How do you uninstall previous versions of CC Apps?

I am using the Mavericks OS. When I go to uninstall previous CC or 6 applications, I get a message that the OS is using them and I'm not allowed to touch them. Afraid I'm going ti end up with a mess of apps I no longer use and would like to regain the space. Any thoughts?

How do you uninstall older versions of labview and all their components, registries etc?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you're looking to get a more through uninstall, then Revo Uninstaller is a good way to go. That will run the regular NI uninstallers and then search for leftover registry entries and files. You can also use MSI Blast.

  • How to restore the previous version of an app?

    Hi,
I would like to restore the previous version of an iphone APP. I hate the new version. I deleted the new version of the app on my Iphone 4 and also on Itunes. I use windows 7 pro. Is there a way to get the previous version of that app? I use Itunes 11, which is the newest version I believe. I have done several backups this year and last year, if that helps. But I am not sure if the app was backed up as well. I know where the back ups are store in my computer. I dont know much about Itunes, can someone help please?
    Thanks,
    Strupar

If you have the older version in your recycle bin, or one of your backups, delete the current version of the .ipa file, then paste in a copy of the old one. In iTunes go to the apps section of your library and attempt to Get Info for the app in question. Normally the two versions will have slightly different file names so iTunes may ask you to locate the file, do so. On your device delete the copy of the app, then sync with iTunes. You'll need to disable all forms of automatic updating, and will lose any settings and data associated with the app.
Hmm, offhand I can't recall if automatic updating in iOS 7 is optional. Check that first.

  • PSE installation issues - How do you uninstall trial version???

I've read several posts about this already, but I can't seem to figure out how to uninstall the trial version of PSE for mac. (I am getting the critical errors/incompatible payloads error message. Shame on Adobe for not fixing this yet.)
I read not to dump it into the trash. But when I launch the program from untilities I don't see any option to unintall. One post said to "remove it" How do you do this? The delete key doesn't work. How on earth do you uninstall something? I can't even get into the trial version because it keeps asking for a serial number (and I've read entering it doesn't help. I'm so lost, and really didn't plan on spending my hard earned Friday night doing this.) Any help would be much much appreciated!

There is no uninstaller. The only two icons in the Adobe Installer folder were something called Exented Scripts Installer and the Photoshop Elements icon. I got tired of messing around with it after several hours and finally ran the cleanscript 3 program which worked; I was able to install the purchased version right away. It still really bothers me that I could not figure out how to uninstall though, I'm sure I will need to in the future.
I wonder if my computer is just missing this installer/uninstaller option?

  • Can I uninstall previous versions of Adobe Apps in my creative cloud and still use the current 2014 versions of the same apps.

I want to stream line the amount of applications on my MAC. I currently have the CS6, CC, and CC2014 version of the Adobe applications. Can I uninstall the CS6 and CC versions and still run the CC2014 version without any issues?

  • How do you open previous versions of Pages docs on new MBP?

Besides the fact that it is absolutey rediculous that I am even having this issue, can someone please tell me there is a simple solution to opening documents made on a mac, with mac software that I am now being told "is too old and needs to be saved in '09" which I didn't have nor am running on my new computer.
How could Apple actually release software that isn't able to communicate with an older version of itself.  Im baffled.  Someone please tell me how I can atleast extract the information and turn it into a text file.
    Thank you

I am trying to open documents that were created in Pages '08 in the most recent version of Pages that came with my MacBook Pro.
I think I may have figured out a work around. I found a trial version of iWorks '09 so I downloaded it and am in the process of saving the documents in '09 as the alert message stated.  Hopefully this will allow me to open them and edit them in the most recent version of Pages.

  • How do I uninstall previous versions of PE - MacOS X?

Because of system corruption running Mac OS X 10.4.8, I had to reinitialize my hard drive and reinstall everything. By mistake, I installed an old version (2.0) of Photoshop Elements instead of the version I was previously running (4.0) I thought installing 4.0 would "update" 2.0 but it didn't. It left 2.0 intact. I do not want both programs on the computer. Can I simply drag the 2.0 folder into the trash?

Yes, that's all you need to do. For future reference, every version of PE is a separate program that will not affect earlier versions. On a mac, you can even run all the versions at once, as long as you open the oldest ones first.

  • How best to uninstall previous version - Mac

I am on a Mac and have  updated creative design suite CS5 to CS6. I see CS5 is all still present. How do I best uninstall all that?
I did this upgrade because I upgraded to Mountain Lion.

I don't know of any "best" method, but since you already have installed CS6 and to avoid making a mess, running Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and trashing the CS5 folders manually might be the most painless way. Otehrwise you can of course use the uninstallers, but may have to reinstall CS6 again afterwards to fix broken shared components and file handlers.

  • How do you restore previous versions of iBook

I still have my old IPad 1 and cannot read books anymore with version 3,2 of iBooks . Where can I find the old 1,5 version and restore it since IOS on my iPad iwill not upgrade from IOS 5?

Do you have the iBooks app on your account's purchase history ? If not then try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and you should be able to download an older compatible version of it.

  • How to uninstall previous versions of lightroom?

how do you uninstall previous versions of lightroom?
Do you also need to delete any folders?
I have Updated to the new LR CC version a couple of days ago and need space.

Knowing whether you are using a Mac or a PC would be rather important to answer your question.
Anyhow, there is not need to delete any program folder manually. Simply use the respective method of your OS.
LR CC created a copy of your LR5 catalog and upgraded it. If you remove LR5 you might want to remove the catalog file as well as the preview folder (make sure not to delete the new ones of LR CC ).

  • How do you uninstall Windows 10 Dual Boot?

    Hello,
I am running a dual boot installation of Winodws 8.1 and 10 Techical Preview, and I like to know how do you uninstall the Windows 10 from the dual boot scheme?  I think I've uninstalled previous beta versions of windows 8 by erasing the partition it
was installed into and that was it.  Is this the correct way to remove window 10 too? Just asking, since the graphical version of the OS boot screen is present in this dual boot installation, does that change anything.

Logon to your Win 8.1 > press the Win logo key and R key . You are now at Run window> at the Run box type diskmgmt.msc > OK
You are now at Disk Management window > right click at the partition that house your Win 10 TP > click Delete Volume > the partition is now UNALLOCATED.
At the left of it is your Win 8.1 partition. Yes ?
If yes, right click at Win 8.1 partition > click Extend Volume > click Next > at Select the amount of space in MB, type in the maximum available space shown for the unallocated space in MB > Next >  Finish
The space shrunk for Win 10 partition is now back to your Win 8.1

  • Adobe Reader Customization uninstall previous versions

Hello, I deployed Adobe Reader XI through Group Policy, Windows Server 2003. I used the Adobe Reader XI Customization Tool, and created a transform. I left the option checked to uninstall previous versions of Reader. Adobe Reader XI installed with all other settings configured properly that were created in the transform; however, the previous version, Adobe Reader X, did not uninstall. Has anyone experience this issue? If so, how did you get the other version of Adobe uninstalled?

Make sure the last thing you do in the wizard (right before you save) is check the box. There is a current bug in the customization wizard that will uncheck that option if you do anything else afterwards. There is a note of the bug in the wizard documentation located here (see the note in section 6.2): http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Wizard/installoptions.html#remove-insta lled-products
The note reads: "There is a current bug in which this checkbox becomes unchecked if any other feature is configured. Therefore, if you want to remove all versions of Reader, check this box as your last action before you save the modified package."
