How does WebLogic 8.1 get the BASE HREF value?

We have a WebLogic 8.1 SP4 server with a Juniper DX load balancer in front. We are trying to get Juniper to handle all the SSL traffic for the WebLogic application. Between Juniper and WebLogic, it would be just HTTP and between Juniper and web clients it would be HTTPS. One of the main issues we are seeing is that Struts HTML:BASE tag is returning the Juniper address as we expected, with the correct SSL port and application context/paths. However, the protocol for this base href is set to HTTP and not HTTPS. Consequently, our pages do not load properly.
I am trying to understand where this value comes from. The underlying code uses request.getScheme() to get the protocol. So, we could "customize" the tags to work around this, but that is a hack that I am trying to avoid. I assume that the HTTP stack that WebLogic 8.1 uses is providing this info from the HTTP request. Does this come from the web browser? How does WebLogic get this to put it into the request object in the web container? We have sniffed the HTTP headers on the web client side and we cannot see where this is coming from.

I remember facing a similar issue with webloigc 8.1 and apache
I dont think its a problem with the tag..
I think i have changed the transport-guarantee in web.xml
If you have NONE try setting that to CONFIDENTIAL and vice versa

  • How does one go about getting the Kit Kat upgrade?

I've searched the Verizon site ad I can't find how to download it.  Must one be selected?

Thanks for your reply.  I went to Settings and About Phone, however, there was a "System updates"  that showed a history and a "Check for new software update" key.  I tried that and it returned with Your phone is up to date.  I guess I'll have to wait for Verizon to send me an update.

How does one go about getting the Kit Kat upgrade?
created by clydefrog4963 in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - View the full discussionVerizon has started pushing the 4.4.4 KitKat update on the Note 3, I got mine today. It poppped up when connected to my computer on Kies but you can do it on your phone by going to settings, all the way to "about phone" at the bottom, then click on "software update." Its best to do this while connected to wifi, and make sure your phone is at least half charged. • How does it cost to get the disk drive fixed on a macbook pro?

How much does it cost to get the disk drive on a macbook pro fixed?

It depends on who fixes it. Assuming that the drive needs to be replaced, you could have Apple do it (most expensive), a local computer repair shop (less expensive) or do-it-yourself (least expensive).
There's really no 'fixing' a hard drive - it either works or it doesn't. What leads you to believe that your drive needed repair (or replacement)?

  • HT5467 How does my iOs6 iPad get the location services data from my personal WiFi net?

How does Apple determine my current location of my iPad WiFi only by the location of the WiFi net (my house net)? How is the location of my private WiFi net sent to the Apple Database? Is the information obtained from the router?

The location information comes from GPS equipped devices like iPhones seeing your router and it's MAC address and sending the router location to Apple for inclusion in their database of router locations.

Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

  • How Long Does It Take to Get the Crossgrade Replacement CDs?

    Hello--
We bought Final Cut Studio before we purchased our new Mac Pro. We filled out the paperwork and mailed it in with the CDs, etc. from the program to get universal binary version.
We have some video projects right now, and just wondered if anyone has any experience with how long it takes to get the replacement CDs for the Intel based Mac Pro? We are in the west coast of CA, in the US.
    Many thanks,
    sd

    Hey Robert,
You know why, they get shipped from Singapore (or at least ours did). I sent off two FCP Studios for crossgrade and one standalone FCP5 for upgrade, and it took about 2 weeks for the crossgrades to get back last week, and as of this moment we're still awaiting the upgrade. A little odd as they were posted together, but upon chasing it up, I've been told they "are in the process of processing it". Hopefully it won't be too long, because I want to update all systems between projects next week.

  • Getting the base-36 representation of a byte[8]

    Hello all.
I am in the process of writing a J2ME client for a properitary protocol transmitting stock data.
Simply put my problem is that I need to get the base-36 (0-9AZ) representation of a 64 bit unsigned number (stored in a byte[8]).
To be more elaborate, I am encrypting a string using the Blowfish algorithm (from www.bouncycastle.org), and the resulting blocks are to be sent to the server as a base36 string representing the block.
Since I am on J2ME I do not have access to Sun's BigInteger, but Bouncycastle provides a lightweight one, however I think it is a bit buggy. Nor do I have access to the J2SE formatter classes.
Ideally I would want to do something like this:
    Long.toString( (long)bytearray, 36 );
This of course do not work since
    1) Jave does not support casting byte[] to long, this could however be fixed by bitshifting.
    2) Long is always signed and I am really at a loss on how to do this.
    Any ideas?
    Regards Johan Seland

Is your byte array big endian or little endian? I'll assume little endian.

How do I go about getting the product serial number to register my product as well as install my product.  I bought it with a product box.  On the software disc sleeve, there is a series of numbers pasted at the bottom of the sleeves but this is not valid.  When I tried to type this in for registration, it does register as this numbers also contain letters in it.  Apparently the registration boxes accept numbers only.  What do I do with a useless product for which I have paid good money for it?????

This is the simple solution which was offered to me when I tried to get the serial code on line.
The box and disc sleeve do not contain a series with 24 numbers which I presume is the product code to install.
I tried to redeem the registration code by following what they recommended, but inevitably it gets to the page that showed the registration boxes that need 24 serial numbers and I got stuck again.
This product is so different what my previous experiences of other software products where I just enter the serial number straight from the disc sleeve and then I got registered and go on to use the software.
I is really frustrating, spending the last two hours trying to get my product going....

  • How can i do to get the picture on the projector?

When i connect my macbook with an vga adapter to my projector it does not work. The projector is saying: no signal. How can i do to get the picture on the projektor?
    Thanks

    Hi axel559,
Try connecting the MBP to the projector with the projector on, then boot the MBP, if it does not detect the projector, go to system perferences>displays>click detect displays. You might then have to adjust the resolution to have a correct image, usually 1024X768.
    Hope this helps.

  • How does weblogic maintain idle JDBC connection

I see weblogic maintaining connections even when they are idle. (unless we explicity mention to remove)
How does weblogic maintain the socket on DB under idle condition? Does webogic do ping kind of activity to maintain/renew the socket for all idle connections in the pool.

The test-frequency-seconds property specifies the number of seconds between tests of unused connections. WebLogic Server tests unused connection and reopens any faulty connections. You must also set the Test Table Name.
The seconds-to-trust-an-idle-pool-connection property specifies the number of seconds within a connection use that WebLogic Server trusts that the connection is still viable and will skip the connection test during the periodic connection testing process.
