How does Macros help which in Queries ?

Guys ,
I wanted to know in detail about the macros.How does they help which are available in Excel sheet of the Bex analyzer.

A good starting place would be the SAP Help pages on the topic at:
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f1/0a55f9e09411d2acb90000e829fbfe/content.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f1/0a55f9e09411d2acb90000e829fbfe/content.htm</a>
Hope this helps...

  • How does oracle know which AO Framework page or process to execute.

    Hi,
    How does oracle know which AO Framework page or process to execute. I use to think this was defined in the Function definition. But looking through some Function definition in HRMS setup I noticed some of them simply calling the same first page, such as the one below used in many managers menus. This initial page is the page that allows managers to choose the employee they want to work on.
    OA.jsp?akRegionCode=HR_PERSON_TREE_TOP_SS&akRegionApplicationId=800.
    My question is, after executing this initial page, how does Oracle then varies the OA page by the diffferent functions?

    Hi;
    Thanks for sharing
    Please dont forget to change thread status to answered if it possible when u belive your thread has been answered, it pretend to lose time of other forums user while they are searching open question which is not answered,thanks for understanding*

  • How does ISE choose which IP to put in URL redirect response?

    Hello,
    does anyone know how does ISE choose which IP to put in URL redirect response if it has more than one interface with an IP address and all interfaces are enabled in the portal configuration?
    I have a single ISE 1.3 PSN with all four interfaces configured, enabled, each on unique VLAN, and each with unique IP address.
    In the CWA portal configuration, all four interfaces are enabled.
    Wired clients connect to NAD, NAD sends RADIUS request to ISE, ISE responds with a RADIUS response including the URL-Redirect parameter which specifies the web redirect URL. ISE configuration uses "ip:port" in the URL.
    My question is how does ISE choose which of its four interfaces to put in this URL? Is it always the same interface that RADIUS packets were received on? Or does it always choose the first portal enabled interface? Or is there another logic? Configurable or unconfigurable?
    Thanks!

    ISE uses the first interface enabled for that portal, so if want to use a specific interface, then only enable that interface.  If interface is GE0, then default behavior is to redirect with ip value set to node's FQDN.  If interface other than GE0, then default behavior is to return the IP address of the associated interface.
    Aliases can be configured for each interface using the CLI 'ip host' command to associate a hostname/FQDN to the IP address of a given interface.  When configured, ISE will return that value rather than IP address in redirect.  This is critical if want to avoid certificate trust warning on connecting clients.
    Be sure that certificate assigned to interface includes the correct FQDN or optionally wilcard value in the CN or SAN fields to avoid cert warnings.

  • How does Mail decide which outgoing SMTP server to use?

    I have Mail setup with two accounts - one for home use and one for work.  Each has its own outgoing SMTP server.  My question: how does mail decide which outgoing server to use?  I don't want to mix work and home stuff.
    Specifically, what happens in these three scenarios?
    1) I compose a new mail.  Does it always use the first account's outgoing SMTP server or does Mail look at the recipient's domain and base its decision on that?
    2) I reply to a work email.  Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the work outgoing SMTP server?
    3) I reply to home email.  Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the home outgoing SMTP server?
    Any information is much appreciated.
    Tom

    Hi Juergen,
    Thanks for the suggestion - I had to "Customize" the viewable header to include the "From:" ("Von:") line to see who I was sending as.  As far as the "use this SMTP only" checkbox is concerned - they're checked on both my accounts - so I'm not sure how much of an impact that has.  To be honest, I thought this checkbox was meant to limit your outgoing mail (for that account) to this mail server only.  I thought that if it was not checked, Mail will try to send the mail via another SMTP server if the one for this account is not reachable.....after all, why else would Apple allow you to check both servers' "use this SMTP only" checkbox?
    But this is good enough for me - now I can see who i'ms ending as.
    Thanks,
    tom

  • How does Leopard decide which Space to present at startup?

    When starting up, Mac goes to Space 2. Would like it to go to Space 1. How does Mac decide which Space and how do I change it to Space 1? Thanks.

