How does one MAKE a LIBRARY for GARAGE BAND to IMPORT?

I have been looking for some kind of SDK that would allow the creation of a library for GB and allow the sharing of libraries that multiple production teams can use.

So then your question is: How do I script an Installer (?)
More often than not, companies simply create a Disk Image because all you need to install a group of loops is to drop their folder on the GB Loop Browser. That's it.
The Jam packs install a lot more than just loops, so an Installer is required. Adding loops is so simple it's generally hard to justify the extra effort and man power.
However, if you really want to go through the extra effort, and for whatever reason, your project actually requires it, then you might want to become an ADC member:

How to get full sound library for Garage Band

I recently purchased the upgrade for Garage Band on my 06 iMac. I received a huge library of sounds with the upgrade. However, two days later, we had a power spike and I lost that computer. So - I bought a New MacBook Pro Retna with the latest version of Garage Band on it, however, it is missing what seems likes hundreds of real instrument sounds. Any suggestions? Can't seem to find a way to downlod all thode extra great sounds like strings and sound FX.

What kind of upgrade did you buy? Jam Packs for GarageBand, like "Symphony Orchestra"? They are not included in the preinstalled version that comes with a new mac.

Are loops missing or instruments? If loops are missing, do they appear to greyed out in the loop browser? If they are greyed out, have you pressed the little arrow to the right of the loop name, to download the additional content?
To be able to download the additional content, you have to accept the preinstalled iLife to your AppleID at the AppStore. Sign into the AppStore, go to the "Purchased" tab - "Accept" section, and press the "Accept" button for your iLife apps.

How does one transfer CS5 actions for use with CS6?

CS6 installation, which was uneventful, has transferred none of my actions from my copy of CS5. The CS5 actions are located in the actions folder of the APPLICATION/PHOTOSHOP CS5/PRESETS/ACTIONS. The "actions" folder in application support/adobe in my library is empty, and has always been so.
Only the CS6 default actions are located in the same folder for CS6.
I use imac i7, lion.
Note that i also have CS3 and CS4 on my machine. This due to recent upgrade to CS5 and recent upgrade to LION, and my general paranoia.
Must i load each action into CS6, one at a time?

On a Mac - There are multiple ways to do this. I have done them both ways. In order to do this you need to know where you have your actions stored, and you can move them all at once if you have them stored in the same location.
1. You can load an action ONE AT TIME into your actions palette by:
     A. Open up the action palette and click on the little arrow with 4 little horizontal lines next to it on the upper right corner of the actions palette.
     B. Select "Load Actions" and a Finder window will open up and you can search your computer through this window for your actions.
     C. Click on the action from the Finder window then click 'Open' at the bottom right of the finder window.
     D. To save these so that they appear every time you open up your actions palette, go back to the little arrow at the top right of the actions palette and when the drop down window opens- click on 'Save Actions'. It will select the location where the          actions are currently stored as the place to save them. If you want to change that path, you can do it at this time in the little path window. I just leave it, since I keep all my actions stored in the same file.
2. TO MOVE MULTIPLE ACTION SETS AT ONCE
     A. Open up CS6 (or CS5) and move the Photoshop workspace it to the right side of your computer screen so you can see your desktop on the left side.
     B. Open up your Finder search window from your dock (the square blue head icon thingy for those who are new to photoshop). Move this to the left side of your screen so you can see the Photoshop work space on the right and the Finder window          on the left. In the Finder window, navigate to the file where all your actions are stored, select all the actions in the file (command+A will select everything in the file if you are actively inside the open file) or you can select multiple files           individually by continuously holding down the command key and clicking on the different actions you want to move.
     C. With the Photoshop workspace visible on the right, and the actions palette open so you can see that the actions actually transferred - In the Finder window, click the selected actions you want to load and drag them over to the Photoshop           workspace. I did this without an image open, I just dragged them onto the empty workspace. The actions should all appear immediately in the actions palette that is open.
     D. To save these so that they appear every time you open up your actions palette, go back to the little arrow at the top right of the actions palette and when the drop down window opens click on 'Save Actions'. It will select the location where the           actions are stored as the place to save them. If you want to change that path, you can do it at this time in the little path window. I just leave it, since I keep all my actions stored in the same file.

