How do you unpair a trackpad to a Mac?

It was paired to my MBP.
Temporarly I needed to pair it to a MacMini.
Now I want it back with the MBP, however whenenver the MacMini is on it connects it there first.

Go to the MacMini.
Launch System Preferences->Bluetooth
Find the trackpad in the list on the left column of the window.
Click once on the name of the trackpad in that list.
Click on the minus sign (–) at the bottom of the list to delete it, which will un-pair the Mini with the trackpad.

  • How do you "pause" an open application, like Mac automatically does when the memory is full?

How do you "pause" an open application, like Mac automatically does when the memory is full?
I would like to do so proactively when I am not using a certain program but need to keep it open, and I want to free up computer resources.
In other words, I want to keep a given program open, but stop it from "thinking".

There is an application that I can only open a set number of times before it expires.  Every time the program closes, you get one less use out of it.  I want to use it as long as possible, so I thought I would just keep it open all the time.  However, it consistently turns on the fan on the computer, so I imagine it uses a lot of resources.  I got the idea after the Force Quit program "paused" it once after getting overloaded with all the apps I had open.  It stopped the fan, and I was able to open it and run it again later with no problems.  The tricky thing with trying to intentionally overload the system is that it's a hit or miss on which open program the OS will pause (to my knowledge).

  • If you've changed your startup options on mac to start in windows, how do you fix and go back to mac on startup?

if you've changed your startup options on mac to start in windows, how do you fix and go back to mac. I can't get my mac to switch back to mac, it is like stuck in widows mode, I have tried holding down the options key upon start up and that did not fix it either.
Please help! Thank you so much!

The Apple drivers you install in Windows also puts a Startup Drive icon in the Task Bar. Choose that to change the startup disk back OS X.

how do you play mine craft on a mac with 2 screens fullscreen   i play mine craft and i have a mac pro with 2 screens and i want to know how to play mine craft with both screens

Up until Mavericks, the default setup for multiple displays was "Extended desktop". This picture show how it works far better than any words I could post here:
The blue boxes are Icons for your displays, whose sizes are proportional to the number of pixels. Drag the boxes so that they accurately represent the placement of the displays on your bench (left, right, up, down). Then the mouse moves freely across the boundary between displays, and you can drag a window with it. You can also stretch a window so that it covers most of both screens.
The small white header is an Icon for the MenuBar, which is also moveable.
for Mavericks and later, a different scheme "Displays have separate spaces" becomes the default, but can be annulled by this setting in Mission Control:
"Full Screen" is a concept ported from iOS, the land of tiny screens and one-at-a-time processing for the iPhone. If you have multiple screens, invoking "Full Screen" will make most of the screens stop working entirely, which your main window expands into the MenuBar area. Do not use "Full Screen" on a Mac with multiple screens.

How do you connect a microphone to the Mac?  I'm trying to record vocals onto Garage Band.  I tried to use an adapter (XLR to MONO 3.5 mm) to connect directly to the port on the side of the MacBook Pro.

I prefer USB mics - a really cool and nice one that I used to have was the Blue Snowball, available at Amazon for a great price. It got lost in a move but I intend on getting another.

It says 'To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.'
However I only have one account. I've tried to sign out and in several times. But it doesn't work. I do remember changing my password recently. Secondly I'd like to add that I got this macbook air 3 days ago. I'm a first time mac user. It had three updates initially. Mountain lion 10.8.2, iphoto and the imovie. I updated the mountain lion, thinking I'd get the iphoto and imovie done later. However now this problem has come up. Thanks for responding. Hoping to hear from you soon again regarding this.

  • How do you eject speakers properly from your mac?

How do you eject speakers properly from your mac?

speakers (3.5 mm out) do not matter how they are removed, just unplug them and you will be fine
when this happens, Mac Core Audio (you dont need to know about it, but an important part) will look for another output device, and your internal speakers are likely to start playing
if you use USB or FireWire speakers, there is a possibiliy that they use some sort of strange arbitrary driver
in that case, go to system preferences> sound> output> and select something else than the speakers in question.
then you should be able to unplug at will.
