How does iMessage work outside of the United States

I'm going to be in Canada and I have an iphone 4 through verizon with unlimited data and texting. Will i be able to use iMessage in Canada without being charged any fee for being out of the US? If so what do i need to do?

If you will not have Wi-Fi where you are staying, then you would have to set up international roaming with Verizon, and yes, it will cost more.

It will work anywhere, and the warranty is valid world wide. You will probably need to buy some sort of power plug adapter for the USA two-pronged power plug into whatever country socket you intend visiting.

Just like wjosten said, Change the Password for your AppleID.
Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
Click on Security and Password. It'll ask you two security questions that you orginal answered.
On the next page is where you can change the password, change it.
Now go to icloud.com and sign in, with the new password of course.
Go to Find My iPhone. Click on the iPhone 5s, even if it's off line.
Click on Lost Mode and enter a new 4 digit password. One that they won't be able to guess.
Now it's a paper weight.

I do not know for certain it works or whether the localisations limit that, but keep in mind siri sends a lot of data back and forth (all the digital voice processing is done on Apple's servers, not the device itself). Unless you were somewhere with free wifi, I would expect use of siri to rack up a huge data roaming bill.

Using Siri to send text/make phone calls does work outside of the USA but you will not be able to use gps/location service with siri

The AirPort Extreme is a router which works worldwide, so you won't have any problem using it in another country. However, note that some Wi-Fi bands are illegal in some countries, so be careful. Apart from that, there's no a monthly charge because it's just a router

Yes. You most certainly can and it works well. The only thing to remember is that this is iMessage only and not normal text.

I am still learning and understand features related to my iPhone 5th Gen. as well as the software iMessage for the Mac. Im curious to know, if I am sending someone an iMessge and they are long distance ( in my case germany to america) does it cost me anything extra. I have a flat rate plan with vodaphone, and use WiFi in my home.

I can understand how it works on the iPhone but what about the iPad? How do people send messages to me as there is no number connected with the iPad is there?

It will work on you apple I'd, not your phone number. Similar to the way RIM do it on a blackberry, with a unique pin, not number.

Flex Application does not work outside of the default dir

Hi,
I have developed a flex application which calls a http
service and displays the contents in a text area.
This works fine when I execute it from the flex builder or
from the directory where the flex builder stores it.
If I copy the files to any other dir or the server, after
making http call no result is displayed in the text area.
Is there any thing else i need to do other building
application in flex builder for deployment.

How does cloud work out in the australian country where I have very slow upload and download speeds and have unreliable connections?

I really just cant get my head around how cloud works when I have such low access to internet downloads..

Under these conditions no service which relies on using a fair amount of bandwidth is going to work. In your situation you may be able to handle a moderate amount of email, calaendars and contacts, though it will be slow to load; but heavy uploading and downloading of for example images in Photo Stream is likely to take so long as to be impracticable.
