How does the delta works for changes made to Sales Document

Hi Experts,
How does delta for 2LIS_11_VAITM for the changes made to Sales Order Header.....
Example:
If a sales order had 10 line items any changes at the item level are captured by 2LIS_11_VAITM
Could you please update me on how the changes made at Sale Order Header level like Change of contract Date...etc
Does those changes are captured by 2LIS_11_VAITM.......
Please update

Hi,
SAP written lots of programs inside the Extractor, so it is not possible to tell how it will work, so you goto RSA2 in ecc and give the datasource and click on display and see the Function module and debug it you will know.
Thanks

  • How does the Delta functionality works while updating Infocube from PA

    Hi Gurus
How does the Delta functionality works when you send forecast to the Info cube from the Planning Area.
As I have weekly based planning, every week we have to update the forecast into the Cube. If I update  every week into the Cube , then the values are going to append  in the Info cube.
Shall I create ODS in between the Planning area  and the Info cube .
    (or)
    Any other method ?
    Please Suggest.

    Hi Preetham,
Data Extraction from planning area to infocube usually its supports for full update only, when u r going to load the data from planning area to cube ,it deletes the previous data and u vil get the fresh data, this is the best method performance wise,
if u want to use the delta functionality u can go for planning area to Dso, Dso to cube, it vil supports the delta functionality, but it vil degrades the system performance,

  • Transfer Rules: How does the mapping work?

Transfer Rules: How does the mapping work?
Is there a document out there that explains the following or can someone help clarify it for me. I have some confusion on what is really going on.
When I create an InfoSource (IS_Test)  as a “Flexible update…”  and then “Assign DataSource”  (DS_Test) and I respond Yes, to the message “DataSource assignment DS_Test to InfoSource IS_Test Save”
    a) <b>Under “Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules”</b> in the InfoSource
    1)  the “Transfer Rules” tab, what are the fields found in the right column (Assigned InfObjct-field)? And where do the fields you enter in the left column (<b>Communication Str/</b>Transfer rules) eventually go?
    2)  the “DataSource /Trans. Structure” tab, can I always assume that all the fields in the right column (DataSource) came from DS_Test? The left column (Transfer Structure), in my test was exactly the same as on the right. Where do these fields eventually go?
    b) Under “<b>Communication_Struct.”,</b> in the InfoSource
    3. the right column (ISource Fileds) where from those InfoObjects. if I am now creating my InfoSource. Where did they come from?
    4. The left column is “<b>Communication Structure</b>”, which at this point has no InfoObjects, if I move a couple of InfoObjects from the right to the left, where do these Objects in the left eventually go?
    5. what is the relationship between the “Communication Structure” in 4 and 1? Or any relationship between a) and b) as a whole?
    Thanks.

    Hi Caud,
As Ashish pointed out, communication structure contains fields (infoobjects) that suppose to go to data targets. Which IO in CS to which IO in the data target will go (and what transformation of data may occur) is determined in URs of the data target.
The transfer structure is the structure in which the data is transported from the source system into BW:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bw33/helpdata/en/3f/0e503c3c0d563de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
In “Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules” in the IS, DataSource /Trans. Structure” tab, right part shows fields in the Datasource, the left part – fields in the transfer structure. There is also a transfer structure in R/3 for a given DS. Transfer structure in BW is created identical to the TS in R/3 during TRs activation.
During data load data are transferred 1:1 from TS in R/3 to TS in BW.
TS in BW corresponds to the PSA table structure.
How data from PSA are transferred to the CS is determined in TRs.
The 3rd column (“Field”) (“Transfer Rules” tab, right part (Assigned InfObjct-field)), contains field names of the DS (TS); and the 1st column shows IO in the CS to which the DS field will go. So, it’s a mapping DS filed -> CS field.
The left part (“Communication str./Transfer rules”) is always identical to the CS content. But the 4th column (“Tp”) shows possible data transformation during transfer from PSA to CS. If this column contains a yellow triangle then there is no transformation (Value of DS field will go to value of CS field). If there is a red cross, it means that no data for this CS field is supplied from a DS. You can click on this yellow triangle and choose: 1). Another field from a DS; 2). Constant; 3). ABAP routine; 4). Formula. So, here you can determine the data transformation. Moreover, there is a possibility to create a start routine (blank sheet icon at the top).
And finally, here are the answers on your questions:
    Q:
    a)     Under “Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules” in the InfoSource
    1) the “Transfer Rules” tab, what are the fields found in the right column (Assigned InfObjct-field)? And where do the fields you enter in the left column (Communication Str/Transfer rules) eventually go?
A: Right part shows a mapping between DS and CS fields. Left part shows CS fields and data transformation (TRs) during data transfer from TS (PSA) to the CS. These are fields in the CS that will go to data target and which are fed from a TS (DS).
Q: 2) the “DataSource /Trans. Structure” tab, can I always assume that all the fields in the right column (DataSource) came from DS_Test?
    A: Yes, you are right.
Q: The left column (Transfer Structure), in my test was exactly the same as on the right. Where do these fields eventually go?
A: As I described, left and right parts are identical. These fields will go to CS.
    Q: b) Under “Communication_Struct.”, in the InfoSource
    3. the right column (ISource Fileds) where from those InfoObjects. if I am now creating my InfoSource. Where did they come from?
A: these are fields from an IS template, the name of this template you can see above this right part.  Actually, during IS (CS) creation you can choose different templates and choose fields from them transferring them into the left part.
Q: 4. The left column is “Communication Structure”, which at this point has no InfoObjects, if I move a couple of InfoObjects from the right to the left, where do these Objects in the left eventually go?
A: these are fields of CS (left part) and as I said before they will go to data target.
Q: 5. what is the relationship between the “Communication Structure” in 4 and 1? Or any relationship between a) and b) as a whole?
A: CS in 4 just shows IOs that will be transferred to data target. CS in 1 also shows how values for CS IOs are to be fed and transformed.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • KPI -How does the periodicity works in SM

