How do you view recent back up made through iTunes?
When I plug my device in I want to see where the list of backups made on the device are, how do I get to that?
Generally only one backup exists for each device (you might have different backups for pre- and post updating iOS on a device, and possibly pre and post restoring it). On your computer's iTunes in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) the backups that exist should be shown on the Devices tab.
Backups of devices are stored on a Mac under
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
You can go to that folder in Finder via 'go to folder' (command-shift-G). Each folder shown under that will be a different backup (and there should be the number shown there as on the Devices tab in iTunes > Preferences). You probably won't be able make much sense of a backup unless you restore it onto a device.

How do you view app icons by Genre in Itunes 11.01.12
I'm sure you used to be able to click "Genre" view. I can more easily recognize my apps by icon than by name.
When I click view options and try to sort by genre, nothing happens. The only way I can sort my app icons is by filtering them.
What happened to arrange by Genre?They can be sorted by device type, all, or list.
The only thing that can be done in is list view to select "Genre" and it will sort by the appropriate type.
Frankly, if the apps are more easily recognized by the icon, go to the All view or device type view. -

I have changed some song names in iTunes but these change are not being made to the actual file. It worked yesterday when I changes the file name in iTunes the file name was also changed. Can someone please give me some advice.

You click on the hard disk in the Finder's sidebar and drag it back from there. In recent Mac OS X versions, you can also drag it there directly from the sidebar.

Apple has 'Back to my Mac' which could work well, however it is tied into iCloud & frankly makes it a real pain handling passwords to set it up.
I think the Messages application can allow you to request that someone can control the Mac via 'screen sharing' too, but I haven't tried across different OS X versions. -

You can't view the files in an iCloud backup. You can only see the data in the backup by restoring it to your iPad.

They should be there, assuming whatever service is used to sync content to the calendar syncs back that far.

I just bought the Apple iPad Air yesterday and I wanted to download a certain app from the app store. When it first opened it had a page come up over the apps with free apps that you could download to the iPad. I clicked on the not now button, thinking it would reappear after closing and re-opening the app store, but it did not. How do you get this back so that I can have the opportunity of checking the apps out?

As long as the app remains in the store then you can re-download it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app, or via the Purchased Link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
Similarly ibooks can be re-downloaded, and depending upon what country that you are in then music, films and tv shows may also be re-downloadable (if they remain available in the store). -
