Hello,
I'm able to connect to the iTunes Store. I'm even able to download individual songs. But when I download albums, I get several messages that the network connection has timed out.
When playing those songs, they stop short in the middle of the song and simply skip to the next one.
How can I identify all the songs that didn't fully download, and how can I download them fully?
I paid for them; I'd like to have them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Since your ISP (Road Runner) controls your public routable IP address, you need to contact them to change the PTR record. This addresses the public DNS. If you are using the internal DNS on your server, it should already have the correct PTR record configured with the private IP address of your server.

How does one delete photos from Premier Elements?

Hello!
I am trying to delete my photos from Adobe (I think Premier) Elements. I am also trying to delete the albums.
I think I have 667 photos on it, and may 30 albums.
When I select photos and then click delete, message comes up: The request operation could not be completed because the catalog is currently locked by another process.
Also, in selecting some photos to delete, it says to reconnect to photo source. It would take way too long to go through entire photo collection and reconnect photos to source.

Need to update to iOS5 or iOS6 put upon doing so, it stated it will erase all my Apps and Content. I have a years worth of notes in Note Taker HD.......do not want to lose.....any options?

Well, I'm going to go scour the internet for a while and see what kind of tools I can find. I'll come back with a solution eventually, but this is something that apple needs to take care of. To date, the most frightening and inconvinient processes ever performed with apple products are the iTunes sync and upgrade processes. I find it wrong that I would ever have to void my own warranty to deal with something so simple and so common.
Don't get me wrong, I love apple, more than anything, but this is their one big mess up. I pray they figure it out soon.

I am capturing my footage on a Panasonic hdc-tm15 full hd 1920x1080 avchd. The format recorded is not compatible with fce so i have to import to imovie first. what export settings do i need to use to ensure i dont lose quality when going from imovie to fce?

It is suggested to output MOV with AIC codec to keep the raw video quality at max.

How does one create a video cross dissolve without an audio cross fade in FCP-X??

Greetings:
This is a no brainer in 'legacy' Final Cut, but I am completely stumped in FCP-X. Situation is thus:
Main story line consists of a speaker. I would like to drop stills onto/into the storyline while the speaker continues uninterrupted. I've tried connecting to the storyline, overwriting to the storyline, creating a secondary storyline, creating transitions with available media, with full overlap -- all for naught. The outgoing bits of the cross dissolve have a weird audio hiccup that I cannot get rid of. I simply want to fade a still in and fade it out (I appreciate I could keyframe opacity with a still connected to the main storyline, but that seems slightly nuts -- this should be a keystroke). I am assuming I'm missing something -- possibly something really simple, so, apologies for being a dolt, but I could really use a hand here.

Detach the audio using Control-Click. The audio will then have its own fade that you can adjust. If you want to cross fade audio clips just overlap another audio clip by placing it below the first audio clip. Overlap can be adjusted for the amount of time you want for a dissolve. You can also pull the fade control in the vertical middle of the end of each audio clip to make an audio fade in/out. Holding that fade control while pressing the Control key gives you the option to select different types of fade curves. Hope this helps.

Hi JohnDory,
The information side-bar from iPhoto has been removed in Photos App, and so it's been converted into a pop-up window showing both the exposure, aperture and so technical photo parameters, as well as the comments, faces and LOCATION for that photo.
This small floating window is shown whenever you click the button in the app title bar, right clicking a specific photo or pressing ⌘i
If you open the albums view (clicking in the name of the album list, NOT an album name, you can see in your left sidebar - which can be shown or hidden) and press ⌘i without selecting a specific photo the Info pop-up will show the map for your whole library (as well as the total amount of photos, videos, GB used, etc)
So, I'm afraid the "Locations" view (which I really loved) from iPhoto has been ripped off... and we can only get "some sort of locations view" by this method.
As for locations... there is no option for manual geotagging (so, setting location to a specific photography which doesn't have it yet)... that really ****** me off

You can also use the shape tool to draw a shape roughly following the outline of the graphic you want to wrap text around, change the fill and stroke to "none", then paste your text within the shape. It's a few more steps, but it opens you up to many creative alternative layouts.

Many of the mp3 files that I use are ones that I create myself for my students. It would be great if I could drag them into the correct album without having to type in the information (very tedious).

I'm a high school music teacher and a lot of the tracks are student-created (or instructor-created). It has always been easier for me to leave the mp3 tag "unknown" and then drag them to the appropriate album in Windows Media Player.
I actually took something from your reply that I think will work well. By adding newly created files to a playlist, I could select them and then edit the tag data every few days by selecting all of the items in the playlist (I think that will work!).

Are you submitting a print or a file?
You set the size of your print in the print dialog.
You set the number of pixels (the unit of linear measurement of digital images is the pixel) for a file when you create that file by exporting an Image from your Library. You can specify a recommended number of Pixels per Inch by using the (mis-named) DPI field in the Image Export Preset you use when you export.
The files you import have a height and width in pixels. Height/width = the Aspect Ratio. You can crop to any aspect ratio using Aperture's Crop tool.
