How does one completely remove unwanted Apps? It seems that prior to IOS 5.0 I could do that and now cann't.

I am totally new to APPLE products and have for years avoided getting anything APPLE due to interface issues with other operations systems. I have unwanted apps and want to completely remove them from my IPhone 3GS with IOS 5.0... I seems that in the past (prior to the IOS 5.0 upgrade) I was able to do this, and now I can't.
Another issue; attempted to download the manual for the IOS 5.0 upgrade, system states that it has downloaded however it's nowhere to be found, hmmmm?

If you delete your games from iTunes and keep them on your phone, when you connect your iDevice it'll sync, if you delete it from your iPhone and leave it on your iTunes, it'll still sync. So if you want to delete all apps, 1 Delete all apps on your iPhone and 2 delete all apps on iTunes as well. How does one completely remove the Contribute add-in from Excel?

This problem is driving me "buggy":
Contribute CS5 installed its add-in toolbar in Excel (2010) on my Win7 (b4-bit) machine. I don't need or want it. Since it was listed as a COM add-in, I "removed" it using File>Options>Add-Ins>Manage COM Add-ins. It was removed from the list of installed add-ins (confirmed by a restart, i.e., no item, no check box), but it was not removed from Excel's Add-Ins list.
I did some searching and found several fora in which it was suggested that renaming the files OfficePlugin.dll and OfficePluginRes.dll would solve the issue. I did, it did not.
More searches yielded a suggestion to deinstall Contribute, which I did. That did not work either. Now I have neither Contribute nor its Excel toolbar components installed, yet its "carcass" remains "perched" on Excel's Add-Ins list like a dead parrot pining for the fjords...
I searched this and other Adobe fora before posting this message, but I was unable to locate this exact issue.
Has anyone encountered this and solved the issue?

ADOBE SUCKS! - Why can't they make it simple for users to uninstall a plug-in that most users don't want or need, and simply find annoying. This is a complete nuisance. Does anyone at Adobe even care???? I'm fed up and pissed off and wish someone in their company would fix it.

You can't permanently delete any items from you purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't show in the Purchased tab for re-downloading : hiding and unhiding.

Did you already try to sync again with your PC? If your data is part of the "Other" section on your phone, you'll have to restore your device to get that space back.

Well, I'm going to go scour the internet for a while and see what kind of tools I can find. I'll come back with a solution eventually, but this is something that apple needs to take care of. To date, the most frightening and inconvinient processes ever performed with apple products are the iTunes sync and upgrade processes. I find it wrong that I would ever have to void my own warranty to deal with something so simple and so common.
Don't get me wrong, I love apple, more than anything, but this is their one big mess up. I pray they figure it out soon.

Apps>Mac or PC
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the app you deleted again (it depends on where you live).

You won't be able to delete the purchase from the Apple ID, but you can hide the purchase:
To hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking on Music, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from top.
Hover your cursor over the item you want to hide.
You will see an "X" either to the right or left top corner of the item.
Click the "X" to hide that item. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the "X."

I would like to know what I need to do to select a folder for my outgoing emails before I send them. In other words, if I am sending a message to someone, Outlook has the option to select the folder where you would like to save the outgoing email to. That way, you are able to document all of your important outgoing emails. I was wondering if Apple mail had the same option. I know you can set rules up, the challenge is that the rules do not always apply depending on the email messages.

You'll can try to sign in with the ID they were purchased under in Settings > iTunes and App store and downlaod them. If not, you'll have to purchase them under the new ID.

In other words, I want to select and crop from a larger image an area such as a rectangle that I define.
Right now, I try to select and crop a rectangular portion of an image but every shape that is even partially within the rectangle is selected both within and without the rectangle.

Then I did:
To really get rid of the outlying parts, with the Clipping Mask still
selected you may:
5) Choose anything but Normal in the Transparency palette dropdown
and Object>Flatten Transparency (just keep the defaults).

It is more convenient to place the rectangle mentioned in 1) on the same layer; if you place the path(s) to define the Clipping Mask, the Clipping Mask and its contents will be on that layer, everything from lower layers being moved to it.
What about 2) - 4)?
It is easier to answer if you state what happens in the individual steps (repeated here):
1) Create a rectangle on top of the image with the same size (you may use the Transform palette/panel to see the size, and to place it by);
2) Create the cutout shape;
3) Select 1) and 2) and Object>Compound Path>Make;
4) Also select the image, and Object>Clipping Mask>Make.
