How Far Back Oracle Keep AWR Reports

Hello,
A quick question:
Does anyone know how far back Oracle retain AWR reports in the database? Is this something that we can customize? If it is, can someone offer some insights?
Thanks!

The default settings for 'interval' and 'retention' are (60 min and 7 days respectively),
Sample modification using,
execute dbms_workload_repository.modify_snapshot_settings(interval => 120,retention => 20160);
the parameter value is in minutes.

  • How far back does Time Machine back up?

How far back does Time Machine back up? Thanks.

Thanks Kappy and Tech Guy. I'll try and digest that info--it may take awhile!
Just for info, I am using a Lacie d2 500 GB, presently it has used 263 of the 500.
It is presently backed up until January 2010 which must be the date I hooked into Time Machine. I have a 1TB iOmega which I am thinking of using for the back up drive but feel the Lacie may be the better of the two so may leave it on.
    Thanks again. Cheers.

  • How to install oracle Forms and Report 10g in windows XP OS

How to install oracle Forms and Report 10g in windows XP OS. Already installed oracle Database 10g in my notebook.
    It is working good.
    please help me this issue.
    please give the steps..............
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    Hello Frank,
for development, you need to install Oracle Developer
Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.
    Best regards,

  • How far back do old phone bills go?

I know that you can view your bill online for up to 18 months and that you can order copies older than that for $5 a month.  But how far back do they go?  And do they show the same information that current or more recent bills do?  I'm specifically looking for text usage details.

Hello nealn09, you pose an excellent question! The bill reprints for $5 can go as far back as 7 years. The details that show on the bill are the same summary on a regular most recent bill. The messaging details on the bill reprint will only show the summary for how many sent & received. To request full verbatim from messaging, they would have to be requested from an attorney through court order.

  • How far does Oracle Support extend?

    Hi,
I have a problem determining how far I am covered by oracle support in a particular circumstance. I intend to use the DMBS_LDAP package to connect to a CAS authentication server.
    1. Am I covered by Oracle Support in this scenario?
    2. If I am covered, to what extent?/what cover will be provided?
    Thanks,
    JIM

    JIM wrote:
Justin and Billy, from what you have implied. Oracle will support their services to the nth degree, providing there is proof of bug.
Obviously the do not support third party tools. However, Oracle will not refuse support on the issue if I am connecting to a non-oracle product, such as in the scenario I described.Almost. You also need to show that the bug in the Oracle s/w is not caused by a "3rd party" s/w or unsupported/non-certified configuration combinations.
For example, last time I looked Oracle 11.2.x RAC was not certified for VMware. It is certified for OL5.x. So what happens regarding support when you run into a RAC error on OL5.x in a VMware VM? Had this discussion with an Oracle VP last year and he said along the lines of that support will be willing to assist, to the extent of certified o/s support, running on VMware - but should they suspect that virtualisation is the cause (or part of the problem), then one cannot expect support.
So in your case - if you do a DBMS_LDAP search and that crash and burn, Oracle will support that if it is a bug. However if you tried a funky method outside the LDAP specs against a proprietary half-baked implementation of LDAP, then you are on your own.
Anyway, that is my understanding of the issue...
FWIW, been using DBMS_LDAP for some years now against Microsoft Active Directory (authentication and SSO integration, and dealing with escalations and so on that needs organigram data) - no issues. DBMS_LDAP works fine against AD in our case.

  • How to install Oracle Form and Report 6i on existing database

    Hi all please help me,
My system is rhel 3 (update 6). My question is how can i install Oracle form and report 6i on my machine, which is already have database 10g R2? I known i have to create two separate ORACLE_HOME. Since i already had database 10g R2, can i just go head install Oracle form and report 6i on separate ORACLE_HOME? or i need to remove database 10g R2 first, and then install Oracle form and report 6i
    Thanks in advances

<< Why Forms/Reports 6i and not something later, BTW? >>
Presumably he has to support a client/server application. They haven't all disappeared overnight, despite what Oracle tell everyone.

  • How to downgrade Oracle Forms and Reports Release 2 ?

    Hi all,
I would like to ask what is the step to downgrade Oracle Forms and Reports Release 2 to Oracle Forms and Reports Release 1 ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
There is no such process of rollback the patchset.
If you have a backup of the Forms and Reports Release 1 , restore it back.
    Thanks,
    Sharmela

  • How far back is the MBP screen supposed to tilt back?

I just took my new MBP to the genius bar and they had to open it up. But now it feels like the screen tilts too far back. I don't remember how far it use to go before I took it and I would hate to take it again for nothing so I wanted to know if this is normal. It's about a 160 degree angle.

Thanks! That's just as far as I thought it used to go before, now it's a 160'. I'm going to take it to the genius bar today. Just have to figure out how to back it up.

  • How far back is the screen supposed to push back?

I feel like it never used to be this far back at this angle. Is anyone else having this problem or is it supposed to go back this far? it's like at an 160 degree angle.. as far back as I can push it.

Hi Insomnia: It's kind of difficult to see exactly from the picture, but I would say it is going back further than my MacBook Pro. Looks pretty much the same as all MacBooks or Pros I've seen.
