How do you update playlists on your iPod with the new iTunes?
With the new iTunes, I can't seem to be able to update playlists on my iPhone device when plugging it in. I can add songs to the playlist and can add songs to my device. However after adding songs to a playlist, I can not update that playlist on my device with the new iTunes. You used to be able to just drag a playlist to the device and update it, but you no longer can. Can someone please tell how to go about updating playlists on devices using the new iTunes.
Do you mean remove them from the iPod or transfer them back to your computer? You can't transfer photo's back to the computer with iTunes. To retrieve photos from an iPod try:

iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
To remove individual photos from an iPod you delete or remove the photo from the folder that you linked to when you set the preference "synch photos from" and update the iPod. For example, if the iPod is getting the pictures from the folder "My Pictures," delete or remove them from My Pictures.

I can't figure ou thow to add music from Itunes to my iPhone. I don't want to sync them, I prefer to select the files/music etc I want on my phone?
In Windows 7, iTunes 11, When you connect your device, and drag a file or multiple files to the right part of iTunes and a screen will appear with the playlist and the devices connected. Hope this will help you!

I have a new ipod, and the new itunes. I cant find any itunes version information, but it downloaded on the 27/9/13
The old itunes showed your library and ipod icons on the left, and I could simply drag music onto the ipod icon.
With the new itunes, there is no ipod icon to drag music too. I certainly dont want to put all my music onto ipod, or have it pick songs randomly. I have way too much music for itunes, I basically drag some albums to itunes, copy them to the ipod, then delete them from itunes. I have to do this for 2 reasons, one is that my music is spread over various places, and usually when you plug in an external drive it gives it a different letter, so you "lose" music, and secondly because much of my music doesnt have correct tags because I ripped it from my CDs before there was internet databases (yes I’m old).
Any ideas how I get an album from a HD onto my ipod?

It sounds like you may want to show the sidebar in iTunes. You can access it again by following this:

Show Sidebar - Choose View > Show Sidebar (this feature will display iTunes features on the left side of the application including Library, Store, Shared, Genius, and Playlists).

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. How do you isolate an album or artist in the new iTunes? (12.0) It is really frustrating when trying to listen to one album and I get the album in the list with all 1,025 other albums in my library. Same with the artist.

You assumed correctly, and it should continue to play the rest of the album in order. Does this happen to all your albums. Have you tried restarting the tv. -

I just want to summarise a little here so that other can be sure what is expected when comes to this issue....
1. To transfer your purchases from iPod, iPad or iPhone, 1st U have to connect your iPod for this instance to your PC. Once connected, you should see your iPod name appeared on the left column in iTune. Do a right click on your iPod to Transfer your purchase to this NEW iTune. Since is a new iTune, all your Apps from your iPod will be transfer to here...
2. Once transfer is completed, you should see all Apps in iTune now. Before you syn, you may choose what you want to syn to your iPod by checking the box next to the Apps. So eventually those that are not check will remain in your iTune together with those you have syn. Since they are purchased Apps ( Free/Paid ) it will remain in your account unless you choose to delete them via iTune. -

Hi guys, I've just had a classic iPod, and I've been able to put movies I made with the "old" version of iMovie (iMovie'11) but whenever I want to put movies I've made with iMovie 10.0, I can't, my iPod "can't read them", what can I do to put them in my classic iPod?
I know the videos can only be read if they are MP4, but still, when they are, it doesn't want to be in my iPod...Share to "iTunes" and be sure to set the size to 480.
In the Share window you'll see a small triangular image next to Size. Click on it to change dimensions.
Once in iTunes you can move it to your iPod. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