    Do you have an app that is assigned to Space 2 that is also in Login Items (starts automatically upon login)?
    If not... Maybe if you disabled Spaces, restarted at least once, and then enabled Spaces, it will go back to starting up on Space 1.
    If you have an app that you always open in Space 1, assign it to Space 1 and also put it in Login Items.

  • How to find out which abap queries were executed by a user

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    Is there a way to find out which abap queries were executed by an end user in the recent past??
    1.I tried using the t-code "stat" BUT:
    dont seem to be getting any results even though I put the start time almost 2 months back.
    2.Also when using STAT, I give the report name of the query in the program field but it seems to truncate it.
    Any ideas how can I find out which abap queries were executed by the end user.
    thanks a lot, I'll make sure to award points for your help.

    STAT will give you the information for a limited period of time and is limited to the server which you are logged onto yourself. Beyond 24 hours it is of even less use even if you change the selection screen values.
    If you want it for a period way back into the past, then you need to use ST03N.
    There are at least 2 dependencies and 1 confusion:
    1 dependency) The length of period is determined by the size (length) of the file. You can change this in ST03N (default 50MB) via the menu settings.
    2 dependency) The stat collector jobs need to be scheduled to write the information to ST03N (once per hour is a legal requirement in some non-banana republic countries).
    1 confusion) There is an obscure function which converts a report submit to a transaction name (there is not much difference anyway) and an even more obsure one which filters what ST03N will record and therefore whether you can read it. You can (un)filter these things away if you search the SAP Marketplace for the term "MONI".
    What is of particular value from this control is that you can even detect a submission of an abap which only existed temporarily.
    Also note that having this information is potentially very powerfull with respect to the users (some of them are human too), so you should expose and use it responsibly.
    You should also ensure that only responsible users / auditors have access to S_TOOLS_EX.

  • How does j_security_check know which page to redirect to?

    Hi All,
    I have implemented j_security_check in our weblogic web app successfully.
    What I would like to know is following the authentication and authorization via the container, how does it know to redirect the user to index.jsp?
    For example, we have login.jsp which contains the j_username and j_password fields, and the action is j_security_check. After the user hits submit and the container authenticates them, how does it know to then direct them to index.jsp? Is it because the welcome tag in web.xml is set up to direct them to index.jsp?
    <welcome-file-list>
    <welcome-file>index.jsp</welcome-file>
    </welcome-file-list>
    Thats the only thing i can think of!
    Thanks in advance.

    That's correct.
    You are specifying a login page, which will ONLY be accessed when the user attempts to view a secured resource.
    After logging in, they will see the page they were originally trying to get to.
    They will only be forced to go to the login page if you secure the page they are trying to get to:
    <security-constraint>
         <web-resource-collection>
              <web-resource-name>Resources</web-resource-name>

    <role-name>NTSB Users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>

    We have 4 Macs, each having a Time Machine backup file on an external Time Capsule.

    Before "you" start an instance you set env variable ORACLE_SID. This identifies an instance. When you go into sqlplus and issue STARTUP, Oracle starts the instance named by the sid. Thus the instance running on the server is controlled by you. This changes as noted below.
    If you were using a non-Oracle tool to start instances, such as Veritas, then you would see it start the instance you coded into the tool. It would not randomly pick an instance. It looks in the Veritas config file and sees that you always want instance 1 on this node and instance 2 on that node.
    That said, you can make Oracle more random or "grid" like. 10g RAC done Oracle's way likes to bounce around between primary and secondary nodes. To see which instances are running on a node you can "ps -ef | grep pmon". Alternatively, use sqlplus to look in the database: view gv$instance gives you each instance name paired with the name of the host it is currently running on. There is one line of output per instance currently running.

  • Static Files with same name. How does apex determine which files to serve?

