How exactly does syncing and transferring purchases work?

So I have a question. Say I've had a 3rd gen iTouch for around 2 years and have tons of app data on the iTouch. If I synced the iTouch to iTunes and got a new iTouch, how would I transfer all the app data onto the new ipod?

I recently purchased an app at the iTunes App Store (101 GamesUtilities)and when I connected my iTouch to my PC, the sync began. iTunes indicated that "Transferring Purchases from iTouch4 Step 3 of 4 Copying GameUtilities". Usually it takes a short time to complete this process so I clicked in a vacate area of iTunes and discovered that iTunes stopped responding and was frozen. I had to use control-alt-delete to close the iTunes app and disconnected the iTouch from the computer. I repeated the process of connecting my device to the PC and the iTunes repeatedly froze.
I then rebooted my computer, downloaded iTunes 10.1 and intended to install but got 2 options for action which was repair or uninstall. So I chose repair. This did not resolve the problem. I did not get any error message during this process when it finally froze. Can someone help? I also went to GameUtilities website to report the problem in event that the situation directly connected to that software.

I've got a Vado HD 2nd gen camera and it works great on my vista machine. Adobe Premiere CS3 handles the avi files nicely.
For a number of reasons, I've decided to exit the microsoft world and get a macbook pro. I really like iMovie.
Could someone explain how the transfer works in vado central for mac? Do I just copy the avi files over to the mac and it automatically converts them to mp4? Does it take a long time to convert the avi's to mp4's? Is there a loss in image quality in this conversion? Any information on this process would be helpful.

Applications not syncing and transferring purchases.

I just plugged my iPod Touch into my computer and iTunes took all the apps I had off my iPod and now it won't let me drag them back onto the iPod in iTunes. Also, when I hit transfer purchases (since I bought some music on the iTunes app) it finds the songs but won't copy them saying it failed to copy and an unknown error occurred. Can anyone please tell me how to fix these two problems?

How exactly does the logical shift function work?

I think I am missing something very basic here - I am trying to left shift an 8 bit unsigned integer by one place (x<<1)in each iteration of a while loop. So if I start with a number, say 18, the first iteration I get 36, then 72, 144 and after this 32, 64 and so on. I'm not able to do this apparently simple operation in LabVIEW. I tried the logical shift function and a formula node, but both dont give me what I need. The formula node appears to be close in that it gives me 18,36,72,144 but after that I get 255 rather than 32. I dont understand what the logical shift function is doing here. I have attached a vi here that shows what I am trying to do. Any help explaining the mistake I am making will be greatly apprec

You have the inputs confused. If you want to left-shift by 1 at each iteration, the "1" goes on the upper "y" terminal and the number from the shift register (the "shiftee") goes at the bottom. (see attached modification).

How exactly does Voip sipphone internet calls work...

Hi all, I've recently installed Gizmo Voip sipphone to my E90 to engage in internet calling, I was told to first purchase credit & calls are said to be cheap.
I would like to know which is a better option, with connection to WiFi or GPRS? Does the other party also needs to have the same services on their phones? Can I call both landlines & mobile network phones?

Basic troubleshooting steps outline in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. weblogic) get the default InitialContext(). One can write a new application and "drop"
it into an already running instance of weblogic server. This application should be
able to get the right InitialContext by using the IntialContext(). Is the PROVIDER_URL
set in the JVM by whatever class starts the application going, or does it use "localhost"
and default port - in which case what if there are more than one servers running
on a machine?

new InitialContext() gets initial context factory class name from the
Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY System property (which is set by WebLogic to
'weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory' when it starts) and PROVIDER_URL is null,
which I guess for WebLogic implementation means local JVM.
You can take a look at the javax.naming.InitialContext JavaDoc to see where it gets
