Sorry if this has been answered before.
Safari 5.0.5 crashes on javascript audio player calls that worked fine in 5.0.4 and every other browser. I couldn't find an un-install in the package. Is it possible to revert to 5.0.4?

I downloaded an older version of Safari (5.0.3) that should be supported by OS X 10.5.8 but when I go to install it, I get the error message that "a newer version of Safari already exists". If you have a Time Machine backup, you can try starting from the Mac OS X DVD (pressing C key while your Mac is starting) and select the option to restore the Time Machine backup on Utilities menu.
If you haven't got a backup, you have to reinstall Mac OS X. Insert the Mac OS X DVD and reinstall Leopard. After reinstalling Mac OS X, open  > Software Update to install the most recent version, so Safari will be working after doing this

My 5.5 Raw Update was working well, then I decided to update to the 5.6 Raw plugin. I was not happy with the colors and sharpness of the images opened with the 5.6 plugin. I would like to thrash this and get back to 5.5. However, PS E does not allow me to open any RAW images now and the Camera Raw Preference in Bridge does not open. New updates cannot be installed either as my system say I have the 5.6 plugin installed. How do I uninstall everything and get back to my 5.5 update? I cannot find the location of my 5.6 Raw plugin, I have looked under PS 4 Photoshop application folders as well as Bridge folders. Thanks for your help.

Finally, my problem was solved by Adobe Support, go to : www.tinyurl.com/yfznztk and hit Enter. Then manually download Camera Raw 5.5 plugin from their site. Once its on your desktop highlight the "Plugin". Copy this Plugin ( Command C), then open your Hard disk on the desktop and go to Application Support-Adobe CS4-File Format- hit command V to load the Camera Raw 5.5 into the Plugin Folder. Then re-start computer. Now, you should have a working Camera Raw 5.5. Do not download the Camera Raw 5.6 as it is a Beta version meant for developers!

How do you uninstall Photoshop from one computer and retain the serial number?

I purchased Photoshop CS4 a few years ago which allowed me to use the serial number on two computers, however the initial laptop I installed it on suffered fatal injuries and couldn't be recovered. The problem is that Photoshop is still technically installed on it, therefore the serial number can only be used once more.
I've since bought a new laptop, and PS is installed, but I'm wanting to install it (and use the serial number) on my work computer which the program will not let me do. Is it possible to cancel out the serial number used on that first broken laptop so that I can install it on my newest one?

Usually that kind of thing is possible, but since you no longer have access to the crashed system, it's not something you can do yourself... Only Adobe customer service can help since they control what's activated for your license in their database...
So your best bet is to contact them and see what they can do - for example resetting all activations of your serial number, so you then start over from scratch (and can reactivate as you desire).

Can I uninstall Safari 4.0.3 and revert to previous version?

Apple updated my Safari yesterday and now my bank website says it's an unsupported browser (it was fine with 4.0.2). Also, since the update, Glims has stopped working for search engine functions.
Is there a way to revert to the previous version of Safari (I don't use Time Machine)?

Those who for some reason do not want to continue using the fastest, safest version of Safari (4.0.3) and want to revert back to an older version, can do so by performing an archive and install:

Download Safari 3.2.3 from Apple's Download page. http://support.apple.com/downloads/Safari3_2_3_forTiger
Quit Safari.
Delete Safari
Delete the receipts file at /Library/Receipts/Safari4.0Tiger.pkg
Empty Trash
Mount the Safari 3.2.3 dmg file and install it.
Restart your Mac
Repair permissions
All should be good with Safari 3.2.3.
I am unable to verify whether this works. Try it and post back with results!

i can not send or receive messages BUT I know my account is set up right cause i have used it for the last two years...ive only had this problem the last couple days. The only way to go back in time is to use your install disk and run an archive and install... but then you will need to upgrade again incrementally

If you're looking to get a more through uninstall, then Revo Uninstaller is a good way to go. That will run the regular NI uninstallers and then search for leftover registry entries and files. You can also use MSI Blast.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
