How does Outlook determine a calendar entry is 'Out of Date'

I'm currently migrating into my new Office 365 tenant and am experiencing the ios 8 corruption issues.
Outlook clients show recurring meeting updates as 'Out Of Date' and will not apply them to the meeting.
What does outlook do to calculate the age of a meeting update

Hi,
There are some known Calendar issue with Exchange ActiveSync for ios 8:
http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3015401/en-us
It is not recommended to user ActiveSync device to edit/change/accept/remove/forward Calendar items. Please refer to the following KB for some issue caused by the third-party devices:
https://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2563324/en-us
Additionally, the article below also describes the following scenarios in which the Calendar items may become out of date:
•You forward a meeting request.
•You use Outlook Web Access to accept a meeting.
•You do not click "Send Update" when you change a meeting that you organize.
•You do not process a meeting request in the Inbox.

Please check it for your causes. If you still have any question about the calendar issue in your Office 365, we can ask a question in Exchange Online forum for more suggestion:

  • How does one remove double calendar entries?

I have been getting some calendar events as doubles on my iPhone 4 after syncing in iTunes. The prompt for "reviewing the event doesn't always appear. How do I fix it so that the window to choose which version of an event to keep, appears?
And why are there sometimes 2 copies of an event on my iPhone?
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks

I just upgraded to the new mobile me calendar and now all my calendar entries on iCal have been erased. As I type this the calendar entries are still on the mobile me and iphone calendars. How do I restore the calendar entries to iCal?

Please always post your System details when you have a query. The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3397
Leopard: when the upgrade is completed iCal on Leopard will not be able to see the MobileMe calendars until an additional process is carried out, detailed in this Apple Tech Note:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4330
Tiger: iCal on Tiger cannot read the MobileMe calendars, period. The only workaround is to upgrade to Leopard, or Snow Leopard if possible (Intel Mac required).

This may be a basic question... but in InDesign, how does one determine the pixel size of a text box? Specifically, we need to write text to specifications of 600 pixel width, and have no idea a) how to scale a text box to specific pixel width, b) how to determine what word count we can fit in, and c) how to do it in a table? Thanks!

Set your ruler increments to pixels Preferences>Units & Increments. You can fill the text box with placeholder text Type>Fill with Placeholder text and get a word count from the Info panel with Show Options turned on from the flyout.
From the Transform panel you can set a text box's width and height

  • How does vendor determine if no info record is maintained for the material

how does vendor determine if no info record is maintained for the material

    Hi
If you have to determine a vendor, the minimum requirement is Info record. Beyond that, you can ofcourse maintain Source Lists, Quota Arrangements but Info record is bare minimum for automatic determination of vendor.
Otherwise, you have to maintain the vendor manually in th Purchasing docs.
Tcodes for Info record are ME11, ME12, and ME13.
    Hope this clarifies.
    Thanks

  • How does SharePoint determine files are duplicates in search results?

In the search results, some files are grouped as duplicates (a hyperlink view duplicates appears under the search result).
How does SharePoint determines that 2 files are duplicates?
How does SharePoint determines the one that is shown in the search result (the 'main' file)?
    Can we influence both?
    Patrik | My Blog

I don't know if this helps, but I've been looking into the same problem that's come to light a few times during troubleshooting customised deployments of SharePoint recently.  This is my understanding so far (paraphrased from http://blogs.technet.com/harikumh/archive/2008/11/14/some-interesting-facts-about-sharepoint-2007-search.aspx):
Document similarity or matching for the purposes of identifying duplicates is based only on a hash of the content of the document.  None of the file properties are used in calculating the hash (i.e. things like filename, author, create and modify dates are not used).  The SQL table MSSDuplicateHashes in the SSP’s search database holds all the 64bit hashes necessary to determine if one document is a near-duplicate of another against each indexed document.  This table is read while doing a search to determine duplicates if removal of duplicates is enabled.

  • How does Outlook send Task Requests?

I have been working with EWS and have frequently come across posts for Assign Task or Task Request creation is not supported by EWS.
But we can create Task Requests from Outlook. How does Outlook do that? What API does it use in the back to achieve this?
Is there a way to use the same API that Outlook uses to achieve this functionality?

Outlook use MAPI to access and create Items in Exchange Store so if you use the Outlook Object Model
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff184639.aspx or a Third Party Library like Redemption
http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/RDOTaskItem.htm these both use MAPI and will allow you to assign a task programmatically. The Raw rops that the Mapi client does to do this are also documented
    in the following protocol document

  • How can I determine the type of video out connector I need?