    Hello, I'm using apex 4.2.1.00.08 and I cannot figure out how apex manages the static files and cannot find any help in the docs (other that some high level UI description).
    The application is serving some file and I cannot find which one it is in any easy way.
    I have a workspace where there are several files that have the same name, and I cannot understand how apex figures out which one to serve, and also don't understand what is value of associating a file with an application.
    There are files associated with application 0, which don't appear to show up in the "shared components", but can be seen as
    SELECT *
    FROM wwv_flow_files
    WHERE flow_id = 0;
    and can apparently only be deleted using "SQL Commands" inside apex.
    the URL called is something like
    wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=13498126233076320&p_fname=myfile.css
    so apparently the only parameters that matter are the workspace and the file name. The associated application is irrelevant.
    apparently files linked to flow_id 0 have precedence over all the other files ...
    Thanks for clearing up a bit of "fog" on this issue.

    VC wrote:
    Go to that application > shared components > Static files you should see the file.the problem is that there are multiple files with that name, and that sometimes the file being served is linked to application "0" and it doesn't show in the "shared components" interface ...
    I have a workspace where there are several files that have the same name, and I cannot understand how apex figures out which one to serve, and also don't understand what is value of associating a file with an application.Static files can be uploaded to apex with optionally associating with an application within that workspace.
    Files associated with an application are referenced using *#APP_IMAGES#*
    Files not associated with an application are referenced using *#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#*I referenced with #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#, but now I see that if I use #APP_IMAGES# the URL generated will also contain the application ID. This would help to discriminate between different files with the same name but linked to different applications ...
    There are files associated with application 0, which don't appear to show up in the "shared components", but can be seen asWhy are you particularly interested in application 0?Because somehow APEX puts the files that I uploaded there ... they can be seen selecting from wwv_flow_files. Do they take precedence over all other files with the same name?
    Filename is unique for the given workspace[and application]I disagree. I have multiple files with the same name ... the root of this problem ...
    so apparently the only parameters that matter are the workspace and the file name. The associated application is irrelevant.How is your static file referenced??
    But not always, try associating an static file with and application and reference it using #APP_IMAGES# instead of #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#
    See
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35125/concept_sub.htm#BEIDCGAJ
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35125/ui_file_manage.htm#HTMDB06011
    Thanks, but the documentation doesn't give much details ... apparently files referenced with #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# can still resolve to files linked to specific applications ... I would like to understand the actual workflow for the various cases (file references with APP_IMAGES, referenced with WORKSPACE_IMAGES, file associated with the application, with another application, with no application, with application "0" ...).
    Also, I find it somewhat misleading that you can have files associate with applications that don't exist anymore (e.g. have been deleted).

    Tried to down load GPSLite .  It said Unable to Download App.  It said I ned to log in to the ITune Store on my computer. How will that help?

    Assuming you have an iPad wi-fi+3G, were you connected to an available wi-fi network when attempting to download the application?
    Regardless, installing such a large app on your iPad is probably best via the iTunes sync process which might be required with such a large app.

  • How does RAC determine which instance number to run on which node

    Good afternoon
    I am trying to script a process and I need to identify how RAC decides which node runs which instance. Is it the first one of the pair added to the cluster that runs node 1 or is there some other piece of information that I need to work this out

  • How does Toplink know which Pool to use ?

    We have two pools defined in sessions.xml as below
    default has is-read-connection-pool false and one with true. We are not specifying to use read pool or default pool in our app anywhere, which we can while acquireClientSession("pool name"), but we are not. Does TL automatically decide to use which pool to use ?
              <connection-pool>
                   <is-read-connection-pool>false</is-read-connection-pool>
                   <name>default</name>
                   <max-connections>10</max-connections>
                   <min-connections>10</min-connections>
              </connection-pool>
              <connection-pool>
                   <is-read-connection-pool>true</is-read-connection-pool>
                   <name>Read Pool</name>
                   <max-connections>15</max-connections>
                   <min-connections>15</min-connections>
              </connection-pool>

    When using TopLink's internal connection pooling:
    READING: session.acquireClientSession() will acquire a read connection for the client session from the default read connection pool. Having multiple read connection pools and providing the pool name in the acquire is very uncommon.
    WRITING: When a UnitOfWork requires a connection for writing it will acquire a connection from the write connection pool.
