How does the concurrent 'Set cost controls' in cost management work?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the use of 'Set cost contols'?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks,
Kaveri

The "Set cost controls" concurrent program is used in R12 to mass update the cost control fields on item costs.
The cost control region is found by going to Cost management >Item costs > Item Costs
The concurrent program lets you specify which items /costs should be updated by using various parameters such as cost type, item range, category range etc.
And you can specify the source for the new cost control data and the new value for the fields.
Hope this answers your question,

  • How does the Concurrent Access License (CAL) work.

Description from Google: How does the Concurrent Access License (CAL) work? Xcelsius Engage Server CALs allow for concurrent live data updates inside Xcelsius dashboards. Every time an end-user triggers a Web service inside an Xcelsius dashboard to retrieve live data, a CAL is consumed for a period of 5 minutes. For that period, in a five CAL deployment for example, there will be only four CALs left for consumption. A five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and additional CALs can be added to support a larger deployment.
    My question is as follows:
How a five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and what does it mean. In the first line it is saying that each CAL for a web service is consumed for a period of 5 minutes and how come it can support 25 users concurrently. Did it mean 25 web service connections inside a swf flash file or 25 different users to access a single web service through swf flash.

  • How does the flow of costs works in SAP PM?

    Dear Experts,
I just wonder how SAP PM handle the flow of costs from the point the maintenance order is created to the point of completion.
And also where do all the costs pre-recorded such as man-hour rate, is it in the "work center" master or somewhere else?
    Regards,
    Abraham

    Cost flow in maintenance orders:
I am summing up the answers already given.
    1.     Estimated costs: This is an approximate value, entered during creation of maintenance order. This value is for information purposes only and will not be validated any where.
    2.     Planned costs: When external procurement of spare(non-stock)/services are required, they are entered in the maintenance order. The spares will have cost in material master. Service cost is entered manually while creation of maintenance order. These costs are calculated when the order is brought to u2018Releaseu2019 status, and appear as u2018planned costsu2019 in the costs tab.
    3.     Subsequent purchasing activity u2013PR to PO conversion is done and when the material is inwarded, the actual cost as per PO, flows to maintenance order u2013 and populated as u2018Actual costsu2019. Same case happens when service entry sheet is created for external services.
    4.     Now the cost sits with the maintenance order. This must be settled to a cost center, assigned to the equipment, for which maintenance order is processed. When actual settlement is done for the order, the actual cost moves to the cost center and the order value becomes zero. This activity is required from FI Controlling point of view, to accrue the total expenses done on the equipment and adding them to the production cost incurred, using that equipment.

  • How does the "Manually Set EV"dialog box in "Merge to HDR Pro" work?

What is the  "Manually Set EV"dialog box in "Merge to HDR Pro" for?
Do these values affect the HDR results?
Since the source images are chosen in the first dialog of "Merge to HDR Pro"
why do we need to set EV manually here?
Besides, after I tried different values to compare the results
the "Manually Set EV"dialog box has disappeared how can I get it back?
    THANKS

If the files you are merging don't have metadata giving their exposure values (time, aperture, ISO), then MergeToHDR prompts you for the relative exposure values.
If your files have the metadata, then there is no need to enter the values manually.

  • How does the MacBook Pro with Retina display scaled resolutions work?

How does it work? I think I have the basics figured out; is this correct (by this, I mean below)?
It is a scaled resolution (1/2 I think of the actual display resolution) therefore, the size of the pixels would be equivalent to 1440 x 900, but each pixel that is represented on screen is actually 4 pixels, therefore making it look sharper, so things are physically the same size if it would be an actual 1440 x 900 screen, but it looks sharper on the Retina display because each pixel is actually 4 pixels?
    Thanks

If you read the specs on them you will discover that the MBP is way more powerful then the MBA. The big feature of the MBA is light weight. If you need a powerful computer then you want the MBP instead.

  • How does the merge to 32 bit hdr for ligtroom work

Please can some one help me with the new plugin for lightroom it's the
merge to  32 bit hdr plugin for lightroom. How does it work?
    I have ligtroom version 4.4    64 bit because i have  a 64 bit computer.
I don't have a camera that takes raw pictures I use my phone and download pictures from the internet.
Is that why i don't have a 32 bit option in the prefrances of lightroom.
This plugin does nothing for my pictures.
The only thing it does do is save 3 pctures of different exposures which is really annoying.
    Please help
    thanks

If you mean this one. http://www.hdrsoft.com/download/merge_lrplugin.html I suggest you check out the supplied tutorial.

  • How does the new Combined audio in/out on 13" work?

Can you have audio in/out simultaneously (analog)?
Does it only do analog in?
This feels so oldschool (shelling out more for the audio card with 'full duplexing').

Here's another (completely unforeseen) benefit of the iMic for me: my Late-'08 unibody MBP's headphone port, while it works perfectly with my headphones, doesn't seem to make good contact with the plug on a long headphone extension cord that I sometimes use to connect my MBP to my home theater system. If I move the cord or jiggle the computer slightly, the audio signal to the receiver gets dropped and I have to wiggle the plug in the headphone port to get it back again, with much crackling and consequent wear and tear on my speakers. Very annoying, and inexplicable because the plug appears to be absolutely standard.
iMic to the rescue: I plug the extension cord into the iMic's output instead of the computer's headphone port, and all is well.

  • How does the invoke event for an Air iOS app work?

