How edit the cue script

I have a cue 7.1 . I need edit the AA script, but there is not EDIT button. Im unable to edit the script.
In other cue 8 that I have it only allow me edit only one of the scripts.
How can I enable the edition of one AA sctipt?

I believe its required DBA privileges as well as OS level login credential to edit the job,
you can Query from dba_role_privs which user having DBA role assign, and find those user having OS level Credential.

How to edit the installation scripts in the supporting objects

I wanted to update one of the installation scripts in the supporting objects. I clicked into that script and use the "script editor" tab. After editing the script, I clicked "Apply Changes" button. It redirected me to the upper level of the page. When I reopen the script, the content of this script is messed up and has the content of another script, not what I have changed. What could happen with it? There is one case that the script was all wiped out!
One general question, how can I easily update the install scripts and reload it without export and import the whole application? or Can I?

I am not sure what causes this, but I have had the same issue with shared components >> report queries. Sometimes if you have multiple report queries it becomes impossible to edit any of them. If I remember correctly I tried using a different browser and everything seemed to work ok. I was using Firefox when I was having the issue.

Yes, 'View' is read only. Get KompoZer, which is free: you can create web pages in it, or open existing pages and edit them.

Using VB API in VBA to edit the Calc Scripts

Does anyone of you have VBA source code/examples utilizing Essbase API for the following operation.
I want to copy Calc Script from Server to the client, edit the Script using VBA and copy back the Script to the Server. Any kind of info is appreciated.

I posted some real sample code a while back for a completely different function (member renames).

So while you'll have to write the calc modification code yourself (or ask Glenn his rate ;-)), this at least shows you how the initialization / login / termination of the API would work. That's probably the most confusing aspect of using the VB API for the first time anyway.
All that said, if this is from Excel and the user will already be logged in via the Excel Add-In, I believe that you can make life much easier and grab the hCtx directly without any initialization / login/ termination worries. I probably should have done that myself in the example I gave. See Tim Tow's posts in this thread:

EDIT: Two things I just noticed - first, the code sample I gave even has an example of polling for ProcState, so that gets you closer than I thought! Second, remembered that the line that reads...

...should actually have a 'less than / greater than' symbol between ProcState.State and ESB_STATE_DONE. Can't get the forum to display them correctly, even in code tags...

How come the same script only works in one form?

I made a checkbox that when checked it makes another subform visible. The script works perfect in one pdf. When I used the same script in another pdf (except I changed the variables of course) it doesn't work??????
It's set the same in both scripts. The subform name is exactly "CR" in uppercase. In the Events its set to click*, javascript at the client. Here is the script. Please let me know what's wrong????

You have to have the object referenced correctly and that can include subform and section information.

Two or more users editing the same script file in cq5, is it possible?

In cq5 is possible two or more users editing the same jsp file? There is a lock system preventing simultaneous editing of the same file?

as far as I know this file contains data about jobs scheduled for the reports server, so the only tool that can read that file is the reports queue manager (and maybe the only forum that can help you is the reports forum;).

How to pass a variable to the shell script and crontab?

here is my script.....
exp userid=username/password@realdb file=/u02/logical_backup/abc_+$date+.dmp log=/u02/logical_backup/abc_+$date+.log owner=oraadmin statistics=none
i want the exported file name as abc_2101.dmp and abc_2101.log (2101 is a date and month)
I want to execute this script daily at 02:00 AM.
so that i edited the crontab -e as....
00 02 * * * ./u02/script/dailybkp.sh
Now what i want is....
1. is the steps are correct for crontab -e?
2. Is the script of the crontab will execute daily at 02:00 AM?
3. how can i rename the .log filename and .dmp file name daily according to the date. for example abc_2001 is today's date and month.how can i replace with the variable.

sorry....i tested with cp command it was working fine...
so, i thought it should work for exp command also.
but its not working....also its not throwing any error....
the crontab -e is having...
00 02 * * * exp userid=system/password@realdb file=/u02/test/n22.dmp log=/u02/test/n22.log owner=scott statistics=none
also i have tested by calling the script.

its not working
but the below one is working....

also this one is working....

i listed the chkconfig --list crond
crond 0,1,6 = off
2,3,4,5 are on
what might be the reason?

How can i save the Visual script in other drive

I'm new in this Forum and i'm just started working on Oracle functional tool.
In Oracle functional tool , i can't save the visual script in the different path ...
For example:
I have installed this suite in drive C: and all the scripts are saved with in it..But i want to save the script in other drive whereas E: drive ...........
How can i do.....

hi
you can store the scripts in one of the workspace available in OATS.
you wont get a chance to create the work space in other drive then in which OATS is installed.
but if you need to make a back up of scripts then simply copy and paste it wherever you want them,and whenever you need to run the script then copy it and paste to one of the workspace of OATS.

COPING SCRIPT
There are some Standard Sap Scripts in SAP. We cant directly execute them in scripts we have to use some T-codes and by giving some input to the required fields we can see the output printform.
I will show one example. There are some Standard Sap Scripts such as MEDRUCK which is a standard Sap Script for Purchase Order and RVINVOICE01 for billing and so on...
To see oupt of MEDRUCK go to T-code ME9F give purchase order number and execute select one number and click on dislplay messages button on application tool bar you can find the print form of MEDRUCK.
You cannot change the Standard Sap Scripts but you can use Standard Sap Scripts and Copy them to userdefined Script and can make changes to them and replace standard Sap Script with usedefind script.
Ex: Go to SE71,
on menu bar u find Utilities->copy from Client. click on it u ll find new screen showing
Form name:
Source Clinet:
Target Form:
give Form name as usedefined form name EX: ZFORM1
Source client as 000 and
Target form as MEDRUCK.
execute.
Now, the standard from MEDRUCK is copyied to your form ZFORM1.
NOW, go to SE71 and give form name as ZFORM1 and do some changes to the form such as adding logo any thing. save and Activate.
Now, you have done changes to the Form ZFORM1 and u have to replace your form with standard SAP Script.
Go to NACE Transaction.
on Applications select EF for purchase order and click Output types button on application tool bar.
now select NEU as output types dobule click on Processing Routines.
now click on Change option on application tool bar and on right side u find MEDRUCK in form place replace MEDRUCK with ZFORM1 and SAVE.
go back twice and now go to T-code ME9F give the purchase order number and execute and select one option and click on display messges button .
you will find the changes that you have done in ZFORM1. so we cant chage the standard Sap Scripts by copying the Standard Sap Scripts we can chage and replace with our forms