Periodicity is @ Context level only? That means we have to define different contexts for weekly &monthly? That doesnu2019t fly good
How does the periodicity works in SM..data entry as well as frontend display?

    Hi TR,
When looking at a scorecard, you should see the status for all objectives and KPIs during the same time period. If you look at Revenue KPIs for just one week and Cost KPIs for the whole month, how can you assess how you performed in that month?
This doesn't mean that the metrics in PAS cannot have different periodicities. They can! But when looking at data in the scorecard these periodicities will be converted to the scorecard periodicity. For example if you have monthly metrics and you are looking at scorecard data quarterly, the scorecard will show you the value for the 3 months of that quarter. Here, you should take care to define the proper time consolidation properties for the metric (it can be SUM, like in costs or revenue, AVERAGE, LAST, FIRST...).
Likewise, if you have quarterly metrics and you want to see scorecard data monthly, then PAS does a breakdown of the value per months.
Anyway, if you are looking to setup a weekly scorecard, that will likely include a different set of metrics that a monthly scorecard would. Weekly scorecards will problably include more operational metrics and will lack the strategic focus of scorecards with a broader time scope.
    Regards!

  • How does the KKBC_HOE work?

I've been having discussions regarding the KKBC_HOE.  In particular how does the varient work.  We have a choice to chose several different variants and order statuses.  My question is if we are to capture the true target detail for the month what Order Statues are best suited to make that report.
For example what happens if we just choose DLV - Delvered and TECO - Technically complate orders?
If we choose PDLV - Partially delivered does it update the Target hours.
I've searched all over the internet and cannot find a complete descriptive explanation of how exactly this report works.  I'm hoping someone can provide me with some guideance. I do know you have ro run the summarization job KKRV or KKRC as well as WIP and variance calcualtion before executing the KKBC_HOE.
I look forward to your input and help.
    Dan Goodhart

Thanks for the replies.  What I have been able to determine from how we run our KKBC_HOE is that we run KKRC just for the current month.  Then we run KKBC_HOE for the current month.  The KKBC_HOE picks up all activity for the "actual" column that has occurred during that month.  But the Target column only get poppulated if the order is marked DLV or TECO.
To measure overall performance you really would need to run this report over several months.  Also, does anyone know if the target is taking the standard cost per unit X Planned order quantity or does it take Standard Cost X Actuall Quantity received?
Although there is a Target line based on the actual number of cases received it seems like the rest of the report is based on the Order Planned amount.  I'm trying to figure out if we have all our switches set right for this report.
    Thanks for your feedback.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • How Does the scheduler works with ODI engine

    Hi All,
I am new to the ODI and I was going through the documents over the web regarding the scheduling.
Can anyone please let me know how does the Scheduler in ODI is coupled with the ODI engine.
How does the internal scheduler works and how does the external one works. What are the processes the it calls while invoking the scheduler.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sumit

Scheduling in ODI is controlled by a special type of ODI agent, strangley called the ODI scheduling agent. This agent is installed as a service and as well as being responsible for all tasks associated with a normal agent is also responsible for managing ODI jobs based on any scheduling information associated with an ODI scenario. All scheduling information is stored in the ODI repository and the scheduler agent reads from this to determine which jobs/scenarios need to be executed and when.

