How does non-US citizen use iTunesConnect to publish iBook?

I want to publish an iBook using the iTunesConnect service. But when signing up, it asks for my US Tax ID. As a non-US citizen, I obviously don't have one of these. Does this mean I can't use the service?
Is there a way around this problem?

This thread talks about how you get the ID required.

How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion?  I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8) since November until now.  Mail will no longer download on the MacBook Pro and keeps asking for my password.

Mail should still be usable with your machine - but you'll need to update the settings to conform to the requirements of your system. Check with your ISP (like ATT, etc.) for the settings that will work with your Mail. Once you've updated this, you should be able to email like before.
For example, my ISP required that I go to Mail Preferences/Accounts and make sure the details conform to your email settings.
I have no idea of what your ISP is or what the settings might be, but this is likely the source of the problem.

"How does UCCX manage it’s database connections – a connection pool manager / single connection / single connection for each call"
Does anyone actually know ?  Is it documented anywhere?
Based on how the steps work I'd guess that the UCCX engine makes a new single DB connection each time the DB step reaches out the DB for a read/write. I assume it would do this independently for every instance of a script running.  Hence the importance of the DB release step I'm guessing.
I know in the DB subsystem you can configure the maximum number of DB connections to be used but this doesn't imply how they are used.
I'm not a DB guy, but I think the concern stems from the potential load on a DB server with the constant opening and closing of the DB connections.  I'm assuming that if it used a connection pool the UCCX engine would open, and keep open, a group of DB connections to be used by the UCCX engine. This would lessen the load on the DB server I'm assuming.
Is there any fundamental difference with UCCX 8 and the DB access ?  It obviously not ODBC anymore.  It JDBC right ? But again how does the UCCX engine use the DB connection?

To my knowledge, this is not documented; however, at least through 7.0 the MIVR subsystem will open a pool of ODBC connections equal to the maximum you defined and keep them open. If you set it to 50, you will see 50 open connections on the SQL server. Each script that is triggered will attach to one of the available connections as soon as you use a DB-related step and keep it until you use a DB Release step. Once that script instance releases it, the connection is available for another script.
The behavior should not change with 8.0 as it is the same MIVR subsystem that is doing the work. My first CCX 8.0 project that needs database integration is still about 30 days away so I can't guarantee that though.

  • How does the predator AG3 used the 128 GB ssd and the 2TB hdd together

I am contemplating buying a Predator AG3 from Costco.  It comes with 128b ssd and a 2tb Hdd.  How does the system use the two in combination?  Is the ssd only for booting?  Will Windows be on the SSD.  Will the system know to go to the HDD for programs not on the SSD?  I have no experience in using a system with two different type drives.

SSD is normally used as OS installation and some heavy load programs (video - audio - image editing)HDD is used as data storage or to install big size programs (mostly games). System doesn't know where you want to install things so, it asks during installation example C:\Program Files\gamenameXYZyou can tell the installer to use the HDD instead of C: on SSD so you will change C to D (if your HDD has D: as system letter)D:\Program Files\gamenameXYZ

  • How does one get to use their apple id for the first time?

I registered for an Apple ID, which was successsful, but i can't seem to use it, because everytime i try to use it on iTunes it says I have never used this account before, and directs me to the review option which i select but it does the same thing all over again and I can't upgrade to the latest version, because System Preference is failing to open when I try to open the **** thing

    Hi RegoAntony,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of what you are describing. If you are trying to use your Apple ID for the first time in the iTunes Store, you may find the following article helpful:

    Hi all,
I have recently created a document using Preview...The document includes text that I inserted using the text tool within Preview itself...I was able to edit these text windows quite freely during the creation of the document...
However, today I have opened my Preview document only to find that the usual method of clicking on the text is failing and that I cannot edit those very same text windows anymore...How is this so and how can I edit them once again?
Any help muchly appreciated, thank you!

    Dear Terence Devlin,
    Thank you for your reply!
Unfortunately I'm still unable to edit the text...When I select the 'View' menu; the 'Highlights and Notes' is greyed out and therefore unable to be selected.

  • How does the transaction type use?

