How does the pin of SCXI-1302 relate to E serious MIO board

I use PCI-MIO-16E-4 to control my scxi(scxi 1000+1100+1300+1302). Now I want to use the counter and +5V power of MIO board. How does the pins of SCXI 1302 (50 pins) relate to the pins of my MIO board(68 pins)?

Dear Jack,
Please find attached a .zip file which I took from a Knowledge base article entitled "Cable Mapping for a 68 Pin Connector to a 50 Pin Connector" in here you will find a the pin-outs for a 68 pin connector and a 50 pin connector for the E-series boards. When you use the SCXI-1302 you are essentially converting the 68pins of the PCI-MIO-16E-4 to 50 pins, so follow the 50 pin connector diagram and you will see which connections you need to make.
Regards, Sally Tipper -NI.

  • How does the URL of DataSocket constitute? And how to use it in LabWindows/CVI ?

    Hi !
There's a problem puzzled me some days. How does the URL of DataSocket constitute ? And how to use it in LabWindow/CVI ?
For example.I have downloaded a code in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3787.I want to make it work properly. So I configure my DataSocket Server Manger according to the URL of this statement.
    DS_Open ("dstp://weather.natinst.com/weather/current",
    DSConst_ReadAutoUpdate, DSCurrentCallback, NULL,
    &dsCurrentHandle);
My DateSockket Server Manger is configured as:
However,it could not work properly when I debug it.
There's a introduction at the top of the code."You may need to replace the references to weather.natinst.com to 130.164.140.10 if the DNS isn't working properly."So,I modified the statement into
    DS_Open ("dstp://130.164.140.10/weather/current",
    DSConst_ReadAutoUpdate, DSCurrentCallback, NULL,
    &dsCurrentHandle);
    but,it did work properly.
We want to communicate with other computers via the URL of  DataSocket in LabWindows/CVI.Whereas,how could we make it ia the URL ?
If anyone could help me solve this problem,I would appreciate it very much !
    Best regards.

    Hi !
Thank you very much for your reply! I will accept your advice.
Besides,I have another question. If I want to visit other computers or other websites, how does the URL of DataSocket  I constitute ? Does the URL has any relation with the DataSocket Server Manger ?If does, how to configure the DataSocket Server Manager to let them connected. If they have no relation, how to use the DataSocket Server Manger ?
After all,I want to know how to use it in LabWinows/CVI ?
    Thank you very much !

  • TRFC internals - how does the async processing happen?

tRFC internals - how does the async processing happen?
    Dear all,
With the document "[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f078394a-4469-2910-c4bf-853c75674694|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f078394a-4469-2910-c4bf-853c75674694]" there is an excellent place to read about SAP RFCs (remote function calls).
Pages 94 to 96 describe in detail how tFRC (transactional RFC) works.
However, there is still something unclear for me with the following sentence on page 94:
"The truly exciting part happens when the program
issues a COMMIT WORK command. The recorded calls
are executed asynchronously in a special set of tRFC
processing sessions created for each transaction ID..."
Maybe someone can answer the following questions:
    a) what does exactly trigger and execute the tRFC?
    b) is it the ABAP runtime system itself, spawning the additional task in DIA?
    c) if multiple tRFC LUWs have been recorded, they are all executed in parallel by this procedure!?
    d) does the execution try to utilize all available DIA processes?
    e) how do the rdisp/rfc_... parameter come into the game?
are they evaluated? We have seen all DIA occupied by the tRFCs executed!
    Best regards,
    Peter
P.S.: if someone has answers to these ones, more related to error handling, would be great as well
    f) the jobs ARFC*, do they also use parallel processing?
or is every ARFC* job responsible only for one single LUW?
(note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/366807 did not give a perfect answer)
    g) and how does the report RSARFCEX work compared to immediate execution?

    That's the problem, it won't.

This piece of code looks at the SPDatabase's connection string (the SQL alias, for example) and executes a T-SQL query looking for that name within SQL Server. Since the SQL alias does not exist within the SQL Server's configuration, it will return a null
value, and you won't be able to set up the AG config using the AG cmdlets.
Also, since mobility exists by the very nature of using an AG Listener, using a SQL Alias is redundant.

