How do you undownload a toolbar

I download a program from the internet and it gave me a toolbar I don't want. I have uninstall the program but the toolbar is still there.and it is also keeps trying to download this chrome toolbar and then a message thingy pops up say fire cant because one already exist and when I push ok it take me to some website with some tv shows. Can you me?

You probably have an unwanted extension that is adding the toolbar as well as trying the download. Please disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or if possible Remove).
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that get rid of the toolbar?
Two other things:
(1) Check for a user.js file in your settings folder, as described in this article: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]]
(2) Supplement your regular security scans with a few extras. This article lists tools that other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]

  • How do you customize the toolbar in Windows XP?

How do you customize the toolbar in Windows XP? When I right click on the menu bar the "Customize..." option is there but it does absolutely nothing.
Which brings me to the rhetorical question as to why it was necessary to shuffle everything around, was it broken? Did it not work? Since 2006 I've moved my mouse pointer almost instinctively to the left side of the screen, now all of a sudden I have to go right, is there a point?
This is like supermarkets that as soon as you have figured out where everything is, they shuffle everything around and now you are stuck in mystery shopping. At least they have economic reasons. Meanwhile Firefox seems disposed to make itself look more like Chrome, but hey if I wanted Chrome I'd get it.

Nope... Thanks, but Safe Mode does not do the trick. Oh sure you can move the buttons around and rearrange things to your liking, unfortunately it does not stay that way once you get out of Safe Mode.
I guess if you use an XP machine you are doomed to use FF's interpretation of what it should look like, which is ass backwards from what it has been for the past FIVE YEARS!!! Why not? It seems XP users are now the Freddo's of computing.
Someone should go to you developer's homes move everything around, forks in the basement, beds in the bathroom, TV up in the attic with the mice, dining table outside on the porch, see how you like it.

  • How do you restore the toolbars

When I click a shortcut on my desktop when the page opens all the toolbars and address bar are gone. The page opens at the top of the webpage. This does not happen when I open Internet Explorer. In fact the top of this page is at the top of my monitor screen. I cannot see anything above the ASK A QUESTION, heading. When this happened I made an online payment to a credit card.

  • How do you make the toolbar larger, mac desktop?

Can anyone tell me how to make my toolbar, at the top of the display, larger? it is very tiny. I'm visually impaired. there doesn't seem to be any accessability program on the mac. I'm used to a full accessability program on windows can anyone help me reprogram the display. meaning specifically the font. we did it before on our ancient mac.. thanks for your help.

You would have to lower the display resolution to increase the size of the screen menubar. Some system fonts can be changed using TinkerTool. Other tools you can use are found in the Accessibility preferences.

  • Reader X - How do you dock the toolbar permanently on an enterprise install?

We are testing Adobe Reader X now on several machines in our environment. We do not like the floating toolbar and want to dock it permanently for all users (per machine), not just the current user.
The following thread documents the HKCU setting for this.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3607029#3607029
Is there a machine setting or all user setting that can be used when creating the .mst with the Customization Wizard?
We do not want any of our users (30,000 in all) to have to manually make this change.
Enterprise installs should have enterprise soutions for issues like this.
    Thanks,

    To clarify:
    Adobe Reader X
When opening pdfs on the web, some toolbars are not displayed. They appear as a floating tool bar when you move the cursor down the page.  We have had user complaints from users we currenlty have testing Adobe Reader X about this floating tool bar. Since we have 30,000 users, we do not want the Help Desk innundated with calls when we deploy Adobe Reader X to all of these machines.  We need to be able dock the loating tool bar permanently in Adobe Reader X at the machine level, not at the Current User level. This is an enterprise install and I would would like to be able to make this change in the .mst file using the Cusomization Wizard X.
    Thanks,
    Sandy

  • How do you uninstall TerraGo Toolbar from Acrobat X?

I am trying to uninstall TerraGo Toolbar from Acrobat X. When I try to uninstall it in Control Panel/Programs and Features (Windows 7), I get the message "Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable."  Is there anyway to uninstall or disable TerraGo Toolbar without uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat X.

    Hi Bruce,
    Solution 1)
If you attempt to uninstall TerraGo Toolbar while the Adobe application is running, TerraGo will abort the uninstall process and your operating system will present an error message. Depending upon your operating system, the message presented may be unnecessarily severe. Close the Adobe application and re-start the uninstall process.
    Solution 2)
If you attempt to uninstall TerraGo and encounter the Windows-specific error message, “Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified location exists and is writable”, follow the instructions posted at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2564571 to resolve the issue.
Let me know if the issue persist.
    Regards,
    Aadesh

  • How do you uninstall unwanted toolbars ( I didn't install); also in the application file "toolbars" is not there. What do I do?

There are  5 toolbars loaded onto my computer that I didn't install. When I go to uninstall them they say go to your application file for "toolbar".  Well, I go there any the application file doesn't contain "Toolbars".  So now what do I do.  Do I need to take this to the "Geek" Squad for their help?

You might stump GeekSquad, and you can do it yourself. The best action at this point is to ask this question in the Safari forums here:
    Safari
There are some amazing wizards there who can give you step-by-step instructions for removing those offenders at home. The unsupported toolbar issue is common there, so they have the answer ready to go.

  • How do you display toolbar in safari

How can you get the toolbar?  I have read everything I can but don't see it covered.  I have a task I need to do that instructs me to click on the view tab but I don't have one

If you mean the bookmarks bar go to Settings>Safari>Always Show Bookmarks Bar.
There is no View tab in the Safari app on the iPad. That is a function of the desktop version of Safari - not the iPad version. There is no tool bar in the iPad version of Safari.
What exactly are you trying to do or see? Do you mean the Open In option by any chance?
