    If you installed the Oracle Java runtime, there's a preference pane named Java in System Preferences.

  • How to find which version of JDK is loadjava using

    Hi All,
    How to find which version of JDK is loadjava using?
    I am using Oracle : 9.0.1.5.1 and I need to use class javax.crypto.Cipher which is shipped with JDK 1.4.2, but loadjava is unable to import javax.crypto.*;
    Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Abba

    Abba,
    From memory only (since I haven't verified it), "loadjava" is a script, so you can have a look at its contents. I believe it actually uses JDK 1.1.8 (which is part of the Oracle installation). In any case, Oracle 9i is compatible with JDK 1.3 only.
    Oracle 10g is compatible with JDK 1.4.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • [Solved] How to specify which version of Java to use?

    I have OpenJDK 7 as my default, but I also am trying to use Oracle's Java 7 for a specific program. I have installed jdk7-compat as suggested by the arch wiki, but I am unsure how to use it specifically.
    java -version outputs:
    OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.5.0) (Arch Linux build 7.u60_2.5.0-2-x86_64)
    OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.60-b09, mixed mode)
    so OpenJDK is  still the default, which is good. At the same time, how do I use Oracle's Java for a specific program?

    You have to create a bash script to execute that program, where you define your Java variables. For example, let's supposed your oracle Java is installed at /opt/java_1.6.14/ folder
    #!/bin/bash
    export JAVA_HOME=/opt/java_1.6.14/
    export PATH=/opt/java_1.6.14/bin:$PATH
    <your command>

  • How to find which profiles created with SU02 have a specific company code

    We just added another company code.
    We have company code 10 & 20
    We're trying to find out which profiles created with SU02 have company code 0010 or * for BUKRS
    I know that you can get that information with SUIM for field text BUKRS and it will show you all the roles or I can browse table agr_1252,
    But how do I get the same information for profiles created with SU02
    I just want to make sure that users that have company code 0010 cannot access company code 0020 and vice versa
    Thanks a lot in advance, this will be very helpful for me
    Thanks again
    Joe

    Hello Joe,
    Solution is to be found in SUIM->Profiles by complex selection criteria. In the selectin screen uncheck the field 'Generated Profiles'

    If you have only a single home, the quickest/easiest way is probably just to check the properties of %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\2.x\oracle.dataacess.dll
    Or are you asking how to check it at runtime?
    If you want to see externally what is actually loaded by an app you can use process explorer
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
    If you want to check it in the app itself:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/383686/how-do-you-loop-through-currently-loaded-assemblies
    Hope it helps,

  • How to find MRJ version?

    How do I find which version of MRJ (Mac Runtime for Java) is on my system? I don't want to just download the latest version -- I want to know what is currently loaded.

    Run this in the Terminal:
    *java -version*
    On my machines, it returns this:
    +java version "1.6.0_07"+
    +Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_07-b06-153)+
    Since you're running an obsolete version of Leopard, you'll need to update to get the latest.

  • How to find which model of iPhone 5 I am using? and is that GSM or CDMA?

    How to find which model of iPhone 5 I am using? A1428 or A1429 ? Is there any short code you can dial in and check the model number ?
    And which is GSM or CDMA out of this model.

    If you purchased the phone in the US with an AT&T contract then you have the locked CDMA A1428 version of the iPhone 5.
    At the moment and if the contract is a new contact, then you won't be able to get the phone unlocked at the moment and no, you won't be able to use it in your home country.  You will also have LTE 4G compatibility issues too and your phone will only work on 3G and also you need to remember that iPhones are only covered by country specific warranty, so it is only covered in the US, so if you go home and then have a problem with your phone, you will have to come back to the US to get it repaired.
    You need to approach AT&T about whether they will unlock your phone for you as they are the ONLY ones that can do it, but the answer to your question is no and if you had wanted to use your phone at home, then you should not have purchased it in the US.  The best that you can hope for at the moment is to use it on international/roaming.
    If you purchased your phone in the US, then it will be a CDMA phone.  You don't have a GSM phone, but GSM phones are unlocked anyway and these are the ones that are selling in Canada and the UK.
    If you have your phone on an AT&T contract then ultimately, AT&T are the only ones who can help you with any questions regarding unlocking and they are the only ones who can unlock it for you, noone else.
