Yes, it is possible. 1 apple ID can be associated with up to 10 devices.

If you have authorized a computer with the old apple ID, you can transfer old media purchased through the old to other devices via iTunes. This doesn't mean the media purchases through the old apple ID it transferred to the new account. If you use Find My iPhone to play a sound on your device, or issue a remote lock, when this action is take you receive an email informing you that it took place. To track your device you have to go to icloud.com on your computer and locate it on a map. To actually be informed that it is found, you would have to initiate Lost Mode, and have a message displayed on your device that tells the person that finds it how to contact you.

How does the new Iphone work with Ford Sync? I was thinking of purchasing the 4s but may go elsewhere if there is a better phone for the equipment in my vehicle.

That would be a NO.. I should have done my homework before I switched to IPhone because the Bluetooth just does not want to sync with my Ford Truck. Its such an inconvience. But I see from other posts that Ford isn't the only car experiencing problems. So Hopefully Apple fixes this problem QUICKLY!

Yes it does work.. but the map accuracy isn't great at all, but workeable
Try to sync from your computer again, and check the apps are there and are checked in the Applications tab of the iPhone page/screen.

According to the "Lost Mode" anytime the device is turned back on or able to receive a signal the phone will lock itself down and it's position will be updated to show its last known location.

As far as finding your phone goes, log onto icloud.com and use it to find the phone. The phone needs to be turned on and still have battery power. If it has been stolen, the thief can wipe the phone of information, so get on it ASAP.

If Find My iPod needs a Wifi connection to work, how will it be able to be locked/wiped/tracked if it doesn't have a internet connection. And iPods don't automatically connect to wifi connections. Whats the point of it.

This is meant for devices which are on network (wifi or GPS/3G). If the device is stolen and wiped, or is out of internet access range (wifi or 3G), then there is no phone in the world to find. Not only iPhone or Touch...
It is a great service for situations when you forget your Touch in the car or at your friends house. As long as it has Wifi and battery charge and the Find feature is turned on, you should find it.
Thieves obviously know all this, so wiping it is the first thing, they'd do.....
