My videos from my iphone are horrible when I transfer them to my PC. How can I improve the video on my PC? Can I just convert the files to WMV? When the video plays the speed is off, it's half slow-motion and staggers into normal play. The clips are slightly cut as well, the clips do not roll continuously. I'm taling about videos that are no more than 2 minutes long. Not it's only function but one for which it was most admirably suited, which is why I really hope someone can find a work around. I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. I did not miss the the text at the top of the feedback form but you presumably missed my initial text, 'someone here can explain' or my subsequent 'work around from another user'
Just in case anyone reading this has a large collection of music videos, video podcasts or iTunes U then DO NOT upgrade your iPad to iOS 5. If you are considering purchasing the iPad as a useful mobile device to experience these media organised in your iTunes please don't as you will be wasting your money. (unless someone on this forum knows of a way to undo the mess created by those infallible folks at Apple)

Short version: iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store on your iPhoneh to your computer. It treats all other music and video syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased through iTunes from your iPhone to your computer). -

Ringtones from another phone will not work on iphone.
You will have to create iphone ringtones. Google will find several ways to do this.
Contacts, calendars,photos, etc should be on your computer. From there you can sync them to iphone. -
Trying to transfer movie trailer from iphone to ipad - how do i do it?
I've been reading the forums and they say to copy the project into itunes from the imovie app - which I did on the iphone. However, when I go into itunes on my computer to transfer it to the ipad, the instructions on this forum say to click on the device (the ipad) go to apps - and then click on the app for file sharing. I can't find this specific step. Maybe this was changed when they updated itunes? I have the most recent itunes so how do I do this step?
Also, if I transfer the trailer - does all the associated video I took transfer with it? Or will I have yellow triangles every where?

I took tons of video on my recent vacation and made 4 trailers - upon getting home, one was deleted, not by me, app crashed and then I opened and it wasn't there!!! I did a soft and hard reset to no avail. Really want to get this off my 16 gb phone and to my 64 gb ipad2 so I can finish it up and submit.
I have about 5 gb of video that I can't delete yet till this is resolved, so need to fix this ASAP so i can delete the associated video and clear space.
Help! Thanks!A couple of alternatives are to upload it to a Dropbox account. You can then place the file in a "Public" folder and send a link to whoever you want to share with including yourself and then download it to your iPad. You can also download a free app called "Instashare" from the App Store. Both devices will need this app. The app will let you share large files via a WiFi connection but you must both be in close proximity. It's very similar to the new feature "Airplay" coming in iOS 7. Hope this will help

I have Vista (don't laugh) and my videos are transferred over when I plug in my phone. They don't open up in Winodws Picture Viewer though.
They are under my Photos, under the date created by the sync. Do a search I'm sure you'll find them. -

Well, you sink everything on your 3GS onto your laptop/computer. Then you reset your iPhone 4. When you are restarting it, add all those apps music (ect) On to it. It seems difucult but for more info call Apple. I did that and he lead me step by step on how to do it. Well hope this helped~~

To ensure my old iPhon4 was backed up i...
1. Deleted the iPhone4 backup from iTunes prefs(devices)
2. I then sycnched the iPhone4 to get a new backup of the old Phone.
I then installed my new iPhone5 from the fresh backup of the old iPhone4
This way i got my new iPhone5 exactly as my old iPhone4
Screens all looked the same, EVERYTHING the same.
Some minor adjustments were needed afterwards.

Try using one ot the several WiFi transfer apps in the App Store. I do that all the time, back/forth between iPhone and iPad Mini. Works with videos, too.

How to fix this!Check to see if the phone has enough free space on it. Go to Settings->About on you iPhone and see how much free space there is. It's likely that your phone is out of free space. You could also try using a free peice of software called Pic Share It, to drag and drop the video directly to your iPhone wirelessly. Here's a video showing how it works.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Archive the contacts you have in Address book, then delete them, they will be removed from iCloud as well. Restore the archive

Connect the iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable and launch iPhoto. In iPhoto you can select which files to upload into the library. Once in the library export them out of iPhoto to a folder on the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export with Kind=Original. That will give you copies of the videos in the folder for use outside of iPhoto.
If you want to bypass importing into iPhoto try launching Image Capture and manually upload the selected video files to the folder of your choice.

I already synced my iPhone from the computer that had all my apps from my iPod, how do i transfer the data over, the other apps did. But some reason the app Clash Of Clans did not. Thank you.
If I wiped my phone I wouldn't have the contacts on my phone to send to my self. I would need to take just the contacts from my back up. I would have to do this through iTunes and I don't see how I can just extract the contacts only from my back up. From what I can figure out it is all or nothing
