How does VBEP table being updated?

Hi Gurus,
Good day. Please kindly advice how does VBEP table being updated. As we are encountering that some of the item are not available in this table but available in VBAK table.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Rellie

Hi,
VBEP table contains the schedule line data for the items.
Check and compare with VBAP. go to the sales order item table VBAP. For a particular item you will have the ordered quantity in the field KWMENG of VBAP. You can get the individual schedule lines and the partially confirmed quantities in VBEP table.
Thanks,
raja

    Actually, it's a timing issue. Those items are greyed out for a couple of minutes after PPro starts. A little patience and they become available. ;)

  • How/When is table SRRELROLES updated with roletype BBP_TARGET

    Hi
    I am having an issue in method FILL_PO_INTERFACE which is in an implementation of BADI BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK.
    I am using SAP std FM BBP_BW_SC_SELECT_1 to get the shopping cart ID and SC guid. I am having a problem because this FM sometimes returns back no values which is down to there being no PO value with role type 'BBP_TARGET' in table SRRELROLES (see code below).
    select * from SRRELROLES
    where objkey = Purchase Order*
    and objtype = 'BUS2012'
    with role type = 'BBP_TARGET'.
    I have two queries.
    1. Under what conditions does the SRRELROLES table get updated with the PO and shopping cart details for roletype 'BBP_TARGET'? Is it configuration? or another BADI i.e determine backend obects?
    2. Is the table SRRELROLES updated before going into the BADI BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Checking how a column is being updated

    Hi ,
    I have a column called testing that being updated with some values somehow and i need to know how it was being updated
    i tried to search under v$sql & v$sqlarea
    select * from v$sql or v$sqlarea
    where sql_text like '%testing%' and it only shows a few days of rows that has the testing words in the sql_text column
    ques1 :
    1 how long does Oracle keeps the sql statement or this is only for those in the library cache and might be replaced anytime ?
    2. if i have a unix shell script that connects to Oracle & then execute some sql statements will this be captured in the above dynamic views ?
    3. Is there any other area where i could check ?
    kindly advise
    tks & rdgs

    > 1 how long does Oracle keeps the sql statement or this is only
    for those in the library cache and might be replaced anytime ?
    While there is a "usage count" on the cursor in the shared pool (i.e. other processes still have an open handle on that cursor) it is locked and cannot be aged out.
    When the "usage count" drops to zero it is a candidate to be flushed from the pool.
    > 2. if i have a unix shell script that connects to Oracle & then
    execute some sql statements will this be captured in the above dynamic
    views ?
    Yes. A Unix client (i.e. SQL*Plus) is not different than any other client like TOAD, Delphi, J2EE, etc.
    Capture is the wrong term though. The Oracle server servicing your session gets the SQL statement. It first checks the shared pool if that SQL (character for character)* already exists in the shared pool. If it finds it, it re-uses that cursor via a soft parse.
    If it does not find it, it performs a hard parse and stores that SQL as a cursor in the shared pool.
    The V$ views are in fact SQL-look-a-like-views on internal memory structures in Oracle. The V$SQLAREA is specifically such a view on the Oracle shared pool in the SGA.
    It is not intended as a mechanism to "capture SQL" statements for debugging, tracing and admin purposes. Nor is it intended to be a real time trace of SQLs hitting the database engine.
    One needs to understand just what the shared pool is in order to interpret the results of V$SQLAREA correctly.
    > 3. Is there any other area where i could check ?
    No. There are other views that can be used, e.g. V$OPEN_CURSOR. But all these are just different views of the same SGA structure.
    There are other better methods to trace "what is happening?". For example, your requirement to see who and what changes a specific column sounds to me like an auditing requirement - which is best addressed using the AUDIT feature of Oracle.
    If it is a security issue also, that could be addressed using FGAC (Fine Grained Access Control) by changing the SQL at run-time.

  • How does Apple test new updates?

