How does thunderbird open a http-link within a browser?

I often get mails with http-links. On my previous system I could click on the link and the browser window opened showing the web page.
If I click on a link on my thunderbird nothing happens. I am sure it is possible to configure thunderbird to open http-links in the default browser on the system. However I have not found the possibility to configure thunderbird in that way.
Can anybody give me a hint on how to do it?

i d'ont use it since long now but it has always been a poor trick in a lost config confile, not possible from the gui itself.

Is there an Open Parameter that will rotate the document, so it will be landscape, not portrait? Or just a way to simulate right clicking + Rotate Clockwise when it loads with your plug-in on a web page?
I was given over 1400 sideways documents to work with, and I'd rather not leave it up to my users to manually turn every single one that they want to look at.
These are all single page PDF documents, I may have no chioice but to set up a batch job to open, rotate and save all of them, in all the folders... but I am hoping there is a simpler solution that I can drop into my web page code.

You need some javascript for Acrobat to batch process your 1400 or so documents and I would have thought they should know this. However, try any of the these two links:

This particular forum is about Web Design and I doubt if anybody here will tell you about batch processing of your documents. You need scripts that can run in the browser or in the document itself.
Personally, I think you will need to edit and save the document manually but people like David Powers (our community professional and moderator of these forums) will tell you more about this.

How does Media Manager handle Motion Projects within the Sequence being copied?
I've highlighted my sequence, opened Media Manager, and copied it to another drive. When I open up the sequence in it's new project, the rendered Motion Project plays within my sequence but it won't let me go back into this Motion Project to make changes. I tried starting over. This time I highlighted the actual motion sequence and clip that is created within FCP after sending something to Motion and copied those to the new drive. When I went into the newly created 'media' folder and double clicked on the motion project it launched. It looked liked it was going to play but while my crops moves and borders were there, the filmed material is shown as a freeze frame for the duration of the motion project.
I did this with and without 'including master clips within selection'. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

How can I open the WD iView within the same pop-up window?

I have created a Web Dynpro(for ABAP) iView direct link that a hyperlink action.
(From different Web page)
And I used window.open(appointment to target) of javascript for opening only one window.
However When I click the link it opens in a new window every time.
(Also iview of different type is same)
How can I open the WD iView within the same pop-up window?
Could anybody help me by giving suggestion and codding?

This happens because these are not true links. Links created with Acrobat using the link tool do not have this problem. Acrobat and Reader have a feature that tries to automatically recognize urls so they can act as links, but it fails when the link contains a space.

You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. You do this by going to Settings>iCloud (on an iOS device) or System Preferences>iCloud (on a Mac) and signing in with your Apple ID.

How can i open a TEXTPAD LINK in recent versions of firefox in a P R I V A T E window?

No matter what i've tried in recent versions of firefox, i can ONLY open a textpad link in a private window with OLD VERSIONS of firefox, where a private window REPLACES non private window(s) !
In later versions, private mode opens an ADDITIONAL window that is private, but the non private window(s) remain too.
So when I right click on a link in Textpad to open it, it ALWAYS opens the link in the latest NON private window!!! Even if I get rid of the non private windows!
I have tried Palemoon Browser(an optimized clone of Firefox) & no difference, unless I use old version 19.0.2 of that browser.
If there was a way in the registry(via an addon or manual change) to make the latest vers of FF beHAVE like the much older version when going into private mode, that might be a quick fix.

Well... even though there is a command-line option to open a new private window, there is no way to feed a URL to that window externally. Firefox will always open the URL in a new non-private window. It's not clear why it was set up this way.

How does AnyConnect client calculate its Link Speed? (Windows 7)

I'm curious about how the AnyConnect client determines what its default Link Speed is, upon initialization?
For example, from behind my home firewall, if I have a client that's physically connected to a 1Gbps uplink, when I launch the AnyConnect client, Windows Task Manager shows me a Link Speed of 9 Mbps for my AnyConnect connection.
However, if I also launch an AnyConnect connection from another machine on my home LAN, connected via 300Mbps WiFi, Windows Task Manager will only show me around a 1 Mbps Link Speed.
How does the AnyConnect client calculate its Link Speed upon connection?   Does it take a percentage of the available upstream bandwidth?
My home ISP bandwidth is 50Mbps down/12 Mbps up.   My corporate ISP (where the ASA I'm connecting to resides) it 50Mbps bi-directional.

For PHP, if you want to handle data in UTF8, NLS_LANG must be set to
"<language>_<territory>.UTF8", where <language> and <territory> are your
preference. There is few difference between ODBC and OCI called by PHP
in this case as both need to set NLS_LANG to UTF8. If you are familiar
with OCI and expect better performance, you can do so. But if you want
to make the application be portable in terms of data source, ODBC is an
appropriate choice.
Data source doesn't matter the encoding of client. The character set of
client is determined by how client calls ODBC functions SQLBindParameter
or SQLBindCol. If the client specifies SQL_C_WCHAR, data is exchanged in
UTF-16 independent from NLS_LANG. If it is SQL_C_CHAR, data is in
NLS_LANG encoding. Unicode ODBC client binds data with SQL_C_WCHAR, that
is exactly the case of MS Access 2000. On the other hand, because PHP
binds data with SQL_C_CHAR, NLS_LANG is taken as the encoding for data
manipulations

Does anyone know how sites like google know what country you are browsing from and automatically forwards you to the local country site? I would like to do something similar with an ApEx application I am writing, showing country-specific things without prompting the user for their country.

Hi All
Very Very new at this and what I would like to happen is - when a link is clicked the page opens in a new window. I know you can right mouse click and select open in a new widow - I would like this to happen when user clicks the actual link
Hope someone can help with step by step guide as I do need spoon feeding

In the Link Text I have entered the Doc Name eg
Corporate Mission, Vision and Value Statement
In the target I have entered the doc link eg http://dmindexer/CyberDOCS/quickstart.asp?show=VIEW:118973:&guest=Y&lnoframes
Where would I put the code you replied with.

How can i open a PDF link with safari?C

safari keeps saying that "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" when I tried to open a PDF file link. and I have no problem opening those links with I.E or Firefox.
i've tried to reinstall safari and adobe, but neither of those methods worked.

TX2 1020ea Laptop ZIF Connector - How Does It Open?

Hi,
I have a HP Touchsmart TX2 1020ea laptop which is currently in pieces. I've stripped everything down as per the HP service manual but am having trouble with a ZIF connector that connects the audio board housing the earphone and microphone sockets to the motherboard. HP refer to it as a ZIF but is not like the traditional type with the bar that presses down on the cable. All the other ZIF connectors in the PC have opened with no problem. The one I'm having problems with is different in that in addition to the cable going into the connector, there is also a plastic tag sticking out. There is no easily identifiable moving part to the ZIF. Now, tempting as it may be to use the plastic tab as a grip just to pull out the cable, I also need to be able to reinsert it when putting the PC back together.
So does anybody know how this particular ZIF works please? Some photos are attached.

Thanks for the reply. I have been tempted to do that but figured that it would be difficult to re-insert on reassembly.Any advice? Any ideas why HP would have one different connector design compared to the other ones in the PC?
