,
