How does Stores work?

Hello!
          (We use 8.1.3)
          What we have is a JMSServer with a desitnation (a queue).
          We also have set a persistent filestore for our JMSServer.
          To the destination we have "JMS Bridge Destination" connected. The "JMS Bridge Destination" is connected to a Messageing Bridge that forwards messages to a MQ node.
          I thought that if a message could not be deliverd then it would be stored in the store.
          How ever every message gets stored in the store.
          Is it possible to configure the store to clean it self from already deliverd messages? Now the storefile just increases.

You are seeing expected behavior. All persistent message persist to the store.
          Deleting messages (by acknowledging or committing message receives), automatically frees up space in the file store for future messages -- so the store doesn't grow if messages are received as fast as they are sent. The store size increases only if there's no room left for additional messages.
          The store never shrinks in size, it just saves space for re-use later. WL 9.2 provides a command line utility for "compacting" the file store off-line, but it only works with 9.2 stores...