    Hi everybody:
A question often comes out of my mind, it makes me confused.
When you post a accounting document in Asset module by using f-91.... input a transaction type in it, then the system can post to an G/L account for you. I wanna know how the transaction type links to a general ledger account?
and I guess there must have some relations between the transaction type (maybe transaction type group) and AO90 configration.
Any help will be really appreciated

    Hi expert
I m a newcomer,so my expression may be ambiguous, sorry about that
As U said that Here u mention the GL accounts against which ur acquistion, depreciation, sale of asset , scrape, loss/gain on sale of asset are maintained.
I still dont kown How a GL Acc in AO90 i.e acquistion links to a transaction type(or transaction type group). U know there are lots of GL Accounts in AO90 acquistion group. When  I post a doc in fi, which Acc is chosen by the system? and how?
    Regards,

  • How does one sync or use an external hard drive with Aplle TV?

I have a 1 terabyte hard drive loaded with mp4 movies. I'd like to have my itunes library read from it and display these movies on my TV. can i do this without moving my entire itunes library to the external drive and if so how can it be done?

another option, of course, would be to press option while dragging the content from the HD into an open iTunes window. this will cause iTunes to index the path to the original's location - same effect as unticking +copy to+... in the advanced preference pane.
foolproof method if you don't want to (or forget to) check the settings when adding new content ...

  • How does Persona differ from using LastPast for site passwords?

I can't tell if Persona is an improvement or just another way to accomplish the same thing.

Persona is a login authentication service. It is something a website has to implement. It is totally different than lastpass, which is simply a password storage service.
Are you talking about Sync maybe? Sync is a way for you to store and synchronize your Firefox data (including but not limited to passwords) across multiple devices. [[How do I set up Firefox Sync?]] In that respect it is equivalent to lastpass.

  • How does iPhoto back up using time machine if the library is on and external drive

I'm looking to store my iPhoto library on an external Lacie media drive so I have a central point for images. I intend to do the same with my iTines library although I understand there will be less availabitlity for the music.
    My question is.
If the library is stored externally does that mean that Time Machine will not back these files up and will I have to have to have a 3rd party software to back the Lacie media drive up for safety?
    Regards Graeme

Yes - unless you exclude it - check the TM preferenced to see what is being excluded
and what format is the Lacie media drive? the iPhoto library MUST always be on a drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled)

  • How does the choice of folio name affect publishing

Getting ready to publish for the first time and wondering how the folio name or the publication name affects anything going to apple. I am guessing the publication name and folio number live on in the app navigation, but not sure about the folio name. Also, it seems the screen names for the app is limited to 12 characters or so on the iPad--I am assuming you name the app when you go to the app store to publish?
    Thanks in advance.

The Folio Name is used internally -- it appears in the panel, but not in the viewer. The Folio Name is useful for tasks such as setting up folio renditions and linking across folios. The Publication Name and Folio Number appear in the viewer app library and in browsing structures such as the table of contents and browse mode. If you look in the library of The New Yorker app, they use "The New Yorker" for the Publication Name and "October 13, 2012" for the Folio Number. (In my DPS Tips app, I reverse it by using the folio name for Publication Name and the app name for Folio Number for aesthetic reasons. You can use these settings however you want.)
You specify the app name when you build the app in Viewer Builder. You can use about 13 characters, more if the characters are skinny ("Illial") and fewer if the characters are wide ("WOWZOW").

  • HT5071 How does Apple decide when a book - created in iBooks Author - is free versus when it is paid?

I am considering creating a book made with iBooks Author but have a couple of unanswered questions. What determines how Apple chooses whether my book can make it into the ranks of being a paid book? In other words, I don't want to put a whole bunch of time and effort into creating a book that I want to sell, only to have Apple decide that the book can only be downloaded for free. Is there a way to guarantee that my book will be eligible to sell (as opposed to giving it away for free)? What are the requirements for creating a paid book in iBooks Author?

    There are no guarantees.
I'm not sure, however, that if Apple decided it wasn't fit for publishing under a paid contract that they would then turn around and accept it as free, sorry. There are too many details involved and I'd think if you want it in the store you'd work to make it acceptable all around.
See Apple - iTunes - Partner Programs - Book Publishers for publishing details.