  • Does the "Anamorphicizer" work for FCE and FCP?

    I have:
    Final Cut Express HD 3.0
    iDVD 6.0.2
Just downloaded the anamorphicizer from this link
    http://homepage.mac.com/sith33/FileSharing34.html
to help my project maintain it's 16:9 aspect ratio in iDVD.
Before I spend $30.00 for quicktime pro (so that I can start using the anamorphicizer with it) can someone tell me if the anamorphicizer works for Final Cut Express?
If you go to the page above it says, "Export your video from FCP like you normally would for going to iDVD," and does not mention FCE.
Or, is there another website to download a "anamorphicizer" version that works for FCE?
    Thanks!
PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)   Final Cut Express

I've had kind of iffy results with Anamorphicizer, but I suspect that's because I don't know what I'm doing (or am trying to convert funky file formats). But when I drop a file on top of Anamorphicizer, it automatically opens up QT Pro and instructs me to save the converted file. I think you might have to get QT Pro in order to use it—I'm not sure, but don't think that the regular (free) version of QT has the "save as" capabilities of QT Pro. (Could be wrong, though. . . )
Anyway, sure, if you save a file after it's been converted by Anamorphicizer, it should be able to be opened in FCE. (I save my files as a "Hinted" Quicktime movie.

  • Extended Classic Scenario  - how does the integration work ?

    Hi,
Apologies for asking a basic question, but we are looking at requirements for integrating SRM with R/3 using the extended classic scenario and I need to understand how the integration actually works ?  How is the data transferred between the 2 systems ?  Does it use BADI's, idocs etc ?
    Many thanks,
    fiona

    Hi Olaf,
I just wanted to give some precision on what you said (in the thread How to "see" PO in EBP ? also)
The Extended classic scenario only refers to the local PO creation replicated in R/3.
In this scenario, in the R/3 PO only the data not managed/sent from the SRM are available for modification (which depends on the SRM version you use)
The "PR transfer from R/3" is called "Plan driven procurement", and in this scenario only RFC is used, the qRFC are only used for BDocs of the CRM Middleware.

  • How does the filter work in BD64

    Hi all,
I have configured ALE to distribute material master data from the sedning system to recievung system. Also in bd64 I have created filter for plant in the following manner.
Select modelview -> and expand the tree -> under the message type select -> noo filter option -> create filter group -> in that I have selected plant and in the values I have specified 1000. I saved and came back he message displaye under the message type is <b>Data Filter Active</b>. I went to bd 10 and send a material which is located at plant 1000. IN we02 when I checked the stauts  is success with green light and one of the staus record with status 30 has this message <b>Receiver found , Data filtered , No conversion , Version conversion.</b> When I checked the recieving side the data records stll contains the plant value 1000.
What I expected is since I am filetring the Idoc based upon plant value, Idoc shouldn't be tranferred or the plant value must be erased on the recieving side. I still the value for werks is 1000.
I have configured bd64 only on sending side. The recieving side has this message <b>No filters , No conversion , No version change .</b> so should I configure bd64 on recieving side also for filters to be implemented and ths is only one way communication.
So I doubt how the filters work. Can anyone please expalin me how the filter works.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

