How does one get the specs

I am looking for the specifications of my powerbook g4... it seems the specs that are on the apple site are somewhat diff than that of my 6 mo old g4.
have looked through apples site and have not found anything... do I need to have my serial number to figure out the exact model?

You can try here. Can't vouch for the accuracy, since it's not an Apple page, but they look pretty authoritative. The October 2005 revision PB specs are first, but if you scroll down, you'll get to your "Book's specs (January 2005 revision).
I don't know why Apple has gotten their collective act together and updated their PowerBook specs page yet. As you've discovered, you still click on the April 2004 link to get to the current PB's specs and there is no link at all for the prior revision.
One would think that Apple would have an accurate and updated product spec page on its own products. But, then again, if one thought that, one would be mistaken.

I have been able to fix the Acrobat issue, but not the PS issue. The final option listed is to reinstall the software. Since my optical drive not longer functions I suppose I will need to have that repaired first… unless you have another suggestion.
While I have your attention, can you please help me resolve a Creative Cloud issue I have been having.
I have been installing CC software successfully until I get to Acrobat XI Pro.
I receive the message, “Please close the following applications to continue: SafariNotificationAgent”
I have followed Adobe online instructions but cannot find where to close this function.
If you can help me with this I will be very grateful.

In mid-December after receiving a shiny new Quad Proc Intel based mac pro, I discovered that my PowerMac version of Final Cut Studio was barely functional on this new hardware. Since I bought the hardware to go faster, it seems Ironic that I can't. I then discovered the cross-grade option - which allows me to package up all of my Install DVD's and send them to some address in the MidWest and wait for my new install DVD's. I don't mind paying the nominal charge for the cross-grade, but I do mind being down for 25 days waiting for the new discs. ARGH!... I have still not received the cross-grade discs and am wondering if there is anyone that can make this process go faster - or tell me where I am in the queue. IMHO, the Intel Binaries for the Pro Applications should have been on the Mac Pro, and the license for the old discs should have at least allowed someone to use the software for a month or so. This really is not cool!.

- Did you sent them registered mail?
- Do you have documentation that they arrived at the fulfillment center?
- If so, the crossgrade web page has links to following up on the status of your order. http://www.apple.com/universal/crossgrade/
- Have you sent them an e-mail following up?
Most folks get their upgrade in 2 weeks or less, so 21 days is moving toward the outside of the envelope. However, if you sent yours in the rush around the end of the original period, you could simply be caught in the mass.

If you mean you don't want to see the stocks at all in notification center go to Settings>Stock Widget and turn Notification Center to Off. If you mean you want to remove some of the individual stocks shown, open the Stocks app, tap the "i " on the bottom right, tap next to the stocks you want to remove, then tap Done.

How does one get huey pro to start up when computer starts in morning

Huey Pro is a sensor that measures and monitors the light in the room so that colors are rendered as acccurately as possible. Once I calibrated the screen and device, it should fire up when I restart the computer but it dos not. the icon in the system folder when clicked, says that the system preference folder needs to restart, the it will fire up.
So How does one get this to start early.

I am not sure that you can make the Huey Pro work correctly.Worked fine on windows but it was the one programme for me that I have never had success with on the Mac.
I have checked the Huey web site for info but the support seems to have stopped.
So the only way I can do it is to wait until the Icon is in the top right section of the screen,note that a white cross is in it and then click on the Icon in the dock open up the programme until the Start bit occurs then just click the close button.That fixes it for me.

Set your ruler increments to pixels Preferences>Units & Increments. You can fill the text box with placeholder text Type>Fill with Placeholder text and get a word count from the Info panel with Show Options turned on from the flyout.
From the Transform panel you can set a text box's width and height

The information side-bar from iPhoto has been removed in Photos App, and so it's been converted into a pop-up window showing both the exposure, aperture and so technical photo parameters, as well as the comments, faces and LOCATION for that photo.
This small floating window is shown whenever you click the button in the app title bar, right clicking a specific photo or pressing ⌘i
If you open the albums view (clicking in the name of the album list, NOT an album name, you can see in your left sidebar - which can be shown or hidden) and press ⌘i without selecting a specific photo the Info pop-up will show the map for your whole library (as well as the total amount of photos, videos, GB used, etc)
So, I'm afraid the "Locations" view (which I really loved) from iPhoto has been ripped off... and we can only get "some sort of locations view" by this method.
As for locations... there is no option for manual geotagging (so, setting location to a specific photography which doesn't have it yet)... that really ****** me off

The "Expert view" is a part of the new interface of Premiere Elements 11. In your version 10, you have the Timeline and the Sceneline view choices.
For now, I will assume that you are in the Timeline view where you utilize video and audio tracks and not a Filmstrip with scene slots.
I suspect that you may be after the following. Let us see.
To the right of where it shows the name "Audio 1" is a microphone icon. That represents the "Audio Display Style". There are two Audio Display Styles and you can select one or the other by toggling that microphone icon.
a. In one instance, you will see the wave form plus a horizontal orange line which is typically the Volume Rubberband for Volume adjust. This Display Style has a light green background.
and
b. In the other case, you will see a dark horizontal line, no wave form. That dark line is on a light green background.
I suspect you are at "b". Are you aware that "a" exists.
If you want a really blown up version of "a" to look at, you could separate the audio from the video, double click the audio to open the Preview Windows, and then scale up the Preview Window.

My original I Phone 5 was running IOS 6.12
My I phone 5S currently runs IOS 8..When I upgraded it, it had IOS 7 on it which made the I Photo app compatible with everything below IOS 8...( which the photo app is not compatible with ) so I just connected the I Phone 5S to my computer and thinking the new phone had IOS 7 on it that these was nothing to worry about..I thought all 900 + pictures in the photo stream would transfer but somewhere in the process, I Tunes decides to just go and install IOS 8 which requires that you run a " Photo Migration App" to transfer photos from IOS 7 & below. The problem was is that I didn't want IOS 8 on my new 5S so I thought I wouldn't have to do that part..
Anyway the phone emerged with IOS 8 on it and the only photos that remained were the ones that were actually on the phone..The 900 + I had in the stream didn't transfer because the Photos that works on IOS 7 and below isn't compatible with IOS 8..I guess you have to use the photo migration app that comes with IOS 8 & I phone 6..But I didn't ask to upgrade to IOS 8...It just did it on it's own!
I still have the I Phone 5 Back up that I did just before giving it back to Verizon but if I try to restore the I Phone 5S running IOS 8 those photos in the stream will not go back on the phone because IOS 8 isn't compatible with the I Photos" that ran on IOS 7 and below..
So I have an I Pad mini that runs IOS 7..should I try and erase it...and put that I Phone 5 backup on it and pray the photos that were in the stream come back on it so I can transfer them back to my computer...then erase the I pad mini again and restore it using it's original backup that I have on the computer and the in the cloud?

In trying to install Snow Leopard ( OSX) which is necessary to update Itunes for my new ipod, it says I don't have sufficient RAM. How does one get RAM? Or do I have to get a new computer?

Note that difference iMac versions have different RAM requirments. They have instructions on the page showing you haw to positively identify your model (note the several links: Where do I find Model ID? ).
The site also has video instructions showing how to install RAM. It's an easy "do-it-yourself" project. that takes maybe ten minutes.
