How do you transfer old iPhone 3GS apps/contacts/etc. to a new iPhone 4?

Ok I want to get a new iPhone 4, but when I do I don't want to lose my Apps/Contacts/Photos/etc. So how do transfer all that stuff from one phone to another WITHOUT USING ITUNES? Nothing is on my iTunes, so how do I transfer everything just using one phone to another?

Everything should be on your itunes and included in your regular backup of your computer.
Everything on your iphone should also be on your computer. If your iphone crashes, then everything is gone if you fail to do this.
You cannot transfer from iphone to iphone, you must use itunes.

• How do you transfer my itunes ,music, apps, from old PC to a new PC

How do you transfer my old itunes account music, apps from old PC to a new Pc?

These are two possible approaches that should work to move the existing library to the new laptop.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your library or a backup of it then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

• How do you remove old phone number for contact

How can I remove a contacts old phone number? I've edited with new number but when I go to text all previous numbers for that contact still show. Can't figure out how to make old numbers go away. Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately, at the present time the only way to delete these autocomplete suggestions is to restore your phone as new, without using your backup, and start over.

How do I transfer my entire itunes library (music, movies, books, apps, contacts, podcast and everything) to another pc? I also need to transfer the backup files for my iPhone4 and iPad2. I want to decommissioned my old pc and use my new pc for all future sync to all my iDevices.

copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from the old to the exact same location on the new machine.
you can use your LAN or an external HD for that.
as for your backups, you will find the location in this support article:

• How do you transfer an iPhone to a new computer?

I have a working older Windows computer and am able to create a backup for my iPhone. I now have a MacBook and am wanting to transfer all music, apps, and most importantly the data with all my notes over to my MacBook. How am I able to do this?

You need to back up and transfer purchases as shown below:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
iTunes Store: Transfer purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
If some of the music is not purchased from the iTunes Store you will need to transfer those another way. The article below may help:

• How do you transfer an iPhone 4s to a new iTunes account?

I have bought a new iPhone 5 and have given my iPhone 4s to my step son. He has been unable to get his iTunes account to recognize the 4. We have spent 4 hours on the phone with apple support uninstalling and installing iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support to no avail. It occurs to me that we may have missed a step when we cleared the 4s of all data and settings.

Your data is trandferred from the computer to the phone, not the other way round. You need to copy all the appropriate files and your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer, then sync. (If you no longer have the old computer, you will of course have backups available)

• How do you transfer a single playlist from one mac to a new macbook?

I've just bought a new Mac Pro and would like to transfer a single playlist of mine from an iMac iTunes library to my own iTunes library without any of the other music in the library that is not on my playlist... any help?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload. Sign in and authorize the computer to your account before syncing.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

• HT1977 How do I transfer my purchased iTunes apps and media to a new computer?

I bought a new computer, and I wanted to download iTunes and start using it to manage my library. Do I have to transfer all purchased apps to the new computer, or will iTunes do that automatically for me when I sign into my account on the new computer?

• My old PC is about to die. How do I transfer all my data, apps etc to a new PC

I have been backing up my iPhone and also iPad2 on an old Windows PC which is soon to die - it seems. I would like to transfer all data, apps, contact, etc to my new Mac but cannot sync via iTunes as all existing apps will be deleted. There must be a way to transfer from one PC to another and then sync with eth new one, but how please??

The SyncToy tip will help to get your current library archived to an external drive so that you can migrate it from the PC to the Mac. However you should not in general attempt to merge two different library folders with this tool. Where two files have the same relative path within the two synced folders the newest will overwrite the oldest. In the case of your library database files this might have unintended consequences. Instead move the existing iTunes folder on the Mac out of the way, restore the migrated library from the PC into your profile's music folder so that it becomes the default library, then import any additional content from the media folder within the previously moved library.

• Bought a new computer. How do you transfer our music

Just bought a new computer. How do you transfer our music & apps over from our old computer.

It sounds like you have a PC. You would have to consult Microsoft as to how to transfer files over in Windows from PC to PC. That's not an Apple situation.
Hope this helps
