How do you xfer from cassette tapes and vinyl records to pc and/or zen x

hello and greetings to all.
I am new to this forum and have a zen xtra 60 gb. well I am asking for assistance on how i would xfer my cassette tapes and vinyl to my pc and then to my player. I have a std compact stereo system, cd and cassette. The only ports on the back of my stereo are one set of video/aux which connect my stereo to my turntable. I currently have a y cable 2 audio cords (red and white) for my stereo and then a line in port that can connect to my mp3 player. does that end go to the actual player or to my soundcard? Am i even able to xfer tapes/vinyl to my pc/mp3 with this setup or do i need something else to be able to do so. Any and any advice on this will be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot.
dan

You need a line out from whatever you want to record from, and you need to connect this to the line in on your souncard (if you have one).
If you have a Creative soundcard you may well have some software with it than you can use for this. Creative Recorder (which is in the suite with the Audigy range) makes particularly light work of this.
Once you have recorded the files you can edit them pretty easily (assuming they're saved in the WAV format) if required, then convert them to MP3.
Let me know if you need more detail.

i have old cassette tapes how can i transfer them to my ipod

yes, but you will need an audio interface of some kind. do you have any recording software?
i would recommend some but all the programs i use are very high end and very expensive.
go down to your local bestbuy and ask them for an inexpensive audio recording software package(preferable one that can output to MP3) and the necessary cable to connect your tape deck to the line in socket on your computer.
then just record the music to your PC.

How do you xfer info from ipad2 to imac? Is there an icon on itunes to do this?

What info do you want to transfer and from which app(s) ? If it's contents/files of apps then for some it'll be via the File Sharing section at the device's apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, other apps may have wifi functionality so you can transfer files to/from your computer via your wifi network.

Open FaceTime, enter your Apple ID and password, and tap Sing in. On the screen enter your email address others will use to call you, then tap next. Choose a contact and start the call.
You can add another email address for yourself for others to also call you on.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
I assume you do mean a different account and not simply a different iTunes library. Unfortunately, in order to switch accounts, you would need to log out and log in to the second account.

How do you upgrade from Mac OS x 10.6.8 to Lion?

First check to be sure your hardware meets the hardware requirements for Lion.
Backup your data. I suggest a bootable clone as the way to go.
Then open App Store and purchase and download the Lion installer.
    Then install Lion.

how do you scan in a PDF form to make it electronic and have the fields electronic?

If you have Acrobat, you can create a PDF from a scan by selecting: File > Create > PDF from Scanner
This is for Acrobat 11. Previous version of Acrobat have something similar.
In order for Acrobat to be able to automatically add form fields, you will have to at least perform OCR on the PDF, but I would not expect good results. There's only so much it can do and starting from a scan is iffy. You will probably have to create the form fields yourself using the various form tools in form editing mode: Tools > Forms > Edit

How can you upgrade from MAC 10.4.4

    Backup your computer.
    Buy Snow Leopard.
    Boot from Snow Leopard DVD.
    Erase the hard drive.
    Install Snow Leopard.
    To get Snow Leopard:
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    To upgrade further see:
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Lion, or Mountain Lion installed. Purchase and download Mavericks (Free) from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
         OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • How do you transition from mobile.me to iCloud?

How do you transition from mobile.me to iCloud?

The link posted above is useless as it is completely out of date.
You cannot migrate a MobileMe to iCloud: MobileMe is closed and the contents of all accounts have been deleted.
If you had a MobileMe account you can reactivate the @me.com address by signing into System Preferences>iCloud with it and enabling Mail in the checklist there (Lion 10.7.2 or above required, you cannot do this on older systems) or in Settings>iCloud on an iOS5 device. The address will work but the previous contents of the account will not appear. If you also had an @mac.com version of the address from being a long-standing MobileMe member you cannot reactivate that, only the @me.com address.

How do you print from an iPad to an epson workforce 633?

If your printer is Aiprint capable you only have to go to the share tab, click it and you should see the name of your printer. Most AirPrint printers are very easy to set up. My HP recognized my wireless network when I turned it on and I simply followed the printers prompts to finish the setup. Apple has a list of AirPrint capable printers. Is yours on the list? See list from website
     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT435
As a alternate you can buy devices like xPrintServer by Lantronix which are supposed to allow you to use your existing printer. The device is hard wired to your printer but communicates wirelessly with your idevice.
Other options have companies like HP have services that basically allow you to send your material you want to print to HP and they in turn route it to your printer.
Hope one of these will work for you.
