How do you uninstall GarageBand,

How do I uninstall GarageBand & will I lose everything ?

To uninstall GarargeBand, tap and hold the app icon, until it starts to wiggle; then press the "x" in the upper left corner.
In IOS 7 you will now see a prompt, asking if you really want to delete the app.
Deleting GarageBand will delete all GarageBand projects from your iPad, and only the projects stored in iCloud will be saved.
Why do you want to delete GarageBand? Do you need to free space?

  • How do you 'uninstall' GarageBand '08??

I have trouble with G-Band. All other iLife '08 apps are fine, but G-Band starts 'initializing', or at least attempts to, and then I get 'Please ensure this Product has been installed properly'. I've updated to the latest version, no luck - then trashed all GB files and the app itself, reinstalled and updated, but still same problem.
I'm not sure when it started acting up, because I use Logic Express mostly ...go back to GB for fun. All other software, including the OS is up to date. There is no 'uninstall' option on the disc I can find ....any ideas?? I'm just about to try the other User ....see if it happens there too.
thanks in advance - and I'll thank you again if you have a fix 4 me
HOLD THE PRESS : I've tried the other user and it works, so I'll just have to troubleshoot my own User account. If you know of any beaties which might annoy GB, let me know!
    cheers

Ok, the solution to my problem: I went to the ~/Library/ Audio / Plug Ins / Components. I thought it would be a case of removing them all, and replacing 1 by 1 and testing...a tedious task. But I saw AmpliTube2.component, and on a hunch, dragged it out to the desktop. Launched G-Band from the dock and voila - success!
I hope this info may be of use to others

  • HOW DO I UNINSTALL GARAGEBAND

HOW DO I UNINSTALL GARAGEBAND BECAUSE I DOWNLOADED THE WHOLE VERSION BUT I DONT NEED IT NO MORE AND ITS TAKING MY MEMORY, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO DELETE THE PROGRAM JUST UNINSTALL IT?

Uninstalling means deleting the program (and some other files).
By far the most storage hungry part of GB are the loops, so you might just delete the corresponding folder: HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops.
If you want more free space, delete the Instrument Library: HD/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library.
That will leave GB without loops and instruments, but still capable of recording audio.
If you want to get rid of GB completely, do a Spotlight search with "garageband" and delete all the files that come up (that includes the program).
And please don't write in all-caps, that's considered shouting (and hard to read).

  • HT1338 How does one uninstall Garageband and other things?

How does one uninstall Garageband and other things on the Macbook air?

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper
        2. AppDelete
        3. Automaton
        4. Hazel

  • How do you uninstall Windows 10 Dual Boot?

    Hello,
I am running a dual boot installation of Winodws 8.1 and 10 Techical Preview, and I like to know how do you uninstall the Windows 10 from the dual boot scheme?  I think I've uninstalled previous beta versions of windows 8 by erasing the partition it
was installed into and that was it.  Is this the correct way to remove window 10 too? Just asking, since the graphical version of the OS boot screen is present in this dual boot installation, does that change anything.

Logon to your Win 8.1 > press the Win logo key and R key . You are now at Run window> at the Run box type diskmgmt.msc > OK
You are now at Disk Management window > right click at the partition that house your Win 10 TP > click Delete Volume > the partition is now UNALLOCATED.
At the left of it is your Win 8.1 partition. Yes ?
If yes, right click at Win 8.1 partition > click Extend Volume > click Next > at Select the amount of space in MB, type in the maximum available space shown for the unallocated space in MB > Next >  Finish
The space shrunk for Win 10 partition is now back to your Win 8.1

  • How do you uninstall applications in OS X specifically classic (os 9)

how do you uninstall applications in OS X specifically classic (os 9)

Do you mean you want to remove Classic (OS 9)?
If so, there's not much to it. First, be sure you don't need, or plan to use any OS 9 or earlier applications. You'll need Classic to run them if you do. Second, back up any files created with those older apps if you need to.
Once you're ready, delete the following folders:
System Folder (NOT System. That's the OS X system folder.)
Applications (Mac OS 9) (NOT Applications. Those are the OS X apps.)
If OS X complains that it can't empty the trash because "items are in use", restart and you should then be able to empty the trash.
