How do you transfer songs from one ipod to another?
i got a new ipod touch and i want to put my music from my old one onto the new one. but it is not working and i do not know what to do.
Haven't you got your songs in iTunes? Just connect your new one and it will update from your Library.
However if you have deleted them from the PC, there are a number of third party utilities that can retrieve the files from your iPod.

How can you transfer data from one ipod to another ipod ?
The geniusbar told me what to do, I understood but there is still a problem for me >:/ It's not showing up though. Like "device." Nothing is happening, and I tried as soon as I got home. Then after half an hour, then an hour, then 3 hours. My problem is that it's not showing up! It's stuck in recovery mode! There's still like 25% battery. So I have no idea why.

HT1329 how do you transfer music from one ipod to another ipod
How do I move music from one ipod to another ipod?
The music that is on the one iPod must be stored in an iTunes library first before it can be synced/added to the other one. You cannot transfer content directly from one iDevice to another.

All your media should be in your iTunes library. Then you can place it on any device you wish. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

How do you transfer music from one iPod to another?
How do you transfer all of your music from one iPod to another DIRECTLY from that iPod? Not all of the music on my iPod is in my library so I'm not sure how to transfer it, if it's even possible.
Search for an app that may utilize BlueTooth to do that.

How do you transfer songs from one computer to another?
So my current computer's usb cables don't work anymore and I need a way to transfer the songs from this computer to my sister's. I have music that wasn't purchased from the store in my library from things like cd's and other personal files that my friends and family have sent me and I would like to have them all in my library but the only thing that shows up on my sister's computer are the songs that I've purchased. Is there a way to sync my music or put it on my sister's computer somehow? Thank you!
See also Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. Even if you transfer the songs via some other method when working with a new library you should also look at backing up and then restoring the device to protect the data that you have on it. Alternatively copy over the entire library into a new location on your sister's computer and switch to your library when you want to update your device. See iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one.

How do I transfer songs from one ipod to another?
I currently have a faithful ipod mini and am wanting to upgrade it but dont want to lose my songs. All of my songs are only saved on the ipod and not within my itunes library as it takes up too much space on my laptop. Please help!
You will need to move the songs back to your iTunes library. If you don't have enough room on your laptop, you should really consider investing in an external hard drive. They're cheap for the peace of mind. What would happen if you lost your mini?
To move the music, I'd check out Zevoneer's regular postings on how to move music. They give some of the most comprehensive instructions. For example, see this thread:

How do I transfer songs from one ipod video to another
I want to transfer songs from one ipod to another, but how do i do it. 2 itunes?
You can't transfer directly from one iPod to another, the songs have to be in iTunes and you update your second iPod from there. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved also it was written long before iTunes 7 so it requires a little adaptation as the iPod preferences are no longer in the location described. Also it won't transfer playlists or videos as far as I know. However if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes -
How to transfer songs from one iPOD to another one?
On my old iPOD I've collected songs for various libraries (from friends and my two computers) but stupid iTUNES won't let me transfer my songs from this iPOD back to Library.
So, now when I've got a new a iPOD, I have to put all the songs there again, because iTUNES again won't let me transfer songs from one iPOD to another iPOD, when both are connected to the same computer!!
What should I do?
Apple as an innovator company should come up with an update to solve this easy issue.

How do I transfer playlists from one ipod to another?
It needs to go through iTunes. But there is no way to transfer songs from iPod to iTunes library (except for music you purchased from iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer, add them to your iTunes library. You can then sync your iPhone to the iTunes library.
Alternately, if you sign up for the iTunes Match service, your iTunes music library on your computer will become available from iCloud. You can set your new iPhone (assuming you bought a "new" iPhone) to sync from iCloud, instead of from your computer's iTunes. All of your music will be available wirelessly, wherever you have an Internet connection. -