  • When and how does the message context get removed from the message when we use pass thru send port

    Friends,
i have a doubt regarding message context.
Assume i have used XMLRecieve pipeline in the receive side to receive the message so that the message context is created. I.e properties are promoted/written.
now if we use pass thru transmit pipe line at send side, how and when does the message context get removed from the message?? Since pass thru does not have any stages/components, how does the message context removed and sent out a pure message to destination???
i mean what exactly happens here to remove the context??
    Ravindar

    Thanks for the reply.
"The Context is created by the Adapter, regardless of any Pipeline or Pipeline Component.  It has nothing to do with PassThrough vs. XmlReceive, although XmlReceive will write Promoted Properties to the existing Context,
    as can any other Component."
yeah yeah, adapter does create some properties in context. You are right, i am aware of it. I just missed to explain it clearly. what i meant is addition of context properties will not happen if pass thru used. Thanks its clear.
"No.  The Context already exists on the Message when it comes from the MessageBox and
is equally available to any Component in any Stage.  The Context that hits the Pipeline is whatever was last Persisted, either by a Receive Port or Orchestration.  It is not created by the XmlAssembler (XmlTransmit)"
You are right , the context already exists on the message while it leaves the receive port, and once it persists
to message box the context and message context gets stored in messages in relative tables.
Now as you said the components get the message from the last persistence, assume i have a send port(with passthru)
subscriber and a orchestration subsrciber for this message.
Orchestration gets the message with context right!!
if the send sendport(with passthru) also gets message along with context, then where is this context removed/demoted
while sending it out?.  i guess as per SAAkhlaq said,
here sendport(with passthru) should get a pure message without context as passthru used.
or is it that ultimately send adapter removes the context completely?
or is it something like biztalk run time load the context from database into cache and both orchestration and send port gets pure message, and if needed they use context from cache???
sorry i may be troubling you, but i am confused. i hope i am not creating any nuisance with this
    post.

  • How does the JRE determine java.home?

I recently upgraded from jre 1.4.1 to 1.4.2.
I'm having problems with applets, and I've traced the problem to the fact that java.home still points to the old JRE directory. Here is a line from the system properties dump in the java console:
    java.home = C:\PROGRA~1\Java\J2RE14~1.2_0
That directory doesn't exist anymore. The directory that contains the jre is now c:\program files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01.
I properly uninstalled 1.4.1, and I've tried uninstalling everything java related, manually deleting everything I can find (files, folders, registry settings) related to java or sun, and reinstalling, and this problem is still there.
I've also tried setting the property in the JAVA_HOME environment variable as well as setting it as a runtime option in the java control panel ( -Djava.home=. . .). No dice.
How does the JRE determine java.home? Is there a way to manually set the path?

Check regedit with the oldvalueThanks -- I tried that. The old value is not in the registry, and all of the registry settings for java.home point to the correct directory. The java.home value that ends up inside the plugin must be determined some other way (at least in 1.4.2).
If anyone out there knows where it comes from, please let me know!
    Thanks.

  • Question - How does the Priority feature of the Send Port work?

How does the Priority feature of the Send Port work?

The Priority setting of the Transport Advanced Options controls the order in which messages are removed from the messageBox. Ports with higher priority will be processed earlier than the ports with lower prioirty making the higher priority ports more important
relative to other send ports within a single host.
    Refer:
    Send Port Priority
The highest prioirty is 1, and the lowest is 10. The default value is 5.

  • How does the content repository differ from the ECM plugin capability

How does the content repository differ from the ECM plugin capability suh as Documentum. What are the different use cases. Which is the best to use for managing document uploads by user for association with user's personal products/services ?

Content Repository is a standards-based, fully featured repository, included in all the editions of the Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform and Solutions. You can use it to store and access content, execute rich set of content services like search, authorization, etc. As such, it's ideally suited for all the content/document/asset-related needs of your applications. It offers the JCR API, plus access through RESTful interface and WebDAV network drive (among others). Additionally, managing content in the Content Repository makes it immediately availble for all the solutions that run of the platform.
In essence, Content Repository is your go-to place to store and manage content in the Digital Enterprise Platform/Solutions. It is well suited to cater to your use case.
The ECM Plugins (Connectors) are used if you have existing LiveCycle document services, and you have one of the ECM systems in your infrastructure used as archive. It allows you then to connect to such a 3rd-party system, and retrieve document for processing, as well as store them back for archiving.

