How do you use a memory card reader on a Macbook?

I have a Finepix camera and put the memory card into a memory card reader, which I then plugged into my Macbook. A little red light is flashing on the memory card reader but no icon or anything has come up on my Mac screen. Help!?

If you set up an Apple ID already and didn't enter credit card details because you were planning on using gift cards only, you probably set up the account incorrectly. If this is the case, you will have to enter the credit card details even if you want to use only gift cards and download free content only. Yoy will not have to use the card, but you can't use the ID without entering the card details now. You may be able to remove the card as well after the card is verified for use by Apple by editing your account details.

If you decide to create a new ID now, you will new another email address as wel, because the email address that you are currently using will already be associated with the ID that you just set up.

Some external ones do not work with the Mac's although most do. There are some driver compadibility issues with Mavericks, so I would wait for an update.

How can you get Belkin Media Card Reader to work with Fifth Gen iPod?

I got a new 80Gb iPod and then discovered my Belkin Card Reader I've used extensively with my 4th Gen iPod, no longer works with the new one. I easily transferred photo albums on my PC to the new iPod but the Belkin Reader is "not recognized" by the new one.
This is a MAJOR disappointment to me as we travel a lot and I've used my iPod all over the world for photo storage. I had about 15Gb of photos on my older 40 Gb iPod before I transferred them off and got the new one.
Is there any other portable card reader that will work with the 5th Gen iPod's?

We are using LabVIEW 5.0 and we want to capture sound from a microphone. Is the sound VI and a sound card enough to do it, or do you have to get more materials.

If you are in Microsoft Windows platform, you can just record the sound with the sound recording feature of windows.
You can do the same with LabVIEW, but it actually a little more difficult, though you do have more flexibility.
Try looking at your sound examples included with LabVIEW. There should be a few examples on how to acquire audio that may be exactly what you are looking for (always look at the examples, they cover the gammit of LabVIEW capabilities and are a great way to solve something to which the answer is not immediately availabe. I don't know of any other software package out there that provides this kind of sample program database.)

Then I went shopping, and now I cannot figure out how to get to the $15 to use it -- keeps wanting me to verify my credit info or update it. Is this just procedure, and then it will get me to the credit of $15, or will it just automatically charge to my Visa like usual?

Satellite L670-DX1 - after SP1 installation can't use memory card reader

Since I have upgraded my Satellite L670-DX1 from Win7 64Bits to Win7 64 bits SP1 (2 days ago) I can't use my memory card reader anymore, it always says it is a bad card and I should better reformat the card, with any card.
Does anyone have a similar problem or even better a solution for me?

yes i have installed sp1 using windows updater, i have tried to let the laptop search for new drivers, and i have the newest, i can't role it back because some virusscanning software makes it fail (allthough i made them inactive after cutting the wireless connection and before putting the old configurations back)

You just find an app you want to buy and buy it. The money should deduct from the card balance.
If you're afraid of it going on your credit card delete your card. (I'm presuming that you can. I set up my iTunes before you had to have a credit card and all I use are gift cards)

My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). I have tried unplugging the devices, restarting the computer, selectively unplugging and plugging in the devices, closing and opening the relevant applications (iTunes, iPhoto, etc). I have tried using different USB cables.
It's like all of a sudden the synching service stopped functioning or recognizing these devices for some reason. The other ports work just fine (monitor).
The only USB-connected external device that appears to be unaffected is the USB SuperDrive and it works on all the USB ports into which I plug it.
How do I fix this?

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens or doesn't happen.

I also have another set of cards on which I can deploy my applets using the APDU commands.
I was wondering if I could issue some prepersonalization commands over the JCShell, but did not find anything on this and was looking forward for some suggestions.

When you start to use the iTunes gift cards, you need to swipe to the bottom of the screen in iTunes or the App Store and tap on "Redeem" in order to enter the card info.