    Hi,
If my app gets invoked for the first time the invoke event isn't fired.
If the app gets invoked for the second time it is working.
How to get the event.arguments[0] every time the app gets opened/invoked?
    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(InvokeEvent.INVOKE, onAppInvoke);
    function onAppInvoke(event:InvokeEvent):void {
    trace("INVOKE ARGS: "+event.arguments[0]);

Helo fideld, officially Adobe Air don't support Danish language. But I may help you.
    1. Download this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/ytx44mxzdgmlfq2/adt.jar
    2. Go to Air SDK\lib\ folder and backup your original adt.jar
    3. Copy my one from step 1
You may understand that patched adt.jar was produced by me and not by Adobe.
I just done this for you as a part of community friendly support. It's allow to add "da" language.
    1. Open your *-app.xml
    2. Add lang="da"
    3. Go to supportedLanguages in XML and add "da" also there so it's will be like "en fr de da".
Patched ADT was made from original latest 4.0.0.1619 and you must use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html 4.0.0.1619 before apply this patch
    This works well, just tested!

  • How does the attribute gets the data from R/3 field?

    Hi Experts,
It could be silly Q.  IO has attributes x, y, z.......  When we map r/3 field to IO, and it is added to the cube and when we create a report, how does the attribute gets data?  I've been working in BW and suddenly I got confused.  Someone please provide me some info
    Thanks,
    Radha

X,Y,Z being attributes of an info object A.
When A gets loaded it will be loaded with X,Y,Z.
If A is a cube and if you wish you can bring X,Y,Z also in the cube in one or more dimensions.
If you keep X,Y,Z as vag attributes rather than in te cube as dimensions, then , the system will generate SIDs for them.

  • For the iPod Classic, in settings, how does the volume limit work? After setting a limit, how to re-set to a new volume limit?

For the iPod Classic, in settings, how does the volume limit work? After setting a limit, how to re-set to a new volume limit?

This thread - with a quote from an LR4 Beta thread - says that all 6 central Basic controls in PV2012 (Exposure thru Blacks) are now image-adaptive, as were Recovery, Fill Light, and Clarity in previous versions:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4253485
Whether they are suitable for creating a Timelapse sequence without significant flicker is entirely subjective and up to you - and of course, dependant on your specific images & how they change over time.  Sorry, not much advice beyond try PV2012, and revert back to PV2010 if you get too much flicker.

The ZCM "beta" forum is the right place to ask this question: ZENworks Community Builds
But I think this could be done with a USB Connectivity Policy and/or with Communication Hardware Policy...
Take a look at the ZCM 11 Endpoint Security beta documentation here: Novell Doc: ZENworks 11 Endpoint Security Policies Reference - Creating Security Policies

  • What "exactly" does the Brightness setting in Print do?

What "exactly" does the Brightness setting in the Print module do?
I know it's a controversial button, especially now that there are proofing options available. Also, since you're using it "blind" it's impossible to know how much or what it's really doing.
Does anyone know if it's e.g.. the same as going to quick develop and going up on "exposure", or "brightness", or "shadows"... How exactly is it brightening the image, and is +100 a full stop or how is it calibrated?
    Thanks,
    Alan.

    Ooops,
Obviously there is NO brightness control in LR...is the print adjustment similar to an exposure adjustment or more like moving the "shadows" and "whites" adjustments (which if I understand corrrectly, moves tones above or below mid tones, but not highlights or blacks)?

  • KPI -How does the periodicity works in SM

Periodicity is @ Context level only? That means we have to define different contexts for weekly &monthly? That doesnu2019t fly good
How does the periodicity works in SM..data entry as well as frontend display?

    Hi TR,
When looking at a scorecard, you should see the status for all objectives and KPIs during the same time period. If you look at Revenue KPIs for just one week and Cost KPIs for the whole month, how can you assess how you performed in that month?
This doesn't mean that the metrics in PAS cannot have different periodicities. They can! But when looking at data in the scorecard these periodicities will be converted to the scorecard periodicity. For example if you have monthly metrics and you are looking at scorecard data quarterly, the scorecard will show you the value for the 3 months of that quarter. Here, you should take care to define the proper time consolidation properties for the metric (it can be SUM, like in costs or revenue, AVERAGE, LAST, FIRST...).
Likewise, if you have quarterly metrics and you want to see scorecard data monthly, then PAS does a breakdown of the value per months.
Anyway, if you are looking to setup a weekly scorecard, that will likely include a different set of metrics that a monthly scorecard would. Weekly scorecards will problably include more operational metrics and will lack the strategic focus of scorecards with a broader time scope.

  • How does the JRE determine java.home?

I recently upgraded from jre 1.4.1 to 1.4.2.
I'm having problems with applets, and I've traced the problem to the fact that java.home still points to the old JRE directory. Here is a line from the system properties dump in the java console:
    java.home = C:\PROGRA~1\Java\J2RE14~1.2_0
That directory doesn't exist anymore. The directory that contains the jre is now c:\program files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01.
I properly uninstalled 1.4.1, and I've tried uninstalling everything java related, manually deleting everything I can find (files, folders, registry settings) related to java or sun, and reinstalling, and this problem is still there.
I've also tried setting the property in the JAVA_HOME environment variable as well as setting it as a runtime option in the java control panel ( -Djava.home=. . .). No dice.
How does the JRE determine java.home? Is there a way to manually set the path?

Check regedit with the oldvalueThanks -- I tried that. The old value is not in the registry, and all of the registry settings for java.home point to the correct directory. The java.home value that ends up inside the plugin must be determined some other way (at least in 1.4.2).
If anyone out there knows where it comes from, please let me know!
    Thanks.

  • Question - How does the Priority feature of the Send Port work?

How does the Priority feature of the Send Port work?

The Priority setting of the Transport Advanced Options controls the order in which messages are removed from the messageBox. Ports with higher priority will be processed earlier than the ports with lower prioirty making the higher priority ports more important
relative to other send ports within a single host.
    Refer:
    Send Port Priority
The highest prioirty is 1, and the lowest is 10. The default value is 5.
