How far must you stand to record a person on video camera on the Ipad Air 2?

How far away must you stand to record a 6 foot person on a Ipad Air 2?

Experiment. Pick a wall near you, guestimate how tall 6 feet is (for me I can go about 8 inches above my head), step back until you get your whole 'person' in the frame.
I'm going to guess about 8 feet away, give or take. Of course anything beyond that you'll still have the whole person in the frame, just smaller.
However if you want them to speak and have the iPad's mic to pick it up well, the closer you are and quieter the room the better.

  • How do you load pics directly from a P&S camera to the iPad?

My wife and I will be going on vacation and I don't want to take my laptop. Is there a cable and an app to transfer pics directly from the camera to the iPad?
    Thanks,

The camera connection kit will transfer photos. It has a USB adapter and a SD card adapter. If your camera has a sd card then you just insert it into the adapter and plug it into the 30 pin connector on your iPad and the photos app will open and display your photos you can import all or just select certain photos to import. If your camera does not us a sd card then just connect it with the USB cable from your camera to the USB adapter, turn on your camera and they will appear in the photos app and you import them.

  • GTX675M Overclocking - how far can you go?

Seems hard to find numbers about this one.
    I hae a GT60 with the GTX675M
But how far have you guys been overclocking this card?
    So standard clocks are 632/1500
I've already pushed it to 735/1725
Tested it on Crysis 3 and it worked without glitches. Temps were around 93°C. Seems I can push it even harder? But to late to test.
I did not turn on the fan-button, so fan-speed was controlled by motherboard.
I did some OC testst with Kombustor and it locked up when clocking it lower then what I did above, don't know why, so I thought I couldn't get higher then 700/1700. Seems I can.
PS.: If someone else found numbers from this card in laptops, let me know!
PS2.: I guess when the 675M breaks, I can put in a 675MX, not? Same slot and all... Should also run even cooler I think, since it's a Kepler then.

Depends on what you want and what you are willing to sacrifice
If lower RAM speed is OK, select 5:4 to maintain DRAM within spec. You should be able to get 3.2GHz easily - possibly higher too if you have the right components and tweak it right  :D
You may also need to review cooling if heat tends to rise with extreme loads and major overclocking.

  • How far is it possible to upgrade a Mac Pro mid-2010 to the maximum extract.

    Hello
How far is it possible to upgrade a Mac Pro mid-2010 to the maximum performance. I would be interested how far one could come close to the performance of the new Mac Pro 2013, or is it hopeless.
    My computer
    Mac Pro
    mid-2010
    Processor 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory 14 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
    Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
Please excuse my english is not the best because.

    For what apps?
Okay, you have the slower 2.4GHz processors, most have found that MHz still rule and matter, meaning a 6-core 3.4GHz for some applications (most) was the best and the sweet spot.
So you could upgrade to a pair of 3.2GHz 4-core (cheapest) rather than splurge on two 6-core 3.34GHz (more expensive and more cores).
First thing to do, put the system on a 256GB Samsung 840 SSD.
For photoshop and graphics, invest in some more SSD ($US300 for 500GB) and put those on a PCIe SSD controller ($300 Sonnet Tempo Pro) and put Aperture/Lightroom on one, and use the 2nd SSD for scratch.
RAM: 24-32GB would probably help all but the more casusalist of user.
    Tips and articles:
http://www.macperformanceguide.com head to the TOPICS main page and there are dozens of sections each a different area of upgrade and optimization for applications. Storage, memory, how to, use arrays, backup strategy.

  • HT201301 viewing and recording internet videos ???? How do I use the ipad air as a PVR ????

How do I use the ipad air as a PVR to record and later view internet videos.
I want to watch the canadian version at cbc.ca/sochi which is streamed in real time at least 10 hours later during daylight hours here not in the 10 hour shift in Russian time. The events tend to occur in  the middle of our night and I want to watch in our daylight hours.
Yes the events are rebroadcast later but I expect they will be general and not specifically covering Canadian competitor. Commentary etc will be different.

    You don't.

  • How do you get photos off a digital camera and videos off a camcorder onto the iPad air?

How do you get photos off a digital camera and videos off a camcorder onto the iPad air?

You can use the camera connection kit.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD822ZM/A/lightning-to-sd-card-camera-reader?f node=3a
If your camera has an SD card
or the lightening to USB for your videos
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD821ZM/A/lightning-to-usb-camera-adapter?fnod e=3a
(might also work for your camera)
The photo part is rather self-explanatory. as long as your photos are in the right format and with the right naming convention they should import right over. The video may be a bit more tricky. So you may want to do some more research and make sure your camera records a format the iPad will import and whether or not you need an app such as iMovie

I have over 10000 songs on there which is 30.47 gb. far too much to put on my ipad air. How do I get them off my old iMac which has no internet connection ? And where do I put them. Any help would be appreciated

No I don't have another computer. I was thinking initially I would put them on my ipad but since I don't have enough gb maybe I can store them in some cloud thing? Sorry am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to all this. I just need to have them stored someplace and accessible to play when I need to. Thanks for your help.