Certainly, the Apple website and associated instructions have become, for this long-time user, more akin to Microsoft Windows in their impenetrable lack of intuitive, user-friendly ccharacter.

I have been having this issue for months, now--at least 3-4. I updated my credit card info on my account, thinking maybe that would do it, but NOPE--can't review a single thing I've ever purchased in iTunes--not from my iPhone 5, PC or iPad 2. GB has two "modes": In "musical time" the units of the timeline are bars and beats, in "real time", they're seconds. You can switch between them by clicking the clock/note symbols near the play button.
"Snap to grid" only works in the musical time mode.
An Apple Loop is always supposed to be an integer number of measures long. So if you're in 4/4 it can be 1, 2, 3 ... measures (which is 4, 8, 12 ... beats) long. Since the concept of loops is to be in rhythm with the beat of your song, this makes sense - so it is assured that the "one" of a drum loop, e.g., always sits on the "one" of a measure.
If your loop is only half a measure long, you can double it to make a full bar. If your loop is not in rhythm at all with a beat - well, then it probably doesn't make sense to turn it into a loop that adjusts to the tempo in the first place. You can still turn it into a "static" kind of loop.

Be very careful.
Only the last 1000 photos maximum are stored in iCloud and for a maximum of 30 days.
In the new version of iCloud Photo Library (which is in Beta) it will keep all photos, but you are not using that version yet as you need iOS 8 installed to do that.
The best thing to do is connect your iPhone to your computer and transfer the photos from the photo to your computer.

How does one make a PLAF

I understand that to make a custom LAF, all you need to do is extend one of the standard LAFs, but how do you describe how things are to look (and feel)? What I mean is if you want you text fields to have rounded corners, how do you go about having it show up in such a way?

I don't know if this will help, but since you mentioned it will be an app mostly used on a Windows platform, I figured I'd mention this. By default swing uses the MetalLookAndFeel. But the sdk comes with other look and feels. There is one for Motif and Windows (the windows one only works on Windows platforms "for copyright reasons, it does not run on any other operating system" - Java Foundation Classes in a Nutshell). Now if you want a quick and dirty way to change the look and feel of everything to look like windows, try this.
When you start your app, instead of using a bare java invocation, try
java -Dswing.defaultlaf=com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsLookAndFeel yourAppHere
you also might want to poke around the javax/swing/plaf/metal subdirectory of the source shipped with the sdk. Metal is the default theme, as I mentioned, and all the functionality is in the classes contained in that directory. Hope this helped.

Have flash installed - works great - except I want it to resolve to different URL when finished. A second option is to see the window go away and the HTML appear underneath.
I have already used the transparent and this does not work. For some reason, it makes its own window and pushes the HTML down and after it runs, one must scroll down to read the index page.

you can fade anything in flash with actionscript. but to fade the browser window that contains flash and your popup (or popunder), you'll need to use javascript and/or dhtml or something else and the browser fades are problematic if you want your code to work across a range of browser types.

I am a relatively new Apple user and I purchased an iCloud account in November and then another one in December, thinking that I needed an account for each of my devices (3). When I found out this was the case I tried to reply to the email confirmation address for a refund and it came back as undeliverable. Tried to contact support but in order to talk to anybody I had to pay 20 dollars!! Why is it so hard to buy into it but oh so hard to get a refund?

IMO opendns is either doing this on purpose (unlikely) or they're under some sort of attack/being used to attack the specific torrent sites although I'm open to other explanations. I believe using the automatic setting for DNS is using my own ISP's DNS servers (which again, work fine... but still...)

The brush size is measured in pixels. The maximum is 1,000 px. If you have any pixel-filtering turned on, the maximum size drops to 200 px. In the Brush HUD, make sure "Detect Edges" is un-checked, and that "Brush Range" is "All".

After Installing Drivers, how does one make trackpad work?

If things are installed correctly, the trackpad settings are in the Boot Camp Control Panel icon (the grey diamond in the taskbar). The options are limited to controlling tap click, double-tap right-click, and dragging.
I've been looking for a way to adjust the click sensitivity (double-tap is a bit too sensitive) but I can't seem to find a setting for it.
