How does on remove or damage unicode layer in PDF. format?

Pdfs consist of 2 layers one being unicode map the other gylph map. Unicode stores all kinds of information, the one that you use to copy and paste the text with and gylph is essentially the way the text looks, thus if you delete unicode or damage it somehow you will protect your file from being copied somewhere (excluding ocr) but the text in the file will still look the way it is supposed to. Just like in the picture below. So the question remains: how does one remove unicode in PDF in order to protect the file from being copied anywhere? Thank you for your input!

I don´t know how to make this work. I would open the OSS message for this and want SAP to give a workaround or say clearly this cannot be done. Well... in one of the mentioned threads it is mentioned that SAP said this is the right behavior but there was not a word about if that can be changed.

p.s.: probably it would be better for you to send only RAW data (i mean only XML data) and make the partner work with it. If the PDF is converted to "something" by a machine, then you don´t need PDF (what is a user GUI), to send only the data should suffice, or not?

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

Each of those entries at the RSS site show up in my Firefox RSS folder twice. The content of each entry when I go to it is exactly the same. It's not that one is the reply to the original post or anything like that. For instance, see the attached image of the list of items that show up. The highlighted yellow on top is an example. Both of those links display exactly the same original post and replies. Why is that? Is is possible that somehow I'm subscribed twice? Does that make sense? You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.
There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.
If Yahoo has been set as the default search in the search bar, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Search bar]].
If the address bar search has been changed as well, you might want to take a look at [[Location bar search]].
If that doesn't work you should look at the article [[Preferences are not saved]].

You can't, no, and no. Acrobat is not a word processor, and trying to use it as if it is will lead to enormous frustration and disappointment. Maybe you need to convert this document to Word if you want to do this sort of editing, but don't expect fancy layout to be preserved.

It's probably worth adding to try67's suggestion above that, if you're using the first option, you need to make sure the page display is continuous. (If you've got it set to view a single page only, Command+A will only select the fields on the active page.)

Unicode support in PDF format :: Crystal Reports XI R2

We are using crystal reports XI at present. While generating the report using JRC and exporting the same in PDF format does not display the unicode characters (japanese). However, exporting the reports in RTF format or displaying HTML content using crystalviewer displays the unicode data properly.
We have heard that CR XI R2 package does this support in displaying the unicode characters for PDF format.
So we have downloaded the latest files from BO forum and we tried. But the result is the same, it does not display the unicode characters.
Is there any work around to display the japanese characters??
Changing the font type to MS-MINCHO in the respective fields in the RPT object does this trick. But we almost have 35 rpt files and needs to be supported for European and as well asian languages.
Changing for the font type for every reports or keeping different RPT files for differnet languages will be tedious to do.
Is there any JRC method available to set the font type @ runtime?

I'm sorry that your PDF conversion is working. Can you please tell me if you're getting a specific error message? Knowing that can help pinpoint the cause of the conversion failure. However, here are a couple of things that you could try:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser).
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the Internet.
Try another web browser. A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
Also, note that there is a 100MB file size limit, so if your publisher file is larger than that, it won't upload to ExportPDF.
