How do you turn off the 2-sided printing feature on hp 8500 printer?
I want to print one sided only. When I have four originals I want four one sided copies. I keep getting two , two sided
joaneschroeder, you are going to have to disable the duplexing option on the printer or deselect the option each time from the program you are printing from.
To turn the feature off on the printer (and it can be turned on in the same way), go to your Printers folder on your computer. This is usually found in your Control Panel.
Right click on the printer, and select "Printer Preferences." In the window that pops up hit the "Advanced" button. Here there should be an option to toggle duplexing either on or off for the printer.
For each specific print job, usually there is a way to deselect duplexing either on the main print option screen/window or though the "Preferences" option in the same fashion as above.

Seems like a strange way of doing it, however it still does not work as intended, the behavior i am seeing is this.

3. Then

screen.”. no problem hot keys enabled problem mouse snaps windows as setting is now unchecked that was checked in #2
In addition to this behavior if “Prevent windows
from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the
screen.” is checked it only applies to the current session as davehc1 noted. The only way i have found to keep the setting from reverting back to on is to alter the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowArrangementActive -

I am using either of the path selection tools to select only some of the paths on the layer. I have the proper layer targeted. I have the selection too auto select option turned off.
If another layer has a path in that area, that layer becomes auto targeted and I get the wrong path. Turning off the layer is the only way to avoid this but then I have to turn on the layer back on between making my selection and transforming to use the other layer as guide. Is there any way to stop this auto select? Locking the other layer does not stop the auto select, just prevents editing.As far as i know the move tool options don't have any effect on the path selection tools.
You might try clicking on one of the path points or on the path itself with one of path selection tools and if you want to select multiple points
you can shift click with the Direct Selection Tool or Alt click to select the entire path.

Usually, when you put it to sleep mode, the status light will turn off. To put it into sleep mode, go to Settings.
If you want it completely off, then I guess the only way to do it is to pull the electric plug. -

Another thought: is your computer part of a Windows domain or other network? Is there a policy on the network to require a screen saver password? (For example on my office's Windows network, a screen saver password requirement is set in the Group Policy. I'm assuming that something similar can be done with an OSX server, if you haven't joined the Mac to a Windows Active Directory network.) -