"How does UCCX manage it’s database connections – a connection pool manager / single connection / single connection for each call"
Does anyone actually know ?  Is it documented anywhere?
Based on how the steps work I'd guess that the UCCX engine makes a new single DB connection each time the DB step reaches out the DB for a read/write. I assume it would do this independently for every instance of a script running.  Hence the importance of the DB release step I'm guessing.
I know in the DB subsystem you can configure the maximum number of DB connections to be used but this doesn't imply how they are used.
I'm not a DB guy, but I think the concern stems from the potential load on a DB server with the constant opening and closing of the DB connections.  I'm assuming that if it used a connection pool the UCCX engine would open, and keep open, a group of DB connections to be used by the UCCX engine. This would lessen the load on the DB server I'm assuming.
Is there any fundamental difference with UCCX 8 and the DB access ?  It obviously not ODBC anymore.  It JDBC right ? But again how does the UCCX engine use the DB connection?

To my knowledge, this is not documented; however, at least through 7.0 the MIVR subsystem will open a pool of ODBC connections equal to the maximum you defined and keep them open. If you set it to 50, you will see 50 open connections on the SQL server. Each script that is triggered will attach to one of the available connections as soon as you use a DB-related step and keep it until you use a DB Release step. Once that script instance releases it, the connection is available for another script.
The behavior should not change with 8.0 as it is the same MIVR subsystem that is doing the work. My first CCX 8.0 project that needs database integration is still about 30 days away so I can't guarantee that though.

  • How does the Java card simulator work? and other misc questions

First, I have a class inherited from Applet. Okay, I did that.
How do I convert this class to a CAP file? I mean I have a class file which is compiled by javac, do I use this file to convert into a CAP file? What is an AID? Do I make up this AID?
In this .scr file (APDU Script), I understand the first 4 bytes, it means to create an Applet, but what about the rest? I know there are some intermixes of lengths and AIDs, I just can't decipher this.
    // create wallet applet

And here comes the main question?
How does the simulator work? How do I generate the data that mimics what the card reader reads?

how do you connect your photoshop elements on your computer to your account online? and how do you create a customized url? how does the gallery work and how do you access it? i have trouble signing in on my program from my computer to connect to the online photoshop, and I really want to create my own customized url and post photos to my gallery and share them with the world, family, and friends, but i need help because i can't figure how to do any of this, would really appreciate feedback and assistance, thanks, - claire conlon

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • How do I move a back up to another external drive and how does the Mac Book then find the new back up?

how do I move a back up to another external drive and how does the Mac Book then find the new back up?
I currently have the back up on a Time Capsule, I want to move it from the Time Capsule to another external hard drive.

Did you read the link to the Pondidni website?  You will have to select the Time Machine HDD for the new MBP and the old one in System Preferences>Time Machine:
    Ciao.

  • How does the remote object connect to the correct host

i have had a small doubt on how the remote reference manages to find the correct host to call the subsequent methods after a sucessful lookup.
given a rebind or bind to the registry, the registry only stores the alias and the remote reference, now imagine a client calling a lookup on the registry would only get the remote reference, and not in which machine the remote object is found.
what i wanted to know is how does the client or atleast the remote reference returned by the registry correctly connects to the machine where the remote object is located. i dont think its stored in the stub bcos the stub is a complie time stuff.
i would be pleased to have a comprehensive answer for this.

The membership in the group communication framework is always accurate and upto date.Up to date to the moment when you check. Not up to date to the moment when you make the RMI call.
i could basically chk if this ip is available in the membership list.Complete waste of time. It doesn't matter what you check ahead of time, you are still trying to predict the future.
And you still have to deal with ConnectException etc from the actual remote method call. And the way you will deal with that in your situation is exactly the same as what you were going to do if your ahead-of-time check failed.
So just catch the exception(s) and deal with the problem there.