    Howdy,
I have a white macbook purchased Jun/2008. I want to connect to a TV but don't know what adapter I need. How can I determine the type of video out jack my macbook has?
System Profiler says the model identifier is "MacBook 4,1". Under Graphics/Displays the only thing it says about the "Display Connector" is that no display is connected. Too bad it doesn't tell me what type of connector it is. If I knew the name of the connector I'd probably be home free. But it seems like every macbook model has a different video connector (since the state of the art has advanced over the years) and I haven't been able to keep up with the names.
Now, I have a 6" long adapter that will convert this connector to VGA. And searching the Apple store for VGA adapters, the existence of mine says my connector is might be one of "Mini DisplayPort", "Apple Mini DVI", "Apple DVI", or "Apple Micro-DVI". But then there is also the connector at
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/M8639G/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
and that looks like the one I have. But unlike the other adapters, this one is just called a "VGA Display Adapter". Does the connector have a name? How can I find adapters that have that same connector?
I know I could use the adapter I have, plus a VGA to VGA cable, to hook up to a TV. But the quality of the VGA signal is poor in the digital world. My goal is to hook up to the TV via HDMI. Is this even possible? By which I mean, will my macbook generate the signals necessary to be able to be converted to HDMI?
    Thanks for any help,
    Zebulon T

    Thanks, Ded,
You're right, the cable that I have won't work. I't from my previous, 2004 iBook. This is pretty embarrassing... I looked at the cable but didn't bother to try plugging it in.
Looking at the close-up picture of the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter, that does look like the right connector. So I have Mini-DVI, and the other apter you pointed to can convert this to DVI. I'll take a look to see what makes the most sense, connector wise, downstream from that.
    Thanks very much.

  • Calendar Entries/Times Out by 1hour

Hi guys, we've got multiple users with a wide varietry of Blackberry handhelds, Lotus notes has been updated wtih Daylight Savings Time, and we have pushed out a DST Patch from the BES yesterday. However, multiple users have said that their calendar entries are out by approx 1 hour forward from what their Lotus Notes entry is showing.
We are running BES 4.1 and Lotus Domino 7.0.3 across our network.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?
     - cheers

this is the solution fromanother post
Well, I finally figured it out myself.  It is not very intuitive.  By double-clicking on the account name in the upper right of the main iCloud window (in one's browser), one can change the time zone.  However, by itself that will not cause anything to appear differently.  Nor will telling iCloud to refresh the calendar.  It is necessary to logout of iCloud and then log back in.  That sets all events in the right time zone.

  • Notification Center does not show current calendar entries? How can i fix it?

Sometimes entries for the next 24hours are shown in notification center, and sometimes not. It doesn't have to do with setting an alert, or not.
I really don't know, why it isn't possible to Show up calendar entries for at least 3 days for example.

Searching on keywords, if that's what you're doing, has never really worked. As to searching just on the category in the iTunes Store, it's most unlikely to throw up your podcast. There are thousands of podcasts out there, and it would be quite impossible to display on one page the entire list for any category. What you see are 'featured' podcasts, chosen by Apple as being special; please see this Tech Note:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#getfeatured
Note that there is no way you can influence the selection other than making your podcast really special.

  • How does one sync their calendar on the phone to the calendar on outlook??

How can I sync my calendar from outlook to match my calendar on IPhone and vice versa? Also how do I make sure what is in the icloud is the right info??

Select it in the iphone options.
Select your iphone on the left in itunes, then select the info tab and then choose the calendars, contacts, emails etc you want to sync.

  • How do I delete all calendar entries from iPhone 3G S

My iPhone calendar is out of sync with Outlook (2007, connected to an Exchange server). There are appointments no longer in Outlook that are still on the iPhone, and appointments with the wrong time on the iPhone. SO I want to remove all the calendar entries from the iPhone and then redownload everything from Outlook.
So how do I delete all the calendar items from the iPhone WITHOUT deleting them from Outlook or messing with my Outlook profile?

Thanks, Allan. Actually, I prefer to sync my calendar via iTunes because I refresh Outlook and sync via iTunes much more frequently than I fire up VPN to get directly to exchange. But I did use your tip the other way - I turn ON Exchange Calendars to blow away my current iPhone content, then turned it back off to delete the Exchange content. That left me with an empty iPhone calendar that I could then load via iTunes sync.

  • How  does systemn determin pricing procedure of billing type

How does system determinate pricing procedure of F2???????????????????
By doc.pric.proc? but in IMG, it is empty!!!
and I don't think it is reference sales order's pricing procedure
because if you use OR + TAN, the reference document of billing is delivery order!!!!!!

    Hi zhang
In pricing procedure determination OVKK , whatever DuPP you maintain that is linked to Billing document
In VOV8 we can see the CuPP  of the document . so if the DuPP is linked to CuPP in OVKK then the same pricing procedure will be flowing to billing document also  . Apart from that in VOV8 also make sure that , in billing data you are maintaining the billing  type

  • How can i view monthly calendar entries in OS7 like in OS6?

I just purchased an iPhone 5S with OS7;I  had been using a 4S with OS6.  I cannot figure out how to change view of calendar.  On my 4S I could see entries when I looked at the whole month calendar.  On the 5S, I only see a dot for an event; I have to open the day to see the specific event.  Where are the calendar preferences?

From the Month view in iOS 7, you will only see the dot.  If you are updated to at least iOS 7.1, you will have a button next to the magnifying glass at the top of the screen that will allow you to see the events for the day if you toggle it on or off.  That same button also changes your day view to the list view that you may have seen in iOS 6, so play around with that button.  Also, you can turn the iPhone sideways at anytime to see the week calendar.