  • How do you transfer video files from the iPad to a separate device?

How do I transfer video files from my iPad Air to a separate device or storage device so that I free up memory on my iPad

You can directly transfer photos and videos via WiFi between the iDevices, PCs, and Macs with an App like Photo Transfer.
    See: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-transfer-app-easily/id365152940?mt=8
Or you can upload the photos and videos to the Dropbox service using the Dropbox App on the iDevice, PC, or Mac and download them to the another device using the Dropbox App on that device. By the way, once the videos are on Dropbox you can share them with others.

The camera on my iPad air only seems to operate in video mode.  How do I cahnge it to photos?

To change the Camera mode you must touch the desired mode, say, Photo, and swipe it to the selected positioin. Just touching Photo is not enough.

  • Is it possible to have two USB drives for the IPad?  I want to bring RAW photo files from my camera, through the IPad and back to an external hard drive.  One of my cameras does not use an SD card.  How can I do this?

Is it possible to have two USB drives for the IPad?  I want to bring RAW files from my camera through the IPad and out to an external hard drive.  One of my cameras has an SD card but the other one doesn't have a card that would fit in any of the camera devices I've seen on line.  Realted to this, I bought the IPad camera accessory.  Can I put the SD card in the device and also hook the external hard drive to the USB port of the accessory and download from the camera to the hard drive?  Can I put Lightroom or the Nikon photo editing software on the IPad?  Right now I carry a PC laptop and external hard drives with me on wildernes trips.  Internet and WiFi are not available.  Because I shoot so many photos and they're in RAW I need to download from the camera to the external drive because I run out of memory on the PC (and it has much more memory than the IPad).  I have Nikon NX software and lightroom on my PC.  I'd love to be able to reduce the weight I carry by using the IPad to edit my photos each night while on trips.  Is this possible and how would I do it?  I'd appreciate any guidance.

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

  • 1. I have an iPod which has purchases synced with I tunes with an apple ID. I now have an iPad with a new ID for cloud. I have cloud storage capacity of 5gb which came with the iPad. How can I use one ID and store my existing music in cloud?

    1. I have an iPod which has purchases synced with I tunes with an apple ID. I now have an iPad with a new ID for cloud. I have cloud storage capacity of 5gb which came with the iPad. How can I use one ID and store my existing music in cloud?

    HI Frostyfrog
CHeck out iTunes Match which has an annual fee of £21 or thereabouts. You can store a maximum of 25,000 songs there and they all become available on your other kit, iPhone, iPad and iPod. I know it works as I have over 23000 songs uploaded of which only a few we're bought through iTunes.
it works by comparing your music to the whole iTunes music dadata base so you access the same tunes that you could get from iTunes. If you have obscure stuff, it uploads your own music to the cloud as a copy.
I Find it incredible that on my iPhone with its 16gb memory I can view almost 200 gb of music (ie my 23000 songs) and play any of them. Anything I add to iTunes becomes available via the cloud fairly quickly from a few minutes or a little longer if adding a lot.
The first time you use it it will take quite a while to match your music if you have a lot, but after that it is all automatic. Read the stuff on the apple site. Your PC needs to be at least running Vista. I recommend it and at less than 50p a week it's good value.
    Good luck

  • I have an Olympus E620 and have bought an IPad 4th Generation. How can I transfer my pictures from the camera to the IPad?. My camera does not take SD cards.

I have an Olymput E620 and iPad 4th generation, how can I download the pictures off the camera to the iPad?
The only cable I can find with lightning and usb is the apple camera adaptor but it is £25 from Apple which is a bit expensive if it will not work. Some peoples reviews seem to say this will not work, I can not use the camera reader by Apple as this only takes SD cards and my camera takes XD and compact flash cards. I have realised that you cannot use this cable on a card reader which is a shame and means taking more cables on holiday with you and more likely to get lost. This is so frustrating as one of the reasons of buying the iPad was to use, to transport photos whilst away instead of having lots of cards which do get lost and damaged. I hope someone can help as there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what works in cases like this.

go to start - computer - right click on ipod and import pics.
    Peace, Clyde

  • How to install software (on CD) for Sony DCR-SR68 video camera on my 2009 MacBook Pro

How do I install software for a Sony DCR-SR68 video camera on my 2009 MacBook Pro? The manual that came with the camera says the software cannot be installed on "a Mackintosh", that I should contact Apple.

I think that's pretty clear, don't you? (And, if it does say "Mackintosh", I'll eat my bowler hat.)
You can't use the supplied software with Mac OS X. Either install Windows on your Mac, if you wish to use this software, or find out (eg, by googling) what other Mac users do with this camera.