    Getting a new MBP to use with FCP X, and have been reading about problems on both forums regarding latest updates.  Just wondered if anyone knows how Apple tests an update before releasing it. It seems like a lot of the problems folks have with updates are remedied by doing fresh install of the original software.  So, does Apple try  out update on a pristine computer with fresh install of original software, or on a computer that's been used  while and might be  bit fragmented, or what?

  • How does ISM02 Field get updated in tcode COR6

    Hi,
    I have a problem where the Field ISM02 is getting updated only for the first partial confirmation and from the next time it is updating 0 in the filed When we run the tcode COR6.
    can any one help me know the functionality or conditions for the field ISM02 to get updated in the table AFRU.
    This problem is happening only when we try to confirm for the Work centers which are not assigned to the production order..

    Hi,
    The example field does not get populated and won't be for two reasons:
    - The Xpmd products don't do it and we want to keep the same XML schema than the others so that FlexPMD reports remain compatible with third party tools (like the PMD Hudson plugin, and XSL script)
    - That would have a high impact on the report size. Imagine that you have 2000+ violations in your report...
    That being said, it will be possible to retrieve the example section from the Flash Builder plugin in the outline view.
    Best regards,
    Xavier

  • [solved] How does the forced Dropbox update work?

    Seems to everyone agrees: The new Dropbox version (3.0.3) is awful. See comments there: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dropbox/
    What makes it even more nasty: Even if you don't intend to update, it will update itself. Luckily, there is a hack in the wiki:
    rm -rf ~/.dropbox-dist
    install -dm0 ~/.dropbox-dist
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/dr … uto_Update
    But I wonder:
    How is Dropbox even able to force an update without having root rights?
    As far as I can see, it is connected to Dropbox running in the user directory:
    /usr/bin/dropboxd is:
    #!/bin/sh
    # Copyright 2008-2013 Dropbox, Inc.
    # Environment script for the dropbox executable.
    PAR=$(dirname "$(readlink -f "$0")")
    OLD_LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"
    export OLD_LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    exec "$PAR"/dropbox "$@"
    where PAR just points to the current user directory.
    So exec just starts /home/carl/dropbox for me? I don't understand, there is no /home/carl/dropbox in my files!
    So does anyone understand what dropbox is doing? Specially concerned the forced auto-update.
    [edit]that assumption regarding the path was wrong. as /usr/bin/dropboxd is a symlink to /opt/dropbox, it starts /opt/dropbox/dropbox.  see comment #3[/edit]

    OK, one step further:
    On my next installation, I was to slow to stop the forced auto-update and now I see:
    there is ~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd including:
    #!/bin/sh
    PAR=$(dirname "$(readlink -f "$0")")
    exec "$PAR/dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.0.3/dropboxd" "$@"
    and in fact there is~/.dropbox-dist/dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.0.3/dropboxd
    which includes
    #!/bin/sh
    # Copyright 2008-2013 Dropbox, Inc.
    # Environment script for the dropbox executable.
    PAR=$(dirname "$(readlink -f "$0")")
    OLD_LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"
    export OLD_LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    exec "$PAR"/dropbox "$@"
    like the old /usr/bin/dropboxd before, and in fact, there is a whole directory ~/.dropbox-dist/dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.0.3/ which includes the executable ~/.dropbox-dist/dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.0.3/dropbox.
    So the forced upgrade is possible because the software runs in the user-directory.
    I still don't understand, how that is called by the "dropboxd" command, as
    $ which dropboxd
    /usr/bin/dropboxd
    and that still seems to execute ~/dropbox as described in #1. How is that script able to refer to ~/.dropbox-dist/* ?
    @Jasonwryan:
    Yes, I know, thanks anyway.
    I need Dropbox for work as we use it there to share files. I don't use it for private stuff and sensible files are protected by encfs.
    And understanding how an non-root-update is possible is interesting anyway. I hope that other software isn't inspired by passing by the repos that way....

  • How does "Forms Table Test" work?

