How do you un-sync public holidays in icalender

I sync my icalander to public holidays but despite my time zone in settings as Auckland NZ I get the Canadian public holidays all through my icalendar.
Can anyone help me undo this?

Not sure if you got rid of it but I found this way.
I was also plagued by this holiday sampler. Not sure why I downloaded it, probably because it was free.
Open iTunes, scroll down to the bottom and find "Purchased" under the features tab.
Scroll through the albums until you find "iTunes Holiday Sampler", hover over it and click the little "x" that appears, then click "hide" when the dialogue box appears. Then sync your iPhone/pad/pod, anything else that had the sampler on it.

Hi,
If you are creating a new holiday and assigning it in the existing holiday calender which is being used in Work Schdule Rule. In such case you need to Change(regenerate) the work schedule. Otherwise, new holiday would not be taken into account.
There is no need to update the monthly average working hours.

How do you NOT sync Apple TV purchases to iTunes?

This question is on behalf of my parents who have Apple TV - which i bought for them and i have become their tech support on 24 hour call ><
Background: My parents share the same account. Dad uses the PC computer with iTunes where my mother only uses Apple TV.
She purchases TV shows, Movies, Rentals, whatever all the time and my father was asking how to turn off the syncing so iTunes doesn't get filled up with all her purchases.
Dad has an iPad and Mum has an iPad. Both have iPhones as well. Everything on the one account. Mum watches TV shows on her iPad as well...but rarely syncs with PC computer. He said some of the purchases download, where others don't? And he is worried about mum's purchases filling up his computer memory!
So his question is: how do you STOP them syncing/downloading?
I've searched & googled but can only find questions from people asking how to sync...not the other way around.
Any ideas?

How do you subscribe to national holidays when using Ical?

I'm new to Apple products so forgive me for sounding dumb. I need to know how to "subscribe" to a national holidays Ical.

There are a number of ways to do this. The easiest way is to use a program like RSS Bandit, FeedDemon, or Sharpreader. I've used RSS Bandit for a while and it works fine. Find it at www.rssbandit.org. Its free and easy to set up.
1) Download and install RSS Bandit
2) Start RSS Bandit
3) Click File, then click New Subscription. The Add Subscription Wizard will pop up. Click the Next button.
4) Make sure the "I will enter the URL of the web feed or page" option is selected and click Next.
5) In your browser, click the RSS feed to take you to the RSS page (technically a file). Copy the address that is in the browser bar
6) Go back to the RSS Bandit's Add Subscription Wizard and paste the URL into the URL field.
7) Click Next and RSS Bandit will get the latest updates from the RSS feed.
As you can see the process is exactly the same as for a podcast, only you won't be downloading audio and/or video files.

How do you to sync your or msn mail and run windows live messenger on 8900????

Hi peeps again, previously i was using E71 and synchronizing msn with E71 is just so easy plus window live messenger was already pre-installed on that device so i didnt have probs with it however when it comes to BB 8900, it so complicated to sync and install software. my 8900 is currently running on v4.6.1.250 (Platform 4.2.0.113)
1) What should i do when my 8900 shows "Service not enabled for this handheld." when trying to launch MSN after typing the password and E-mail address?

How do you add/sync "ineligible" songs to an iPhone?

If I want to download a sub-128 kbps music file and get it on my iPhone immediately, how does one go about this? The file isn't eligible to be uploaded to the cloud, and it doesn't show up on my "Recently Added" playlist.
Prior to iCloud, I would simply have the "Recently Added" playlist set in the "Music" tab of my iPhone in iTunes to sync automatically with my iPhone. That way, I would add the music file to iTunes, sync, and the file would be available on my iPhone via the "Recently Added" playlist (or via Artist, Song, etc., but this was the easiest way).
Now, after adding the file, I get nothing in my "Recently Added" playlist, nor does it even sync to my iPhone. There isn't even an option to select which playlists get synced to my iPhone.
Anybody have an idea re: how can I get an "ineligible" (sub-128 kbps) music file directly from my computer to my iPhone now, without using Dropbox or a similar workaround? I simply want to add the file to iTunes and have it available on my iPhone after a sync like I did prior to iTunes Match.

First, enable the view options for iCloud status. sort the new column. highlight the songs listed as ineligible. Go to the advanced menu and select "create AAC version" with the original files still highlighted, hit delete. when prompted if you want them moved to the trash, say no. then re-run match. The AACs should all be eligible, so they will either match or upload.
I should have added that if you really don't want to fix the problem, just get the song on your iphone, you'd have to turn the iPhone's match off, do a manual USB sync, then turn match back on. However, some have reported problems in making this work.

There is an option to be able to sync you iPhoto with you Facebook so you can easily import photo's to facebook without having to go in and browse choose etc. I want to Unsync my Facebook from iPhoto because someone else will be taking over the computer. How do I do this?

How do you remove synced photos from iPad using MacBook?

I synced photos onto my ipad and would like to remove them. For some reason I can not figure out how to remove the photos. It seems that with the new itunes, i am unable to view(select) the photos to remove. Does anyone know how I can do that? Thank you for your help.

How can you get the public variables from object that extends JLabel?

How do you PRECISELY sync two video tracks?

Here's the background:
I filmed a video, in the dark, doing sequential movements with light-sources while listening to a metronome (to create a pattern of trail-effects)
I then took this video, duplicated it, took the opacity down to 50%, and overlayed it with the original
I then attempted to offset the video by 1/2/3 clicks of the metronome, identifying it by the soundwave.
Here's my dilema:
I can only use the razor tool at certain quantities of time along the timeline, and can only DRAG the clip along certain incriments of time along the time line.
I am finding it impossible to get the metronome 'clicks' lined up seamlessly!
why can I not drag the duplicate clip along to ANY incriment of space/time along the timeline? Is there a way around this?

I tried this as well. If you zoom in enough, even when using the 'p' tool, the clip 'jumps' along certain incriments as I try to drag it. I can not place it precisely where I want along a continuous set of coordinates along the timeline.
I am trying to match up two videos via the audio waveform, syncing the metronome 'clicks' that are present in the videos (and also taking them out of phase, with the metronome 'clicks' lining up, but the video itself is not (it's out of phase)) [[think sine and cosine, same waveform, but out of phase]].
I used the metronome to sustain consistency [[wavelength]] and mark the points at which to sync them out of phase [[i.e. crest vs. trough, etc]]

Apps in iTunes seem to want to do their own thing. Under "apps" and in the "apps" list, click "install" or "remove" next to the apps to do just that.

I'm sorry, I guess I didn't fully understand your sync/delete method for videos. I'm not sure I know of a way to work around this dilemma short of manually updating your iPod.
If you have to resort to manually managing your files, you could resort to the "playlist" update option:
Try creating playlist(s) and syncing only those playlists.
Select the iPod in iTunes. Click the Music tab.
Tick Sync music and Selected playlists.
Tick the playlists you want on the iPod.
Then just Add/Delete from those playlists and plug in the iPod.
When you add a video and delete it from your library things won't get erased this way.