    Hi,
    Check this Documentation..
Customer Distribution Model. In an R/3 system, the Customer Distribution Model is a tool that stores information about the flow of messages across various systems. The Customer Distribution Model uses an SAP-delivered Distribution Reference Model as its basis (the Customer Distribution Model can have distribution scenarios other than ones stored in the Distribution Reference Model.) The Customer Distribution Model stores data that dictates which messages (message types) flow to which Logical Systems. Many messages can flow to one Logical System, and one message can flow to several systems. With the use of filter objects and listings (which I’ll describe shortly), it is also possible to specify in a model the criteria for filtering information for a specific system. A Customer Distribution Model can be created in an R/3 system with that client’s base Logical System as the “sender” Logical System.
Use transaction BD64 or the following menu path to maintain the model: From the IMG (Implementation Guide), Cross-Application Components -> Distribution (ALE) (*) -> Distribution Customer Model -> Maintain Distribution Customer Model Directly -> Maintain Distribution Customer Model Directly.
The IMG for ALE, Distribution (ALE) (*), can also be directly invoked by using transaction SALE. This transaction is used very frequently in ALE. (I’ll discuss the process of creating, maintaining, and distributing a Customer Distribution Model later in this article.)
Filter object type and filter objects. A filter object type is used in the Customer Distribution Model to impose a selection criterion on the message (type) flowing to a Logical System. A filter object type with a value associated with it is called a filter object. For example, BUKRS (Company Code) is a filter object type available for message type DEBMAS (Customer Master). To distribute Customer master data of only Company Code “1001” to a particular Logical System, you would use filter object type BUKRS to create a filter object with value BUKRS = 1001. You can have multiple filter objects with different values for the same message type associated with that LS. While determining the receiver(s) of a particular message based on the Distribution Model, ALE performs object filtering. As with the Customer Distribution Model, filter objects are relevant only to ALE.

  • How does the JboExceptionHandler work

I don't understand how the JboExceptionHandler work.
I created a class that implements JboExceptionHandler and I used the method setExceptionHandler to bind it to my ApplicationModule.
But the exceptions that occur in the BC4J are never caught by the ExceptionHandler (the method handleException is never called).
In opposition, the handleWarning works when I call the addWarning method of the ApplicationModule.
In the documentation of JDeveloper I read that the handleException only works in three-tier application. What does it exactly mean ?
How should I deploy my application to make it work. How should I throw the Exception to make them catch by the ExceptionHandler ?
    My code is below.
    Thank you for your help.
    Virginie
    public class MyApplicationModuleImpl extends ApplicationModuleImpl
    * This is the default constructor (do not remove)
    public MyApplicationModuleImpl()
    setExceptionHandler(new JboExceptionHandler()
    public void finishedProcessingPiggyback(java.lang.Exception[] exArray)
    System.out.println("finishedProcessingPiggyback");
public void handleException(java.lang.Exception ex, boolean lastEntryInPiggyback)
    System.out.println("handleException");
    ex.printStackTrace();
    public void handleWarning(JboWarning warn)
    System.out.println("handleWarning");
    }

    Here my comments.
    Second : Why I can't use JboExceptionHandler in a
    2tier environment ?
Because in 2tier env, when an exception is thrown,it is >under the control of the JVM. It goes to the
    appropriate >catch block.
We (BC4J) have no chance to intercept and route the
    exception to the handler.
Alternatively, when running in 2tier env, in thecatch >block, you can call handleException().
Also in a 3 tier env the thrown exception is under
control of the JVM but You cath all of them and
rethrow to the client; why You can't do that in 2
tier ?In 3 tier env, here is what happens:
    - Exceptions are thrown in the MT JVM.
    - These exceptions are caught by the marshalling code
    (they are not thrown immediately).
    - When the method response is streamed to be returned
to CLI from MT, these cached exceptions are turned into
response entries in the returning message.
    - On the CLI, response entries are unpacked and processed.
When we see exception entries, we make a call to
    handleException of JboExceptionHandler.
In 3 tier env, we have the outer marshalling code that
can catch these exceptions and process them. Thus, in 3
tier env, multiple exceptions could be caught and processed
for one method call to MT.
In 2 tier env, there is no such outer marshalling code.
Hence, exception is thrown immediately by JVM and the user
code is suppose to catch it immediately and process it.
    >
    >
Fourth : How warning mechanism works in both
    environments ?
Because a JboWarning object is not a Javaexception.
Could You explain me better How I can use it in order
to deliver a warnint to the client ?
Is it possible to have an answer from the warned
client and then proceed with the processing ?When a warning is encountered, we call handleWarning()
method. After the method returns, execution continues.
    >
    >
Fifth : Is there an event wich triggers the "endof
all validation" cycle I can use to trigger the"end
    of possible error area" ?
Did you mean validation during commit? Could you
elaborate on what you need/want?I don't mean at commit but every time the system
start a validation (wich means going to a new row it
validates tle old row, at commit it validates all, at
a setAttribute it validate the attribute).
It could be usefull in order to keep all "validation"
error during a "validatio cycle" and rethrow them at
the end.Deferred validation exception handling may be something
you're looking for. Since this is actually a separate topic,
I would ask you to start a new thread. Could you?
    Thanks.