    Hey guys,
    I want to use a "forms table test" on the order management lines form, but it doesn't show any reaction.
    In which forms do I use table forms test?
    best regards
    dewi

    Very simple. This table existed in Oracle Version 3 and was used prior to PL/SQL for performing computations. The dummy column is just that. I always returns one row, one column if you select from it.
    Now: DON'T DROP THIS TABLE!!!!!! I decided to see what would happen I did drop the table. Ever hear of INSTANCE CRASH? The Oracle Kernel uses this table Internally for consistency purposes. Shame on Oracle for saying in Version 6 that this table is no longer needed. Also, if your application does a select <sequence name>.nextval from DUAL, change your code as you'll see LOTS of excessive IOs from using this table.

  • How does W_MCAL_DAY_D table gets populated?

    Guys,
    I am having an issue with the table W_MCAL_DAY_D. I have the data loaded into this table till 12/31/2010. I do not see the data for the year 2011.Can anyone please help to understand how i can populate this table with the data for the year 2011?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    First check whether w_day_d is populated for the year 2011 or not. If not you need to populate W_DAY_D table till 2011 or till the required year. After that it will populate w_mcal_day_d.
    Anyone please correct me if am wrong....

  • How does a table get populated.

    Hi,
    I am working on a report that picks up data from the table PPFTTRIGG. The report works fine when there are entries in the table. however I noticed that the table is getting filled randomly and hence the reports output is not proper. So my question is, how do I find wat populates a table. I tried the where used list and got nothing out of it. I looked at the program and the BADIs that could possibly populate the table. none of these have helped me find this out. Can anybody please give me a clue.

    New for me, but the SAP help gives a good impression of the possibilities:

  • How does an Adapter task update ud_aduser process form

    Hi All,
    I have a Task Adaptor that changes the ad password using a random password generator. I need to then send that password via email to the user so I am thinking I need to update the aduser process form with this generated password.
    Thanx
    Fred

    This is a quite common but unfortunately not very easy problem to solve.
    What you usually do is to create a grace period of anything from a few days to a few months where the user is disabled and moved to a "frozen" ou. If the user is re enabled during this time period the user is brought back to life again.
    It seems like your "dead" container works a bit in the same way. You could theoretically serialize the information about the user and write it to a database table (or another persistent storage) and recreate the user using that information but I would not recommend this. The main reason is that some information i.e group membership might have changed meaning during the time the user was frozen. This might result in inappropriate rights given to the returning user.
    I would recommend using a two tier system where the user gets:
    1. Disabled and moved to the "grace period" container
    2. After X amount of time the user is deleted and is gone forever
    You might want to consider adding a "deep freezer" container where you stick accounts that belongs to users who are on maternity leave or sabbatical but it likely to come back within Z amount of time. Consider removing group memberships of these users before sticking them in the freezer or at least mandate a process where the group memberships are reviewed on reactivation.
    Hope this helps
    /M

  • I have the family pack for aperture How does the second user update? it keeps telling me to sign in on the other computer??

    I have 2 computers using aperture. How do I update the second user? It keeps asking for my computer sign in??

    How did you purchase Aperture?  I don;t believe there was ever a 'Family Pack' for Aperture (or any of the Pro Apps for that matter).
    So in order to help we'll need to know how you are trying to install Aperture, where you bought it from and the version.

  • How Does iTunes Library notice update?

    Hello -- I have iTunes scan just one directory on my computer which I update with new MP3 -- What is the best way to get iTunes to update incorporate the
    changes?  -- Is use the  Scan Directory function?

    iTunes does not have any built-in capability to watch a folder and act on new files that are placed there.
    You can add that capability by using the 3rd party program iTunes Folder Watch.
    Or, when you get new files, put them into the Automatically Add To iTunes folder, which is located in the iTunes Media folder.  Any files placed there will be automatically added to your iTunes library, and immeditely moved to their new iTunes-based location.
