Hello,
Easiest would be to get an External Hard Drive & clone eerything asap, you can even boot/run from the external, & Firewire would be far faster than USB.
Even if you replace the Internal, you'll need an externsal to clone to first.

    Also, I can never remember if hostname is one of those things you need to reboot for...

    You can't create an iCloud account on a PC. You must create the account on a Mac running Lion or newer, or an IOS device.

    You cannot transfer from the iPhone to the computer.
    You must move the contents of your old computer to the new one directly.
    Use an external hard drive perhaps or restore your old computer backup to your new computer.
    The iPhone is not the source of your data, that is the computer, the iPhone is only a slave device to iTunes.

    There are still many CDs around that are designed to make it difficult to rip, especially those from the Warner Brothers group.
    Some that will not rip on a Windows machine will do OK on a Mac.  If you have access to a Mac try it there, and bring the resulting MP3s back to your Windows machine on a flash drive so you can add them to your iTunes library.

    How full is your drive?  You need at least 10/15% of free space.

    Right now my macbook pro requires an admin password before connecting to a new wifi network. In other words when a user that is not an admin tries to connect to a new wifi network the pop up displays indicating that it is locked and an admin password is required.
    Is there a way to remove this restriction so that a non admin can connect to wifi without the mac's admin password.

    You can enable / disable this option in System Preferences:
    System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab > Require administrator authorization to: Change networks

    As your iTunes is up to date, remove the SC Info folder.
