How do you uninstall and then re-install iMovie?
I posted here last week about having trouble with iMovie and still can't figure out why it is being so lame... SO. I was thinking that I may just unload and then reinstall the program. Would anyone recommend that or is that a bad idea? I guess I will lose all the projects I've done thus far but I suppose it would be worth it to be able to use the program again! How would I go about doing this?
ImportExportTools is good for saving/backup of your mail. For what you want, probably the zipped folders would be the easiest. You can export your address book(s) to a file (use LDIF; it's much easier to import later).
However, these are only pieces of the profile. With TB NOT running, you can copy your entire profile to another location/medium just by doing a file copy. Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile I copy mine to a USB memory.
When you uninstall and reinstall TB, you will not be changing your profile! So if you want a really clean start, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to create a new/clean profile. Don't delete your old one; you may need parts of it.
If things are still 'wonky' after a new start, let me know.

Firefox has stopped working altogether (Windows 7). It will NOT start. The spinning start up graphic will spin for a moment, and quit. Firefox frequently 'not responding' having auto-installed version 10 yesterday. No previous problems. Have disabled all plugins and uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox several times today. How do you uninstall and re-install on the same computer and keep all of your 'stuff'?
My TBird has gotten a little wonky and despite the best efforts of your support forum, it appears it is gonna stay 'wonky'.
Therefore, I would like to uninstall and re-install it and see if that solves the problem, but, of course, I would like to somehow export my messages/folders and address books.
I used an add-on called IMPORTEXPORTTOOLS to export my folders It gives you various options though and I didn't know the best one to choose.
Also, I couldn't figure out how to export my address book. I exported all of this to an Email product called CLAWS (which I can't even get to work...lol). However, if worse comes to worse, I can perhaps import them from the CLAWS client.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

How do I uninstall and then reinstall Lightroom 4?
My Lightroom 4 is acting up (edit options grayed out...it wonʻt let me delete photos...itʻs saying photos are missing when I havenʻt renamed or relocated them, etc.). So I want to UNinstall, then REinstall it to see if that helps. I ordered LR online and have my serial number. If I uninstall LR and then reinstall it again will LR think that Iʻm installing it on another computer? Iʻve had programs and computers crash in the past and Adobe thinks that Iʻm reinstalling on multiple computers, rather than just reinstalling it on the same computer. Does anyone have some insight?
Tell us more about your OS, etc... It maybe that you don't need to reistall, etc at all.

I'm using Windows 8.1 and could not open pdfs (or indeed open Acrobat XI Pro at all). I have CS6 Master Suite, and I seem to recall Acrobat coming with that purchase, whether it's officially part of CS6 or not.
Forums suggested uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat. I've uninstalled but am now struggling to find where/how to re-install Acrobat from my account on Adobe.com.
Any pointers please?Thank you very much for your answer - but the problem is that I went down that route to no avail.
I only have one serial number, and that's the one I got when I purchased CS6 Master Suite. Acrobat XI seemed to come as part of this.
But when I use my CS6 serial number, the Acrobat installer doesn't like it.
To my knowledge, I don't have any other serial numbers at my disposal.

As long as you have all of the content in your library then that remove and sync warning shouldn't cause any loss of data, but it shouldn't be happening every time. It may pay to take the following steps to reset the connection between the two,
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
Again, this assumes all content on the device is in your library. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

How do I uninstall and then install PSE 9 w/o losing one license?
I'm still unable to open the PSE 9 Organizer. Message: "Elements 9 Organizer has stopped working." My only alternative is to uninstall PSE 9 and re-install and hopefully that will solve the problem. But how do I do that and not "lose" one of the 2 licenses that comes with PSE 9?

I have an error happening saying Thunderbird has stopped working and as far as I can see i have to uninstall it and re-install to get it fixed but I don't want to loose all my e-mail and contacts. How do I avoid this
AFAIk you can just uninstall Thunderbird and reinstall. The profile will not be deleted. If you want to make sure, however, make a backup of your profile folder first.

P.S. _ Matter of fact you should regularly backup your data (e.g. your thunderbirdprofile) to some place different so as not to loose it all, if a thunderbird-bug/virus/windows-failure/Layer8-Problem corrupts your data. -

I am unable to find solution for this issue. what is the solution for this?
